QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 28, 2015 -> 05:13 PM) f*** Robin. You have been hired by Robin's team of people to fight internet negativity towards him. I am sure of it.

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ May 28, 2015 -> 05:04 PM) Scott Carroll last year vs David Price lol. I was at that game. I guess that counts. lol I was thinking Wilson Alvarez had a pretty good debut if I remembered correctly.

When was the last good Whitesox pitching debut? Seriously.

QUOTE (fathom @ May 28, 2015 -> 03:26 PM) Dan Bernstein @dan_bernstein · 1h 1 hour ago #Bulls sources: at least three starters ripped Thibs in exit interview, said they'd avoid team facility this summer if he were still there. They always avoided the team facility in the summer because Thibs overwhelmed everyone being there 24/7. I thought that was like common knowledge.

The Bulls org is at a point where I seriously find it hard to root for this team. The leadership are egomaniac pricks. Rose is the most annoying and disconnected star in the league. They will not catch up with the elite teams in this league in the next five years. Its just pathetic right now.

QUOTE (LDF @ May 27, 2015 -> 04:15 PM) i just went to see tomorrowland with my lady friend. for starters it is a movie for young couples with young children. not a movie for old timers like me. i almost walked out several times but i stayed to the end. don't get me wrong, great acting the 3 young stars were great, make that beyond great. they are going to have a great future in movies. plain and simple, no cussing, no major violence. a overall great family movie. bravo..... need more family movies like this. This lady friend must be a serious relationship LDF. A George Clooney movie is next level type s*** man.

QUOTE (Dunt @ May 27, 2015 -> 03:58 PM) I'm not entirely sure how Rick will fix this. While Ventura isn't near the best manager, the players are massively underachieving. Need upgrades at C, 2B, SS, 3B, LF, and CF. Edit: I really hate thinking about what the Sox could've been if they spent money on Russell Martin and traded for Josh Donaldson instead of what they did. Our current LF and CF arent going anywhere so they can get off that list...but the rest, yeah those need upgrades. -
Whatever. I am still a negative nannymuggins.

White Sox vs Blue Jays 5/27 game thread

We have watched a lot of bad baseball this year. Not that everything is RV's fault but damn, a well managed team doesnt consistently play bad ball like this. Is it sacrilegious to ask for a manager that can well manage a team? -
QUOTE (Iwritecode @ May 27, 2015 -> 08:25 AM) You would think so. Just this past weekend we had all 3 burners on low with the lid down. I was sitting right next to the grill and it still flared up. I ended up turning the middle one off completely. Maybe it's a cheap grill? The charcoal is plenty hot when I start. I use a metal chimney to get them going and they are ashy/glowing red when I actually put the meat on. I've gotten better but I still seem to end up with some "dead spots" in the charcoal where the grease drips down and puts it out. What kind of charcoal are you using? You arent using the stuff with lighter fluid that is supposed to excelerate the fire are you?

Most painful loss so far. f***.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 26, 2015 -> 04:30 PM) Firing a guy for losing horribly to an undermanned team like the Cavs? Thibs getting fired is a reasonable, logical decision. The noise all season about GarPax wanting him gone was just proven correct. Thibs is a great defensive coach. He can get you an extra 5-10 wins. He's not a top of the line coach that can win you championships. His record against Lebron is terrible. His record against top coaches is terrible. And his entire offensive philosophy is terrible. Rose or no Rose, it didn't matter. Not sure why anyone is sad that he's leaving. The Bulls since 2010 are the "imagine if" team. Now they're stuck in no man's land: not good enough to win a title, too good to find a superstar in the draft. Welcome to 1st/2nd round exists for the foreseeable future, with or without Thibs. I am referring to the manner they are handling it. If they want to fire him then fine. But to be bush league and wait till all other job openings are filled and then fire him so he has to sit is just ridiculous IMO.
-
I think a big part of being a Sox fan is we are notably the most pessimistic fans in the country. We will watch the team from a far when they are bad and every loss is the end of the season. Optimism my friend, only comes when they win it all.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 26, 2015 -> 02:08 PM) This Thibs stuff is crazy. Now there are multiple reports the Bulls are going to wait until all the coaching vacancies are filled, and then fire him. Pay him $4 million next season out of spite, and make him sit. Cowley said a player told him the exit interview was a slam Thibs fest. If the Mayor is hired and the Bulls don't improve their playoff performance, what kind of rope does Gar/Pax get, since they seem to blame this all on Thibs, who they hired, along with Vinnie Del Negro. I have a feeling the Bulls are going to be really bad in a few years. What the hell kind of coach do they expect to bring in to this organization when they treat the previous coach in a manner such as this? Its f***ing ridiculous if they actually do that with Thibs. Its all ego and no professionalism whatsoever.

Really the Bears were lucky this didn't happen later on down the line. Which it eventually would have considering he has clear issues but its like he never was a part of this team at this point and most people will forget they even signed him as time passes.

The asparagus has to go directly on the grill IMO, no tinfoil. Get a nice char on it.

IMHO unless you are actually there where you have given up on your fandom there is no need to make this thread. We have all been there out of frustration where we say almost but never really mean it. You are just frustrated like the rest of us and like Tex said this isnt even that bad. There are current fans out there that have endured hell of a lot worse with their teams and just keep chugging along waiting for that better day.
