QUOTE(chisoxfan79 @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 09:50 PM) If the Sox and Indians win tomorrow the Sox only clinch a tie. And they win the tie breaker with the better head to head. So a tie = win -
Yeah!! BTW, THAT'S a distraction, Carl, Ozzie, Kong, and stuff like that isn't.

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 12:40 PM) Thats about all the Republican party has aside from race baiting and class warfare. What a bunch of sorry asses they are. And two sorry asses doesn't make a right.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 12:56 PM) it IS hard for someone from Cleveland to be a fan of football. Especially when your team is now playing in Baltimore. There is always basketball and hockey. -
QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 12:30 PM) ...and this is worth starting a thread about? Really? I, mean, really? The Sox have pissed a 15-game lead down their leg and we start a thread calling for Geoff Blum's head? ...amd I missing something? This thread wasn't really started was it? Slow news day, nothing else to talk about.

QUOTE(Wiredawg1 @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 12:36 PM) You guys gonna dump me? Cmon fellas we're arguing baseball. This is good s*** here. If I get personal, tell me and i'll throttle back. I'm glad it's the Sox. I was getting tired of seeing the Twins up there. Like I said, you have been fine, but we do get our unfair share of trolls, and to keep what is left of our sanity after this season, we keep opposing fans on a short leash and also suspend our posters for trolling other boards. There are a lot of woulda coulda shouldas this season for both teams. In order I pull for the Sox, the AL Central, and the AL. So after the Tribe nakes the playoffs as the WC, I will be pulling for you in every series not involving the Sox. -
QUOTE(kapkomet @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 12:32 PM) Actually, he seriously is a hack. But so is the "U can't touch this HAMMER". I know y'all can't believe I'm supporting the Hammer, but one thing I hate more than right wing extremists, are expensive political hack jobs. DeLay s*** in his mess kit with the redistricting, but it was legal. Run a great candidate against him and let the voters knock him out. Doing it this way is wrong. I really think he will be found not guilty. This just is to embarrass the man and the party.
-
QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 12:32 PM) Delay stepping aside as house leader........for now. GOP rules required it and the Hammer always plays by the rules.
-
So Chicagoans can understand. This is like Marriotti indicting Hawk, JR, and Kenny. The DEM District Attorney is the biggest political hack in North America.

QUOTE(Colorado Sox Fan @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 12:02 PM) If y'all can be civil we'd love to hear from an Indians fan. Y'all have a great core and I expect will be contending for a long time. Don't worry, we got our fingers on the dump button. We've always given anyone who stops by the respect they deserve. We've had Sox fans that were a hell of a lot more annoying than Dawg. -

QUOTE(Wiredawg1 @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 11:57 AM) I'm not trying to piss anybody off. I'm just pissed that the tribe may not make the dance, and in my opinion stand a hell of a lot better chance of advancing than the Sox. And I understand that it's a marathon and not a sprint. However the Sox remind me of the Ironman guy on the Gatorade commercial suffering from dehydration in the final 50 meters of the race. And what really pisses me off is the amount of time that Pronk missed because of Buerhle. We get that month back with Pronk and the Sox are looking up at us. Say what you want, but that's a fact. The Sox had injuries also. Losing Thomas for most of the season hurt as well. We could also add a couple other names. I guess we were better able to adjust and overcome. Injuries are part of the game, too bad the Tribe wasn't able to overcome those as well as the Sox. I believe every team in the playoffs had to overcome a key injury this season. BTW, the Sox should have beat Minny last seasons but unjuries to Maggs and Thomas crushed us. Cry for me Wiredawg1. Nice try, would you like to play again? Is he related to Dawg, the Bounty Hunter?
