  1. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 19, 2007 -> 08:54 PM) I just don't agree that regular radio is in the same market, really, as conventional radio. But then, this argument right here is exactly the one likely in DOJ board rooms, and then possibly in court. What makes up the market, exactly? The only difference is delivery method, plus the consumer still has the option to pay zero and receive over the air content. Add in Podcasts, etc. and I could see it passing Of the six or seven subscribers I know that have Sirius, all have it because it was installed in the vehicles they bought, and none are Sterns fans. Very unscientific research, but fwiw. I was planning on buying a XM system before the baseball season started, so this is probably all good. Final note on Sterns success forcing a merger, I was thinking the opposite, Sirius didn't achieve the critical mass they were looking for and made themselves available. If they thought they could have caught XM, they probably would have continued to compete. 2. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Feb 19, 2007 -> 10:33 AM) Fox reports they're going with Norv Turner. Best guy left. I like the picks that the Cowboys and Chargers have made. Both were good fits.

Linked How many people have been murdered, couple broken up, and pounds gained based on his invention? RIP
  4. Interesting news. I wonder if this will cause rates to increase without competition, or decrease with reduction in advertising expenses, administrative, etc. Or stay the same?
  5. QUOTE(bmags @ Feb 19, 2007 -> 10:01 AM) so my friend sent me a youtube link of this. it is fox new's attempt of a "the daily show". It is beyond bad. I mean, beyond bad. link?
  6. QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ Feb 2, 2007 -> 04:01 PM) As someone who will probably have to choose between Al Franken and Norm Coleman, I have but one thing to say. Yuk. Amen to that.

  8. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 15, 2007 -> 12:04 PM) Damn. Did it have to be a division team? Good luck to Cliff for at least 143 games this year Not even certain I want to wish him good luck in those. Not because he isn't a good guy, but until the Indians are eliminated, they are dangerous. Wish he was in the NL.
  9. I watched the CNN broadcast of the off duty officer and was very impressed. I have a ton of respect for cops, who have to run towards the gun shots, not away.

What I think she can hope for is a sentence of time served. I wonder if she will also be subject to sex crimes notification and other measures.
  14. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Feb 14, 2007 -> 02:05 PM) Shoot we have like 4 or 5 offices that are closed. While they are relaxing, I'm continuing yet another 12 hr work day. Yep, another 12 hour day, another $600 . . .

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 14, 2007 -> 01:52 PM) What is the industry standard for coffee temperature? According to the testimony during the trial, most places serve around 155 degrees. At that temperature it does not scald. At 180 it does. And McDonalds knew of the danger. That's why the jury sided against McDonalds.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Feb 14, 2007 -> 11:50 AM) It was frivolous, even reading those blogs, the people are retarded. If you make hot soup in your microwave, you spill it on yourself placing it on your lap, do you sue the microwave company? can you sue yourself? If something is served hot, most likely it will be hot. If the world serves coffee at 150 degrees and one company sells it at 180 degrees, isn't that a substantial difference? She had a reasonable expectation that this was "normal" coffee, not superheated.

I hope the party down there removes this person quickly. I know the comments are not in context, but I can't imagine any context that would make it correct. This guy is an embarrasment to the American political process.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 14, 2007 -> 09:36 AM) Charlie Daniels is about the only country music I have ever listened too. He actually is a really nice guy in person. I met him at a county fair show a few years back. Well Texsox likes both kinds of music, Country and Western(1). Country was invented in the good ol' US of A. It isn't some hippy dippy liberal banging banging long haired jungle music Britain invention( 2). That makes Texsox an American and makes you, makes you, well it makes you a fan of far out!(3) References used in the creation of this post. 22. Isn't it cool to know we have the collective ability to destroy our planet and make it inhabitable for humans?
