  2. QUOTE(Reddy @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 09:11 PM) rowand and pods >>> cabrera and jones, especially when you are getting Perez too, only at the loss of Halladay. DO IT I did it. Here's to A-Row continuing to hit like a beast!
  3. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 05:02 PM) Anyone heard the weather for Sat. morning in Milw.? I wanna tailgate there 50 and sunny http://www.weather.com/weather/local/USWI0...rom=search_city
  4. :headbang Let the Tailgate begin!
  5. QUOTE(mreye @ Apr 1, 2005 -> 02:47 PM) WGCI this morning said that Michael Jackson has fled the country. Now, that was good...news! Mancow was reporting that Michael Jackson went the route of suicide.
  6. Last year it was the Sox trading for Griffey, this year it is Luther Head and Dee Brown have food poisoning. It is way too easy to tell when the guy is lying. I question why I am even listening to this crap.

    Kerry Wood

MB>KW That's for the old ESPNers
  8. :banghead There are also reports from reliable sources (Mancow) that the Illini have to forfeit tomorrows game due to NCAA Violations including accepting free hats and t-shirts.
  9. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 08:53 PM) Let me know where you guys are going to be. We gotta tip a couple. Shooting for Lot E along the fence by gate 2. i assume that is where a lot of the SoxTalk crew will be. Hell, I have probably crossed the paths of a few of you over there before.
  10. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 07:54 PM) Anyone know what time do the lots open? 12:00? I was thinking about getting there around 10-10:30. I heard the security will let you wait outside the lots before they open. Trying to get a good spot.

  12. I have been offered Oliver Perez, Aaron Rowand, and Podsednik The guy wants Miguel Cabrera and Roy halladay. What do I do? Rowand tearing it up right now is making my decision tough. I like Cabrera a lot and Halladay should bounce back this year. Opinions needed! This is for a separate $$ league, not Soxtalk 1.
  13. QUOTE(Tannerfan @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 07:55 PM) Last week I thought I"d be in Chicago on business around April 4th, Alas it's not to be, but I went onto Ticketmaster throught the Sox web site, and it said no tickets were available for the opener. Corner nose bleeds are still available. I was just on the phone with the Ticket office. They said some lower tickets may become available on Monday morning.
  14. QUOTE(YASNY @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 07:20 PM) The Bartman one was worth a chuckle. True, but I seem to smile and chuckle every time I hear the name Bartman.
  15. QUOTE(TheBlackSox8 @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 02:34 PM) WOW....one at a time....I'll pm you when i'm ready to do a sig. I still have to do Sox Hustler. Sorry man. Take your time. I'm in no hurry. I appreciate the offer!
  16. I got one for you. How about something with Kettle One, Red Bull, and Las Vegas Theme. Maybe throw a Camel Lights somewhere in the mix. This would take care of my 3 major problems. Smoking, Drinking, and gambling.
  17. QUOTE(knightni @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 05:46 PM) I have an extra 3b. I could use a quality OF or SP. I'll take a look at any offers come my way. Also, can someone post who is who in that league. I have no clue.
  18. QUOTE(Steve Bartman's my idol @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 07:46 PM) While listening to Boers and Bernstein today, a caller mentioned that Prior no longer wears his stirrups high, that his pants were now down to his spikes. He didn't mention steroids but said that Prior's calves are now half the size they used to be, and that he wears his pants long to hide this, anyone else catch this? I did catch that, but I don't think it really means anything. Maybe Calfzilla's calves were cold.
  19. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 07:33 PM) Don't say "easy"....i'm perfectly justified in my answer. Easy for me.
  20. Easy. As much as I love the Illini and want them to win, i would trade in every single win from this season fro a White Sox World Series Championship. No question about it. I should note that i did not attend U of I, but I have been a die hard fan of Illinois Basketball for 17 years.
  21. I can get away with reading and posting on Soxtalk at any time during the day. My pay is average at best, but the benefits (including semi-annual bonuses) make up for the lackluster salary. The job itself kind of sucks, but I like the people I work with and they are very flexible with hours (leaving early to get down to the Cell, etc). Plus, I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 general leave days this year. Can't complain about that. Oh, and i get to travel to some nice places-San Diego, San Antonio, Phoenix, Orlando, Washington DC, Amsterdam (coming this sept. can't wait for that one). I guess now that I write it all out that I like my job.
  22. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 25, 2005 -> 07:22 PM) 8 weeks along, everything is looking good. Baby is 1.43 cms and heartbeat is 158 bpm Congrats Mike! I didn't even know.
  23. QUOTE(daa84 @ Mar 25, 2005 -> 04:18 PM) err.. s*** i think its top overall prospects, sorry...the way it was said made it soudn like sox top prospects It will still be interesting to see where McCarthy lands on the list. His stock has definitely risen.
  24. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Mar 25, 2005 -> 08:24 AM) Reminds me of the National Lampoons when Chevy Chase drives that heap to Wally World The Family Truckster. "If you don't like it now...wait until you drive it" "Metallic pea? no, antartic blue, the sports wagon, with the optional rally fun pack"
  25. QUOTE(The Critic @ Mar 25, 2005 -> 02:28 PM) Does anyone know if the 31st or 35th Street exits off 94 are going to be fixed by Opening Day? I went by there last Sunday night and they still weren't open. It would SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK if everyone had to get off at Pershing and double back. I have no idea I usually drive in from the back rds.
