  1. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 3, 2005 -> 09:16 PM) Well you do have to admit, it's pretty rare that we actually have need of one. Yep. I do miss wiredawg1, he was a nice Tribe fan. I wonder how many Yankmee fans will find us next week . .
  2. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Oct 3, 2005 -> 09:09 PM) I know I'm one to talk, but let's keep it friendly guys. Since we don't have a true, full time bawston sawks troll, REDandwhite will have to do.
  3. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 3, 2005 -> 03:07 PM) LMFAO. I wish people would make up there minds... first Bush sucks because he won't listen to anyone else, then we he listens to other people and backs down a bit, he is a wimp like his father. Priceless. That seems a little unfair. Are you surprised in this country that there are always people who will agree and some that will disagree? There is not one issue that America 100% supports. I support this position and would substitute Conservative for liberal and hold the same position. honest and capable (good character and citizenship) works for me. Did I hear she's a Texan? Then dammit, confirm her, she must be good.
  4. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 3, 2005 -> 06:40 AM) I stopped reading right there. That f***er. I guess we'll see. That will only make some people very happy around here. Maybe if a certain drug addict who lied to investigators had said it . . .
  5. I've heard it say that to attempt suicide is a selfish and cowardly act, but to commit suicide, takes courage. I'm not certain I agree with that. On some level I respect a person's right over their bodies. I also respect Cardinal Bernadin's view that suffering is part of our Divine Maker's plan and we should accept the suffering. Either way, I love that scene in the movie and the upbeat melody against the lyrics makes me smile. I wonder how many people have seen the M*A*S*H opening, the helicopters coming in, the nurses and Doctors running, and listened to that song, without knowing the lyrics. I am very surprised that is was written by a High School freshman aged person. just doesn't seem to be penned by someone so young . . .
  6. I hope this will not distract the Hammer from '08 Damn, I finally like a GOPerhead and he may not be around . . .
  7. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Oct 3, 2005 -> 06:56 PM) really? starting where? I saw in a few games this year and all I can say is he's Tony "Not your Father's" Graffy. He has blossomed and much improved. How well he would hit being surrounded by .275 hitters who couldn't "protect" him is open to debate. I'd take him over Blum.
  8. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Oct 3, 2005 -> 06:45 PM) For you, I'll consider it. Thank you.
  9. If this decision is what decides the series, the series was already too close. Personally, I'd have liked to see Brandon. Fenway, 7th inning, needing three outs, I'm feeling better with Duque. Been there, done that. If we see Blum in a game, we're in trouble. I still like his mlb experience over Gloads. I'll take this lineup. Tough decisions and all.
  10. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Oct 3, 2005 -> 06:31 PM) Can't argue with that^^^^^^^^^ Seriously, where the hell do you think he would play? alongside Griffy
  11. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Oct 3, 2005 -> 06:18 PM) There is no way that Graffanino wouldn't start on the White Sox. He would have the second highest on base percentage, the highest batting average without question, and a slugging percentage good for 3rd or 4th on the team. They would find a spot for him, there is just no way. Any chance you could change your screen name to redandred for the next week? That way there's no confusion that we have a troll on board. We'll let you change it back after this series. Maybe I kid because I care™
  12. I'm sitting in yet another training class, I'm never going to be potty trained. Anyway, good news, one of the only cool guys here is from Chicago. The really great news is he's a Cub fan. I had to tell what my favorite movie was. I explained my fav movie begins production tomorrow, The Sports Illustrated Official White Sox World Championship Video. Poor guy almost chocked. I mentioned Steve Bartman and half the class laughed.
  13. I would rather he be pitching for us than to us. Tomorrow is going to be such a long day.
  14. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Oct 1, 2005 -> 03:13 PM) How would I go about taking a song from my iPod/iTunes and making it my ringtone It will depend on your phone and the format the phone needs. Check the manufacturers web site for more details. QP, LOL a little about the weather, I went to the Bahamas during hurricane season. A brilliant idea.
  15. 2nd best record, the post season will determine if it really is the 2nd best team, it may well be the best since 1917. Being a north suburbs guy almost all my life, one of the joys of this season, and it was the same in '04 and '03 was hanging with dozens and dozens of Sox fans, instead of the usual few I hng out with in Chicago. Having to watch most games via mlb.tv and my computer allowed me to also log in here, that made it so much better.
  16. I can not imagine Ozzie not going with Mark at home and Freddy on the road. The again, Oz is sometimes too smart for his own good.
  17. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 2, 2005 -> 11:02 AM) You know what? WIN THE FIRST F'IN SERIES AND WE GET ALL PRIMETIME! The Texan makes sense. Now it's really eat what you kill time.
  18. If I was the one making the decision, I'd put the Yankees on at night. The ratings will be much better. Welcome to capitalism, American style. In a socialist regime, with a national broadcasting schedule controlled by the government, it could be more fair and balanced, with everyone getting the same scheduled prime time games. So you are a pinko commie of you think the Sox should play at night.
  19. I am so glad we have this "problem". As much as I believe BMac is going to write his name in the Sox record book, I'd go with El Duque. Coming in the 7th inning at Yankee stadium, with that atmosphere, I'd feel slightly better with the guy who has been there before. He's proven to me money in those situations. That's the Brandon v. Duque. I'd be looking at Marte long and hard.
  20. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Oct 2, 2005 -> 07:55 AM) I had thios burned for me like a month ago and the Game 6 reference was EXCELLENT... BTW the rest of the Stewie Griffin Untld Story, not sure if you will all like it, it drags along ALOT Did you catch all the jokes and refernces?
  21. LOL Sub Title of the Month! I'm starting to like the Rex Kickass handle
  22. People here in Texas have trouble with all those "shalls" and "shall nots" in the Ten Commandments. Folks here just aren't used to talking in those terms. So, some folks out in west Texas got together and translated the "King James" into "King Ranch" language: The Cowboy's Ten Commandments (posted on the wall at Cross Trails Church in Fairlie, Texas) (1) Just one God. (2) Honor yer Ma & Pa. (3) No tellin' tales or gossipin'. (4) Git yourself to Sunday meetin'. (5) Put nothin' before God. (6) No foolin' around with another fellow's gal. (7) No killin.' (8) Watch yer mouth. (9) Don't take what ain't yers. (10) Don't be hankerin' for yer buddy's stuff. Y'all have a good day.
  23. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 11:20 PM) GO GET EM GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe they could come help you next?? My town is 85% hispanic, who are they going to detain?
