Houston or Atlanta Game 5
I'd have a tough time picking a team in that Series match-up. I like both.

Robin Ventura is retiring
There was a month when he was with the Sox that he hit like .500 with a ton or RBIs and Hrs. IIRC he ended the month with a walk off Grand-Slam. I'd love to find his stats for that month, I've googled and googled without any success.

Final Swiftees Push for Bush
$13,000,000 to explain that the military hands out Purple Hearts like band-aids and that Bronze Stars are meaningless. What a messed up system. I use to think our military was basically immune to this type of corruption and that military honors meant something. What a joke.

Nice to know the designers get stoned Inhaling "OK, I got one, I'll put a clear plastic bag over her head and make her look like a floral arrangement" exhaling and giggling . . . Do you think the designer hates women?

I know where Teresa Heinz was this weekend
Mr. Cantu has raised millions for candidates ranging from President to Senator from New York. Amazing in one of the poorest areas of the country over $500,000 could be raised in one night. :headshake In his defense, and to be fair, he is very generous to local charities as well. When President Clinton was here he took the opportunity to stop into Taco Palenque, a local fast food joint. I doubt Teresa made the same pit stop.

NASA buying spare parts on eBay
Which was my point. Is it such a bad thing that NASA is using common sense and what the private sector would do in this situation? I also assume they are sending these chips for testing before using.

Your World Wish List
Soxman, I'm not certain where you received your information on #1, but I know of no sort of law that exempts foreigners from US taxes. Down here we get people from all over the globe, and they all pay US taxes. If the money is earned in the US, it is taxed in the US. When I was working in Mexico, I received a deduction for taxes I paid to Mexico, but I still paid US taxes. Foreigners who live and work in the US are taxed just like you and me. Let me know if you know of some loophole. I have a few Canadian friends that would love to hear about it.
