Jars of Clay. Flood is one of my all time favs. I saw them live at Rosemont Theater about a dozen years ago.
  3. Changed the title. The court ruled that the most obvious reason to carry large amounts of cash is because you are involved in drugs. That sounds like guilty until proven innocent.
  4. Heading to work today, how many people should have been arrested for speeding? 50%? 75%? We have no control over what is on the money we receive, or the cars we rent. No drugs were found. No drug residue was found, no drug involvement on his record. His previous arrest was for a DUI. His property was seized because of speeding, scents on stuff he had no control over, a DUI he didn't consider a crime, and carrying cash. As it turned out, they could not charge him on any drug charges. And as for the scents, guess what, everyone reading this is probably guilty of having drug scented money. From Snopes
  5. During a Scout training we needed to sew a patch on our uniforms. One of the guys in my group, an eye surgeon, pulled out one of those round needles and a hemostat and started sewing. Took him forever, but I don't think he left a scar on his uniform.
  6. I expect this in the violent world of womens figure skating, but not on a football team . . .
  7. Did you at least use a suture needle?
  8. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 09:21 AM) Doctor's not in today. I've got to wait until tomorrow. What the F-CK am I going to do? I'm going to be stuck here, feeling as if I'm asphixiating, all day, with nothing to do. If you were older, I'd suggest internet porn . . .
  9. Previous arrest was for a traffic violations (DUI) most people think of being arrested for things like assault, robbery, drugs, etc. Anyone driving a rental that someone else rented is automatically a criminal? Rental cars have many different drivers, the current driver should not be assumed guilty based on invisible scents. next time you rent a car carefully check it out and make certain there are no scents that a dog can pick up, and also check your money. So Americans can now be arrested for carrying cash. That's nice, we'll seize your property, and if we find out you are INNOCENT, then we'll give it back. I thought America only seized property from the guilty.
  10. QUOTE(Soxy @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 09:20 AM) So, I tore my pants this morning and no one had any needle and thread. I have a big presentation today at noon. Guess what fixed my pants. . . Surgical suture from one of the rat labs. Woo. what, no duct tape handy?

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 09:07 AM) Mine. We can spearfish for goliath grouper. What would pair nicely with Ridley Turtle Soup?

  14. QUOTE(Soxy @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 08:20 AM) I am too old for all nighters. *yawn* Grading papers, creating papers, or a really good date?
  15. QUOTE(Soxy @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 08:14 AM) Maybe with a picture of you in its mouth? That works, or maybe the fish could holding a spear with my picture impaled on the tip. . .

Has anyone noticed how SL&M reflects how the team is doing? After a terrible loss, we have threads on a mom killing her child, abducted children, blown out knees, a guy dying while spear fishing,
  17. That's why I always carry a knife to cut the line while I'm spear fishing Ridley's Turtles and giant grouper. When I die, I want it to be in a similar funny way. No way this wake and funeral can pass without a couple of his buddies cracking up at him getting his ass kicked by a grouper. I'd expect nothing less from my friends. In fact, I'd like one of them to have the fish mounted* and on display with a small plaque. Maybe next to a picture of me. *taxidermy sickos.
  18. I am going to guess, that when all the details come out, he isn't special forces or a jujitsu master.
  19. Humans are cruelest animals in the planet.
  20. Steff, you are so right. Why can't people do the right thing? Children love their parents unconditionaly at that age and to have the mother do something like that is just unbelievable.
  21. Crap. That really sucks, and nothing makes up for losing a season. I f***ed up my Junior outdoor track season doing something stupid and it haunts me to this day. I carried a 12-3 record in the half mile into the conference championship. Screwing around on the triple jump (I have zero jumping ability, there was a girl involved) I fell backwards and hit my coccyx on the take off board and bruised it. I could barely walk the next day. I wound up scratched from the two mile relay team I anchored all season, scratched from the mile relay, and finished so far back in the half mile I should have brought a broom and cleaned up. The following year JC Lang of Grant High School beat me by about a half second and I took second. That should not make you feel any better. Philosophy time. When you read that you probably were thinking, big f***ing deal, it was a long time ago. Put your injury in the same time frame. Resist the urge to be a super hero. Heal 100% before playing again. Take care of your knee for a lifetime, not just for this season, or just for soccer. Also, use the injury to get girls. A bruised coccyx adds nothing in that department, but blowing out a knee has got to get you a couple dates and an excuse to not dance.

BMags, with the Smiths, CCR, and Velvet Underground represented, you're almost there. Remember shuffling was invented by old guys, why else would they call it shuffling? If it was young guys it would be hip hopping Jim, ok, I'm in. Who's beach, yours or mine?
  23. QUOTE(Steff @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 07:01 AM) Why would they have him as a risk in the first place? From what I have read, seen, heard, the g'ment had him pegged but did not communicate that info out. In reality, airlines see how many people pass their gates daily? Millions? Are they to be held responsible for knowing who possible terroists are? At some point the government has to have better communication with the airlines in nailing these people, no? Correct. And to get around this the government just figures everyone as a risk.
  24. he's 0-9 against the sox and batting .118 for the month, can anybody say walk off
