  1. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 11:20 AM) Nevermind the fact that he also hasn't had an AB in over a week... I was glad to hear Hawk and DJ comment on how good of a job Borchard did during his AB, getting solid wood on the ball on a tough pitch on the outside corner. Of course that came after 5 minutes of fore shadowing excuses. How difficult it is, etc.
  2. QUOTE(Steff @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 11:10 AM) An Ozzie clip this morning on AM1000 stated that Contraras would start Sunday if the game decided the division. Don't shoot the messenger, please. I was just clarifying. I assumed you had heard something. I'm hoping Ozzie meant play off spot, not division title. Because that would be the first time he mismanaged pitchers. What do you think? Contrares to win a division or first round start?
  3. QUOTE(Steff @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 10:51 AM) Contraras will start on short rest if the division is on the line Sunday. The division or just a playoff spot? I'm not certain that "wasting" a start just to win the division is better than having him start game 1 of the playoffs. If the playoff spot is assured, trot Brandon out there and let Contraras start game 1. Division title + Contraras start
  4. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 10:11 AM) You're leadoff hitter is only guaranteed to leadoff the game ONE FREAKING TIME. The order and what guys are paid to do is what matters, not how many outs when the sequence starts. No matter if he comes up with 0 or 2 outs he needs to get on base. The #2 guy needs to get him over and the #3 needs to drive him in. That's why the order is in place and so important. The team stacks their players in an order for a reason. If it wasn't important, you could just line them up by height.
  5. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 10:11 AM) Its all perspective. Baseball is just a game, this is real life. Prayers for the Crede family, and all involved. Obviously you aren't a true fan, probably just a bandwagon jumper. This is the height of the division race.
  6. In summary Get rid of all the players who's value is high (had good seasons) to Replace players who's value is low (had poor seasons) and Keep all the average players Doesn't that just shift the problem around? Now what was good sucks and what sucked may be good? At best, it produces a perfectly average team. That's buillding a winner
  7. We need to build without tearing down. Sadly, it always comes down to getting rid of the better players to shore up another area. It isn't building, all it does is scrape the high spots and fills in holes. It's the lollipop of mediocrity, one lick and you suck forever.
  8. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 09:48 AM) Yea, maybe Hillary Clinton to round out both of their extremeisms. Now there's a dream ticket. The Hammer/Hillary. Talk about the need for Preparation 'HH' - what a pain in the ass that ticket would be. She is a lawyer, and it seems as if he's going to need a whole herd of them . . . Sugarland will never be the same without Hammer :headshake
  9. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 09:51 AM) Go see my post on the "Preparation H" ticket... Hammer/Hillary. A great American get's smeared and you laugh damn anti-Texan media bias
  10. Linked here More at link. Nooooooo, I wanted to run with the Hammer
  11. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 09:42 AM) Kristian=girls name Christian=boys name desperate for a post? That was sooooo yesterday
  12. QUOTE(3E8 @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 09:37 AM) Nice save... damn, caught
  13. QUOTE(knightni @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 12:55 AM) Why do brides wear white? So that the dishwasher matches the refridgerator and stove. Why are women's feet smaller? So they can stand closer to the sink Actually, I am rather saddened when we start dividing the world up into conservative and liberal. I really don't care who is at the helm of PBS. After all it is PUBLIC and liberals and conservatives are part of the PUBLIC. As long as they are good, decent, honest, hard working, etc. it shouldn't make a difference.
  14. I was trying to replicate the problem. Which version are you running?
  15. Great 2005 I remember his struggles as a starter, and really enjoy seeing the success since coming out of the pen. He always seemed like a standup guy. A former ISU Redbird and Illinois bred!
  16. I helped out the title, hope y'all don't mind. Don't forget to bring your rally credes
  17. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 09:02 AM) :puke :puke :puke I'm about to rename the pukey smilie "DeLay" He's the next Reagan 08 He just needs to good running mate to round out the ticket.
  18. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 08:57 AM) Who gives a s***, we could have brought Blum in for defensive reasons after that AB. Sorry, title of thread Geoff Blum has to go!. So if Blum has to go, who plays 3B? I should have been clearer.

    QUOTE(Steff @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 08:03 AM) http://www.webistry.net/jan/consent.html Not over 18 anywhere in the US. Sadly.. 14 in Hawaii, Iowa, and some circumstances in South Carolina. 15 in several also. WTF Mississipppi? Only applies to virgins?? OMG
  20. QUOTE(Mrocks24 @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 08:28 AM) Timo is the person that should have been in for that situation, he hasn't played in like 3 weeks but he is mr. clutch Was Mr. Clutch then going to play 3B?
  21. Ozzie could have put AJ in, but Detriot had a lefty warming up and wasting 3 guys in that spot would have been stupid as well.
  22. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 07:33 AM) Queen, get this figured out? you right click where the toolbars are and you should be able to select it back in - the list of viewable tool bars come up that way. If I'm understanding your question right. It is also available under View, but if that's gone . . . Hey QP, Call Tech Support, act clueless, and argue with whatever solution they offer
  23. QUOTE(YASNY @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 04:51 AM) The ONLY one that's ever had the balls to say this while running for president is Ross Perot. I'm hoping to run with The Hammer in '08 I wonder how much support government programs would get if they came with a price tag? My fellow Americans, we are going to bomb the s*** out of Iraq and then rebuild it, blah blah blah, beginnning next month, send us an additional $85 per person, per month. Thank You. If you would prefer substitute whatever program you like.

    QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 09:44 PM) Okay, looked a little further into it, and I'll be damned. Some of that made ME blush, and well, yeah. . . Weather, yep, it sure is, uh, um, I think I left my iron on, I gotta go. . . I have to ask, your iron what on? My God, I can't believe they are made of iron, they could rust! I figured by now, maybe kevlar? Titanium?
