  1. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 06:06 PM) File this one under too easy... Drunken redneck hillbillies? AKA Indianans
  2. The girlfriend has unhealthy obsessions with Pods and Hermanson. Too bad she's stuck with me.
  3. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 07:40 PM) How about this little tidbit : Juan Gonzalez has done things in a big way throughout his career. His latest injury follows that pattern. Instead of sustaining a ``normal'' hamstring pull in his first at-bat of the season Tuesday night, Gonzalez yanked his right medial hamstring totally off the bone at the knee joint. Indians head trainer Lonnie Soloff called it a ``significant injury,'' adding that Gonzalez ``felt it pop, and it came right off the bone.'' To be technically correct, the tendon attached to the hamstring was torn off the (tibia) bone. ``Juan might be out up to three months,'' Soloff said. ``This is an uncommon injury in baseball players. Right now, it's quite swollen and sore. We'll re-examine him in two weeks after the pain and swelling subside. A determination on when he can return to play will be made then.'' Does Juan ever train? does he ever do anything to help him through a season? The Indians have to be kicking themselves for trusting Gonzalez, 600K or not. Sounds like the effects of over doing it while on steroids. :finger f*** him.
  4. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 07:57 PM) Politte volunteered to play short?!?! I f***ing love this guy! I thought that was pretty cool too. i wish Ozzie would have let him.
  5. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 07:42 PM) he hit a lot of clutch hits last year it seems... this year besides the angels he hasnt been clutch at all... with that hit against the angels i think it makes him 1 out of 8 in pinch hit situations. That hit didn't come as a pinch hitter. he already had an at bat earlier.
  6. Personally, I think they should go after Mackowiak. He is hitting great this season and he is a Chicago area native. Seems like they could get him for a lot less than Chavez. I'd take Randa as well. Always hated that bastard as a Royal. However, if you can make a deal that gives this team a better chance to win the WORLD SERIES this year, DO IT!
  7. QUOTE(skidoochic @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 01:27 PM) Ok - don't kill me on this cuz I know most of you do not believe in jinxes or superstitions but get this. I bought an A.J. Pierzynski jersey a few days ago. The first time I wore it AJ went yard but the Sox lost the game. I wrote that off as nothing. The next time I wear the jersey, the Sox can't do anything offensively, including AJ. So now I am thinking the jersey has something to do with it. Last night I did not put the jersey on until the bottom of the 3rd inning and, as we know, we did nothing. Then the top of the 4th was a hit parade for the Angels. I took the jersey off and the Sox came back. I didn't put the jersey back on until AJ was up and he struck out (I was hoping the homerun luck would return). So (sorry this so long) but I think the jersey is jinxed! I want to continue to wear it, but I don't want to be responsible for the Sox losing. Any suggestions to get rid of the jinx? Go to Harry Caray's and asked them to blow it up. :fthecubs
  8. Does anyone have Brooks' email address?
  9. The deal eventually fell through. We could not come to an agreement. I don't think the trade would have made much of a difference for either of us. We are both just struggling and look to shake things up a bit.
  10. I would give: Beltran, Mora, Figgins, and Oswalt I would get: Ichiro, Glaus, Jeter, and Peavy Good for me or no?
  11. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 25, 2005 -> 04:43 PM) All the more reason the Cubs need to let this stupid s*** die. Play a tape recording of Harry singing for most games, and then maybe have a few quality guests every now and then. As of now they just look ignornant with the idiots that get up there. If they are going to continue to do this stupid ass "tradition" they need to get people of importance that are from Chicago. No one cares about Roy Jones Jr or Jeff Gordon at a Chicago baseball game.
  12. That was some funny s*** when the flubbie fans booed his ass. After he was done Kasper said "Welcome to Wrigley FIELD" twice. Stupid tradition if you ask me.
  13. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 24, 2005 -> 06:36 PM) I've never hated a player on the sox as much as I hated Jiminez. Koch Parque (Olestra) Ritchie
  14. QUOTE(Steve Bartman's my idol @ May 23, 2005 -> 11:38 PM) He also mentioned that the Cubs and another Minor League team (National League)are working on a deal, he will mention the names being mentioned as well as the team tomorrow. He did say that they would get a power hitter in return. One name mentioned was Corey Patterson. I heard they were talking to Philly about Polanco and Wagner.
  15. Usually if you hang out by Gate 6 after the game you can get an autograph or at least say hello to a player or two. I used to go over there just to see what kind of pimped out cars these rich bastards drive. I have seen Frank Thomas stop in his Benz, roll down the window, and sign for kids more than once. I think his license plate said "Longball"
  16. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 13, 2005 -> 04:49 PM) No doubt, that was the best broadcast of a Sox game I have heard in a long, long time. I loved it. Too bad Robin wants nothing to do with being a broadcaster. he couldn't express that enough.
  17. QUOTE(KWs OK for Me @ May 13, 2005 -> 03:51 PM) I kinda wanted to see a combination of the two for these series. Like Hawk and Brenly for the first series and DJ and Kasper for the second. I think that would just be interesting and something new to hear. I would have to put a bullet in my head if I had to listen to the broadcast team of Kasper and Dj. :sleep :uhoh
  18. The guy never even went down after AJ tagged him. It looked like he was going to hit the dirt, but he kept his feet under him. What are they talking about "chin first into the dirt" huh? Watch the replay, the guy never is off his feet.
  19. They should just release all 3 of them. Make a statement to the rest of baseball that the Chicago White Sox will not tolerate the use of performance enhancing drugs.
  20. QUOTE(wsox08 @ May 13, 2005 -> 02:00 AM) I would sit back and watch it on HD.... I second that motion. I love my "other girlfriend" (that's what the woman calls my TV).
  21. QUOTE(traydragen @ May 7, 2005 -> 05:47 PM) Lilly out....by the way, what's up with that little crowd of White Sox fans they keep showing after the homeruns. I didn't think we had road fans. I was at the game, so I ventured over there. It was a group of High School kids from Dundee Crown HS. They were there for a band concert. Definitely the loudest group in the stadium for any of the 3 games.
  22. I was in Toronto this weekend for the series and Man Soo was constantly signing autographs, smiling, waving, and on mother's day he was wishing all the mother down the right field line Happy mother's day and giving them hugs. Great guy.
  23. How could they possibly leave out Ed Farmer and Darrin Jackson?
  24. QUOTE(El Piervizdyeguchansodnik @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 03:50 AM) NUKE_DETROIT Nuking Detroit would probably make it look better.
