  2. From the teleportation for real thread QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Oct 5, 2006 -> 01:38 AM) why do I get the feeling that Jim has a Google alert set for "teleportation" that has been largely quiet until today?
  3. Damn, so you were once a Democrat
  4. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 5, 2006 -> 08:12 AM) I don't know how different programs work, but I paged in 6th and 9th grades at the Indiana state house... granted it was in 9th grade I pissed off the Gov, and we ended up getting asked to leave the capitol building, but hey that's another story. Common, tell the story. We want to be certain our candidate for School Board sin't hiding a terrorist past

  6. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 5, 2006 -> 07:54 AM) Oh I wish I had the balls. I'm this/close to making another move in the very near future. Might be time to retire... Found some for you to use Link You may need a pickup truck. I also found a statue of Nuke for your antenna
  7. Here's a question, why are there 16-year old pages? I thought the program was more of a college thing than a High School? Timing would be bad to do it now, but I think the program should be limited to 18-year olds and up*. *And to make it palatable for the congressmen, they must be smokin' hot.
  8. Notice how many New Years' Eve babies we have around here.

  10. Let's remember he doesn't speak for, nor reflect, the views of the vast majority of GOP voters. They have a fringe element, like the Dems.
  11. QUOTE(EvilMonkey @ Oct 4, 2006 -> 07:59 PM) Probably an error. When a Dem is in trouble, they usually omit the (D) entirely. Isn't switching parties a bigger error than forgetting the party? Do you believe one was a plot and one was an honest mistake?

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Oct 4, 2006 -> 12:56 PM) Mind if we dance wit' cho dates? And the version in Wedding Crashes is a remix of the The Isley Brothers' original version of the song. The Beatles regularly covered it back in the early days as well, and Green Day does an interesting version too. And we were just . . . leaving . . .
  13. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Oct 4, 2006 -> 12:45 PM) Supposedly Fox made that "mistake" in labeling Foley a Dem three different time son two different clips. unreal. I actually do believe it was a mistake. Call me crazy.

  15. bump Foley was identified as a Dem on Fox, the AP. What say you? Error or conspiracy? It didn't take long, did it? :-)
  16. You would think journalists would do a better job of hiding their conservative bias. No way all these are mistakes. They know which candidates they want elected and will stop at nothing to make it happen. Shameful.
  17. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Wait, that's real??? OMG. If that was CNN and they labeled a Dem a Rep, we'd never hear the end of it.
  18. Obviously the conservative press and their bias kept them for printing this story. You can bet if it was a liberal congressman, they'd have rushed it into print immediatly. If this isn't a clear confirmation of the conservative bias of the media in this country, I don't know what is. Come on all you media bashers, if Foley was a DEM, y'all would be screaming liberal bias for holding the story.
  19. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 4, 2006 -> 11:19 AM) SO stating that he had a bad playoff series in 2000 is lame? Wow, I guess im just a hater. bad has to be the understatement of the century.IMHO it was his worst moment as a player.

To Ga! To Ga! Brandmeier opened for Otis at Snugfest a zillion years ago on Lake Beverly. $25 all you can eat and drink. Man, what a party. Brandmeier rocked, Otis sucked. Half the crowd was leaving during his act.
  21. With term limits comes an even greater polarization of American when the leaders are interchangeable, the parties will mean everything. It will be the parties that create and maintain the machinery necessary to hold power. The individual, and his abilities, will be secondary. The people who get people elected will be the most powerful people around, and you will have zero input in who they are. The cadidates will have to be talking heads for the party. The incumbent will never have any power beyond what the party allows. We already have term limits. Every 2 to 6 years a person is up for re-election. If the voters in that district are too stupid to figure out if the guy is doing a good job or not, isn't that a terrible indictment of the democratic process? With term limits we are telling the American public, you can't make a good decision, we'll decide how long someone can serve you.
  22. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 4, 2006 -> 07:54 AM) I am an absolute believer that the law of diminishing marginal returns stands true. There becomes a point where they longer to do something, the less effective you are at it. I really believe our school board is out of touch with the community because they have been in front of mics for too long, and not in the community. Turnover is good in politics and you need not look any further than our current Congress to see that. Why doesn't that hold true for private industry? Would corporations be better if they dumped 1/3 of their employees every year?

QUOTE(The Critic @ Oct 4, 2006 -> 07:57 AM) It's not "Spirit Of The Radio", it's "The Spirit Of Radio". ......losers...... I assumed I was wrong and Kid was right, because he's always right about music.
  24. So we throw out the good because of a small number of crooks? SS, do you think you would be a better or worse school board member on day one or day 3,0001?
