Norm MacDonald riffs on the Croc Hunter
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 04:37 AM) I've always thought Norm is one of the most underated comics. Yes, I think you are correct. He always seems to make me laugh.

Put It On Shuffle
QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 09:47 AM) Ah, it was bound to happen. iPod won't power on or anything. The screen is on, but nobody is home. I played a video, the video ended, and the screen stayed on, but blank. Nothing works. Plugging into the computer doesn't do a dang thing, nothing. $400 isn't a bad price for a paperweight, is it? My son's iPod started working again after he took it apart. He didn't do anything, but all of a sudden it started working again. That trick has worked three or four times with him. Personally, I think iPods suck for quality.

NY Times gives lessons on how to shake the Feds!
The Soviet Union never had this problem. The government would just tell everyone the stories and then TAAS would report the news. No free press was needed, the government voluntarily disclosed that stuff. Too bad we couldn't be more like that. Newspapers wouldn't need confidential sources when the government starts telling us what the news really is. Once the government eliminates judges and newspapers that hinder their abilities to rule absolutely, we'll be so much happier. It worked so well in other countries. Sounds to me like they are trying to protect their sources. Sounds to me that if a whistleblower wants to come forward the newspaper will go to the wall to protect them.

What Are Your Top 10 Classic Rock Songs?
I could make another top 10 list, and be happy with it, just from some of the ones on everyone elses' list. I would say my top 3 would be Feelin' Alright - Cocker Shook Me All Night Long - AC/DC Anyone of several Who tunes. Hello It's Me is an incredible pop song and worthy of top honors. I'd probably also have to pull something off Tapestry and perhaps At Seventeen or Clouds and try them all on . . . #1 Guilty Pleasure -- Brandy

I have a confession to make
In Mexico, it is common to put mayo on a hotdog. That, my friends, is really disgusting. The imagery of ketchup is one thing, but mayo dripping off a hot dog is . . .

Voters painting state blue
QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 12:14 PM) Cook County is one of 6 counties that make up the Chicago area. The metro is between 8 and 9 million, depending on what source you look at. That is 66%-75%. But the suburbs are Republican strongholds. Lake County, for example didn't relect a Dem during the 20th Century. Will, Kane, etc? All GOP land.

As many as half a million dead so far in Sudan
I've written everyone in Washington. It is embarrasing we only value human lives where we have something to gain.

I know I was dropped on my head a lot, but Kinky is making the most sense to me of any candidate. He's gotten past the novelty campaign.

Troop levels to be reduced in Iraq
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:12 AM) But what happens if the same number of body bags come out of the region with 150,000 troops in the area instead of 120,000? Or more? If we have the same death with less Troops, I could still accept that. It would allow for more Troops to be deployed elsewhere. But if Troops go down and deaths go up, we haven't gained anything in my accounting.

Voters painting state blue
Not quite. Cook County is 5,000,000 and Illinois is over 12,000,000. Chicago is about 3,000,000. So actually Chicago is close to 25% than 66%.

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 09:26 AM) Hey, it's ok to like ketchup on your hotdogs . . If you're SIX YEARS OLD! You are all freaks of nature and a blight upon decent hotdog loving society. That is all. Children, what will we do with them?

How's this for ironic...
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 07:43 AM) Well, if Dog somehow gets prosecuted for this, at least he got that scumbag Andrew Luster off the streets while doing it. Damn foreign countries with different laws. US law should trump any foreign law when it comes to Americans.
