7-30 Games
QUOTE(Jim Spencer @ Jul 30, 2007 -> 09:03 PM) Knights lose 6-3 Broadway complete game 6ERs he's now 6-6 with a 4.09ERA. Bourgeois 3-5 Sweeney 2-4 2 doubles Snyder 2-4 a double Super Grinder 0-4 2Ks and a .128 Avg. from looking at the box score, you take away the first two innings of tonight's game, and Broadway had himself quite the outing.

7-30 Games
QUOTE(Chet Lemon @ Jul 30, 2007 -> 09:40 PM) Poreda came in to pitch the bottom of the 6th, and promptly got three straight ground outs. he sounds like a good future SU man... I won't be happy about that, but I can live with that.

Miscellaneous "MLB" Trade Notes
I'm a big Jon fan and would want him to stay, but if we could get Kershaw, Hu, and Betemit for him, I would be so freaking happy...

Dye Trade Thread
my dream return for Dye from Boston would probably be Bowden, Hansen, and Lowrie... never gonna happen, but I can dream.

Miscellaneous "MLB" Trade Notes
With the Yankees getting Gagne, it seems likely a Proctor for Betemit trade will happen... I would love to somehow get Betemit and Hu somehow, and have our leftside of the infield basically consist of Fields, Hu, and Betemit.

Miscellaneous "MLB" Trade Notes
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 30, 2007 -> 08:47 PM) Las Vegas (Dodgers' AAA affiliate) starts their game in about 11 minutes and as of now Chin-Lung Hu is in the lineup, so there's that. perhaps they havent updated it yet... how many people here would get a hard if we traded Garland but recieved Kershaw, Hu, and Betemit in return?

Miscellaneous "MLB" Trade Notes
Jason Stark is saying that Gagne is heading to the yankees for Clippard, Marquez and a C prospect.

Teixeira deal done
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jul 30, 2007 -> 08:38 PM) You're a Cougar man, too? yes sir... but I wouldn't marry and have kids with one of them though. In 14 years Salty will still be only 35-6 and have a wife in her 50's... Odds are that he will cheat on her.

August Wallpaper
QUOTE(knightni @ Jul 30, 2007 -> 07:38 PM) I'll be making it tonight. I was waiting to see who would be traded first. go with konerko, I doubt he gets traded. Plus, I don't recall seeing a PK one this season. Or go with one of the only reasons why some people watch on a nightly basis now... Josh Fields.

Teixeira deal done
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jul 30, 2007 -> 06:30 PM) SI Man, he was doing one of his teachers while in school. Man, this guy just has everything going for him. He's not only a super good baseball player, but he was f'ing the teacher inbetween practices in high school.

Dye Trade Thread
QUOTE(TheOcho @ Jul 30, 2007 -> 08:04 PM) WE ARE GETTING SALTY~~@!~!#!~%@! Precisely. Texas wants Dye right away so they are trading Salty to us for Dye as we speak. A bold move by a bold GM.

Miscellaneous "White Sox" Trade Notes
QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 30, 2007 -> 07:59 PM) Why would we need Thorman? 1B is the last position we need someone at. He can also play LF and perhaps be Thome's future replacement.

Dye Trade Thread
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jul 30, 2007 -> 07:57 PM) I agree. Pulling the plug on Gustavo means nothing. If anything it prevents Ozzie from crying to KW to recall him next time Toby Hall gets hurt. Well, now we only have 2 catchers on the 40 man. So, what if AJ or Toby does get injured? I doubt KW and Oz would place Wiki on the 40 man, and they probably wouldn't want to ruch Lucy. Perhaps a deal is in the works where we would get our catcher of the future. If so, please be Bryan Anderson or Taylor Teagarden.

Miscellaneous "White Sox" Trade Notes
The Braves are said to be still interested in acquiring a starting pitcher. Now that the Braves have Tex and their LF situation is set with Diaz and Willie, they don't have any room for Thorman. I wouldn't mind seeing a trade of Contreras + cash for Thorman and maybe someone else.

Dye Trade Thread
QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 30, 2007 -> 07:52 PM) Seems that is likely. Then again, Gustavo was destined for the can anyway. Look for D Lucy to be in Charlotte in the next day or two. As for the 40-man spot... I am psyched to see what might happen. It's probably gonna be a whole lotta nothing though... sadly

Dotel's value
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jul 30, 2007 -> 07:51 PM) Wow, we have a young affordable closer who is leading the AL in saves on one of the worst teams. That is something you dont trade, bar none. So, if the Braves couldn't get Tex, and offered us Salty, Andrus, and Harrison for Jenks, you wouldn't make that trade?

O's pick up G-MO
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jul 30, 2007 -> 06:21 PM) Why on Earth does he get a nickname? He's not good enough to have earned a bad nickname yet. you just don't understand the awesome-ness of 'Stavo.

Iguchi Traded to Phillies for RP/SP Michael Dubee

Miscellaneous "White Sox" Trade Notes
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jul 30, 2007 -> 05:39 PM) Or we could always have Sweeney in AAA. Of course, then we'd need a RF. Sweeney doesn't need anymore time in AAA...

Miscellaneous "White Sox" Trade Notes
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jul 30, 2007 -> 05:22 PM) My God that's a horrible outfield. I thought to myself the same thing. I wanted to put Fukodome in RF and Sweeney in LF, but then who would leadoff... Richar/Ozuna?
-
O's pick up G-MO
Yep, something is gonna happen. also, could this mean that Lucy will be getting promoted to Charlotte? Or is Wiki still the man?

Dotel's value
QUOTE(briguy27 @ Jul 30, 2007 -> 04:19 PM) Fuentes and Atkins? I'd prefer Ian Stewart plus some.
