I dont blame Alexei. He is aging and becoming a lesser player as most baseball players do. I lean toward blaming management for not trading him when they should have before. He gave us a lot of good years of decent baseball so I am really not angry at either side. But they better find a way to replace him by next year.

I dont know if its been mentioned before but I heard Keith Law give a pretty tough scouting report on Montas yesterday. He said a lot of the things that have been mentioned here before like him not having the ability to be a starter in the league because he doesnt have the pin point control that would be needed. Also he said that if he isnt throwing the 100+ he will get lit up because he doesnt have a ton of movement, ala what happened in the all star game. He also mentioned that he isnt ready for the big leagues right now.

Hahn said this morning on the radio that Sale will likely start on Sunday. He said he feels great and is ready to go. So TIFWIW

While I appreciate this I would of appreciated an article like this if he called it before the disaster took place. It is really easy to look back in retrospect and criticize but mostly everyone was hailing their off season moves just as they did with the Sox.
