In Texas, if you are playing Football or Basketball, you will be taking "Football" or "Basketball" as your PE choice. Most of the other sports are the same thing. You will also be playing in "community leagues" and all sorts of quasi-legal ways to keep you playing year round. There is no pressure, like when I was in school, to letter in three sports.

You would also have to determine how often the letter K appears versus the other letters. To use an extreme example, if there were only 25 players with a "K name" and 23 where in the top 1,000 of all time, that would probably be significant. So it is more than just looking at the averages. If K represents 2% of the players and they are 5% of the strikeouts, that is significant.

I'm not certain why we're discussing self defense, Texas Law allows you to defend your property. That's why our crime rate is so much lower. Break into the home and you could get shot. I'm certain after these guys were killed, no one will be breaking into homes in Texas. The death penalty was served.

Most organizations I've been in the males dressed for their position, which becomes more conservative as you become promoted. The females also. Cynic says: Let's promote her before she sues us for harrassment. Optimist says: They are grooming her for the promotion and really care abuot her success. Time will tell.
