Don't worry the spin meisters are already out and charging hard. I heard some of Rush and he's doing a great job with his Bush to English; Bush to what he meant: dictionary. There is no way the GOP can lose a spin battle. They have too many guns and enough time to win. BTW I have a few extra Bush Cheney bumper stickers if anyone want one.

That's why the democrates want to end HMOs as we know them . . .

If I was hiring a guy to go debate OBL, et al. I'd pick Kerry. I'm still on the fence for President.

It took me a couple minutes to type it I was laughing so hard. As soon as I saw the pic I knew where it had to go.

Point of clarification. They didn't "find a loophole" they put the damn thing there in the first place.

+ c + v From the astros site, used not by permission. I am hoping for a three way tie in some fashion. I would prefer the LA -SF - Astros but the Cubs losing in a sudden heartbreak, stuck up their ass, game would be fun also. -
Just the opposite: Southsider's complete call log for yesterday and the day before yesterday, and last week. . . SS 8:01 am "Hi honey I got to work ok." SS 5:00 pm "Hi honey, same old grind. I'm heading home."

Auctions are the truest test of market price. If it's more than you want to spend, not a problem. With the growth of eBay, shill bidding has dropped off tremendously. They have also done a good job of catching scams like that. They've been able to track user names and see which (whose) auctions they win and lose on. I was sent a polite email asking me about my habit of losing on a certain power seller's actions. I explained that the seller had the best items that I collect and I'm bargain hunting. They crossed checked a couple other losing auctions of mine against some of the winning, saw that my winning actions where at about the same price and went away.

Fuel costs, driver costs, it all adds up. And Steff is correct, it will just get passed on. Since everyone will use the toll roads all truck lines will have an equal increase. Absent of a competitive reason, increase the few dollars. It will be more of a burden for the LTL shippers.

Who won the debate? I can tell you this. It wasn't the American Public. Now, more than ever, I believe this is the worst choices we've had.

Isn't kap working in China? Would his boss be able to read Chinese? If he can read English remember there aint been a tree yet that has grown too big for a small dog to lift his leg on it.

Steff, Generally, the company must have a stated policy that all calls may be monitored. If they do not have a stated policy they must notify the employee that their calls will be monitored. It is also considered a good idea to have a separate line for personal calls that is not monitored and any employee can use, (with permission). What most companies find beneficial is to announce that call logs will be kept, same as kap's internet logs. Sounds like his company has hired a employment attorney. Of course they would have been counseled to accept the resignation and avoid any termination issues. The other possibility if it was the employees words that caused the problem see if there was a possibility that someone overheard the conversation, then no such privacy iddue would apply. Of course this is just from my experience as a manager in a company that prefered to have attorneys around every corner than let adults work like adults.

If I bid $50 the minute the item is listed it will still show up at whatever the minimum bid is, not $50. The only way for you to win is to bid more than $50. If that's the most I'm willing to spend, so be it. If you bid $50.50 a second after me or a second before it closes, it doesn't make a differnce. Likewise of you bid $40 is doesn't matter when you bid. In the end if you won you were willing to pay more than anyone else for the item. The newbie that bids early, if he wants to spend more will win with his proxy bid no matter how long you wait. What I saw that was funny was two guys I know entered ridiculous bids on an item through their sniper software. The item shoudl have sold for around $250. They both put in $1000 to make certain they won. Of course the item sold for $1000 and the guy was in a tough position. Everyone saw the transaction, our collecting group regularly reports on items selling for over $100 and we knew the person involved. The second guy lost because his bid went in :01 second after the first. The only example I've seen that is doesn't hold true is in collectibles. The area I collect has been hit with some fakes and in some areas there is not good data on comparible values. Most serious collectors know the user names of the other collectors and if I see someone I know to be an expert bidding on an item, I will consider that a sign that the item is legitimate. Their bidding early would drive up prices.

BTW, any decent size company monitors who goes where when on their time. IMHO it is there right, same as looking at your phone bill. I always received a report, but was a bit more calm and less prickish about how I used it. For example I know that one employee always had a browser window opened to the sports scores. As long as he shared the news, no problem. I could also see by getting off my ass if they were just browsing or working and flipping back and forth. Also the courts have ruled you have no expectation of privacy with email or telephone conversations.

I thought people were stoic and quiet in Maine. You sure have a lot to say.

What I heard directly was wanting 2 new Army divisions for the rest of the world and doubling special forces. I thought it was interesting he said Army, I would have thought Marines would be smarter, but my who does what amongst out military is cloudy at best.
