  1. I'll take Thursdays. Actually, once again, I believe he has done a very good job of putting together a cabinet. I thought in the beginning his first cabinet was outstanding, and with only one small sidestep, this one is also shaping up very well. I hope his party can pull him towards the center. I am very optimistic he will have a steller 4 years.
  2. Look, only a couple changes and this could have been written for Saddam. Over a 1,000 US service men and women have died fighting to give the Iraqi people freedom of speech. God I hope they don't use it to criticize their president

I find it ironic that Cadillac would never have used a Led Zeppelin song when it was popular in the 70s. I do not mind as much if the song actually works with the show. CSI using Don't Get Fooled Again and Who Are You work nicely and I never tire of a good Who song.
  4. On almost every list of great free agent signings is Fisk to the White Sox. On some worst free agent signing lists is Navarro for $20 mil. I thought Belle played well, 79 home runs and all.

Elvis is already atop the charts in earnings for a dead celeb. There is more Elvis crap than anything else besides the last supper. Why religion and Elvis spawn such crap art work is beyond me. Which reminds me I have to go clean my Blacklight Elvis on Velvet painting.
  6. And in that is where the problem with drunk driving falls. In a cruel paradox, the moment you are least equiped to judge your condition, is when you really need to judge your condition. It is easy to say while sitting here we aren't going to drive drunk. Then you are out with friends and have a drink, you check yourself and know you are ok to drive. You have a couple more, laughing, joking, and of course you still believe you can drive. Then a couple of shots, you start to drink a little quicker, the music is picking up the pace, you are getting sleepy, and after all that, you need to get home. This is the time your judgement is at it's worse. I am not making any excuses for druk driving, just pointing out the unfortunate reality of the problem.
  7. Take a trip in the way back machine to 1999/2000 era. The White Sox were the envy of MLB with their minor leagues filled with can't miss prospects like Jon Rauch. :headshake One of these guys has to break through to at least a 6-8 kind of record. Anything than 0-season.

Alcohol is manufactured under controlled circumstances, you know what you are getting. Not so with illegal drugs. Alcohol use by itself will not cause you to be arrested, tried, and possibly convicted of a crime. Thus negatively impacting your ability to be hired in certain jobs. Alcohol can be purchased at the local convienence store, much safer than most drug deals. Just a couple differences off the top of my head.

  11. This may be a winner for the worst humans of 2004. :headshake
  12. I should have read further before replying. I retract my earlier comment.
  13. Gimme some lovin'
  14. Ahhh Elliot the long lost, and little known, Blue's Brother who was left in the orphanage. I heard he went insane and just stared off into the night saying everybody needs somebody to love and he just wanted a little r-e-s-p-e-c-t. They say he had delussions that he was a cowboy on the range and as the riders loped on by him, he heard one call his name If you wanna to save your soul from hell or ridin' on our range, Then cowboy change your ways today, or with us you will ride, Tryin' to catch the devil's herd, across these endless skies

$20 mil of the sale is stock in the new company. Her mommy is still getting paid as a consultant. Mike Jackson owns the rights to most of the Beatles catalog. It's a mad mad mad mad world we live in.

Strohs Pounders in the returnable bottles have a perverse place in my heart. But PBR me reminds me of old Wisconsin taverns with screen doors.

  18. We just have to beat the Yankees and we have a clear path to the World Series f*** the Twins, we are really competing with every AL team. This sucks for us.
  19. Another fact is the realism in today's games are many magnitudes more realistic than even 5 years ago. Soon, it will be very difficult to separate fiction from reality. Place VR eyepieces in place, walk into a 3D environment, and your brain is unable to separate. The key is the number of hours and judging each kid. But everyone that sees absolutely no harm in these games is kidding themselves. You cannot tell me that a kid playing these games 4-6 hours per day, which many, many kids do, isn't going to be affected by them. Take the same kid at 10 years old. Scenario one, he plays violent video games 5 hours a day. Scenario two he reads classic books for the same time. Are you really going to tell me the kid would wind up the same no matter how he spends his free time?
  20. My brother was killed by a drunk driver and the passenger in my brother's pickup was severly injured. The pain for my parents was beyond description. The drunk driver was my brother.

Or self control, pain avoidance, and responsibility.
  22. If your parents every morning woke you up and said you're stupid, you will never amount to anything, you are an idiot, do you think that would affect you? Some kids will feed their brain on nothing but this for hours a day. You cannot be exposed to those messages for that amount of time and not be affected. Same thing, only worse for kids that grow up in that environment. You are what you think about, train the mind and the body follows. Feed your brain with crap and become crap. But hey, I'm sitting here on death row, what do I know?
  23. That's too nice of a place for the likes of him, how about this little hell hole at 1060 W. Addison? Make him stay until he talks
