New York Style Pizza
Sucks. What is even worse, it may have been the best pie I've had in a long time. Damn the south sucks for pizza. I have a little heartburn, so at least I have that going for me.

Of all the cities I could be in this week, I'm in the one major city that doesn't care about the playoffs, Atlanta.

Catch-All Anything Thread
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Oct 3, 2005 -> 09:56 PM) Heh, it's all I can do. I'm not big on emotions, but that suicide thread brought it to a head. Then I have it on shuffle on my iTunes, and the first song was a song I had about a guy shooting his friend in the head, and next was the MASH theme song with the words. I thought I could lose it at that point. Very few people can control when and how they die. Many people understand suicide for older people, facing pain from a terminal disease. Far fewer can understand mental pain, and suicide in someone so young. I'm not saying this isn't a sad, avoidable tragedy, I don't know your friend. Sorrow isn't forever, love is. And it sounds like your friend was well loved. Peace and prayers to you my friend.

WOW.....
Honestly, anyone here, with their baseball knowledge could build a case for 7 of the 8 teams. St. Louis is about as much of a lock as can be. After that, these are all great teams. Matchups are everything. A few bounces, some confidence, and anyone can get on a roll. I'm liking Houston and the Sox.

Red Sox 25-man Roster
QUOTE(redandwhite @ Oct 3, 2005 -> 09:19 PM) That hurts, I'm the best poster on this board. Maybe last week, and possibly next week, but this week, your a sawks fan. Your one of them But the best, most knowledgeable, entertaining, and erudite sawks fan I know. I kid because I care And let's hope the Yankees are playing baseball next week. I'd rather have the AL East Champs than the AL West Champs.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 3, 2005 -> 09:16 PM) Well you do have to admit, it's pretty rare that we actually have need of one. Yep. I do miss wiredawg1, he was a nice Tribe fan. I wonder how many Yankmee fans will find us next week . .

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Oct 3, 2005 -> 09:09 PM) I know I'm one to talk, but let's keep it friendly guys. Since we don't have a true, full time bawston sawks troll, REDandwhite will have to do.

Bush's nomination for Supreme Court announced
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 3, 2005 -> 03:07 PM) LMFAO. I wish people would make up there minds... first Bush sucks because he won't listen to anyone else, then we he listens to other people and backs down a bit, he is a wimp like his father. Priceless. That seems a little unfair. Are you surprised in this country that there are always people who will agree and some that will disagree? There is not one issue that America 100% supports. I support this position and would substitute Conservative for liberal and hold the same position. honest and capable (good character and citizenship) works for me. Did I hear she's a Texan? Then dammit, confirm her, she must be good.

Sunday Talking Heads bombshell?
QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 3, 2005 -> 06:40 AM) I stopped reading right there. That f***er. I guess we'll see. That will only make some people very happy around here. Maybe if a certain drug addict who lied to investigators had said it . . .

Student commits suicide bombing at OU game
I've heard it say that to attempt suicide is a selfish and cowardly act, but to commit suicide, takes courage. I'm not certain I agree with that. On some level I respect a person's right over their bodies. I also respect Cardinal Bernadin's view that suffering is part of our Divine Maker's plan and we should accept the suffering. Either way, I love that scene in the movie and the upbeat melody against the lyrics makes me smile. I wonder how many people have seen the M*A*S*H opening, the helicopters coming in, the nurses and Doctors running, and listened to that song, without knowing the lyrics. I am very surprised that is was written by a High School freshman aged person. just doesn't seem to be penned by someone so young . . .

I hope this will not distract the Hammer from '08 Damn, I finally like a GOPerhead and he may not be around . . .- Red Sox 25-man Roster
QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Oct 3, 2005 -> 06:56 PM) really? starting where? I saw in a few games this year and all I can say is he's Tony "Not your Father's" Graffy. He has blossomed and much improved. How well he would hit being surrounded by .275 hitters who couldn't "protect" him is open to debate. I'd take him over Blum.- Red Sox 25-man Roster
QUOTE(redandwhite @ Oct 3, 2005 -> 06:45 PM) For you, I'll consider it. Thank you.- 25 Man Roster set
If this decision is what decides the series, the series was already too close. Personally, I'd have liked to see Brandon. Fenway, 7th inning, needing three outs, I'm feeling better with Duque. Been there, done that. If we see Blum in a game, we're in trouble. I still like his mlb experience over Gloads. I'll take this lineup. Tough decisions and all.- Red Sox 25-man Roster
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Oct 3, 2005 -> 06:31 PM) Can't argue with that^^^^^^^^^ Seriously, where the hell do you think he would play? alongside Griffy- Red Sox 25-man Roster
QUOTE(redandwhite @ Oct 3, 2005 -> 06:18 PM) There is no way that Graffanino wouldn't start on the White Sox. He would have the second highest on base percentage, the highest batting average without question, and a slugging percentage good for 3rd or 4th on the team. They would find a spot for him, there is just no way. Any chance you could change your screen name to redandred for the next week? That way there's no confusion that we have a troll on board. We'll let you change it back after this series. Maybe I kid because I care- Catch-All Anything Thread
I'm sitting in yet another training class, I'm never going to be potty trained. Anyway, good news, one of the only cool guys here is from Chicago. The really great news is he's a Cub fan. I had to tell what my favorite movie was. I explained my fav movie begins production tomorrow, The Sports Illustrated Official White Sox World Championship Video. Poor guy almost chocked. I mentioned Steve Bartman and half the class laughed. - DeLay Indicted for conspiracy!
