  4. Well we know who paid the league fee this year. If you buy the uniforms you can bat lead off Is that a 16" beer league? On advice of my Doc, I'm sidelined this year.
  5. For are Illini fans It may be all they win. But, nice season.

I saw a small child hit at a Road Runners game last year. Mom and baby were sitting in the 15 row about 30 feet past the 3rd base line. Dad was visiting the Skybox I was in for a couple minutes to say hello. Mom tried to dodge but didn't understand the aerodynamics of a baseball and it continued to slice foul (lefty batting) and she ducked into the ball. It clipped the mom's shoulder and nailed her baby. Scary, scary moment. People should always be alert at games. Even if you are seated away from the field, you could get trampled by people running for a foul ball. I think we all know the "red zone" for hard hit foul balls. I would question her judgement * If * she was sitting in that area with a small baby. So far we really do not know where she was seated.
  8. At best, I'm seeing an above average pen. I am very disappointed in Koch so far. Over all thought it is better than most. For many fans, the set up is an overlooked facet of play.

I lost interest in Chopper after about the 6 th show. It just became too predictable.

  12. The best cheap shot was Rick Nielsen, Tom Petersson, Robin Zander, and Bun E. Carlos Oops, I'm sorry that's Cheap Trick
  13. The biggest fight I ever saw was about 10 years ago. Minny versus the Hawks at the old stadium. In the pre-game skate around Van Dorp decks a guy at the blue line and a ten minute brawl started. The linemen had not even hit the ice yet so the players were left to go at it. I remember Keenan just standing there watching. I think the first official fight was 30 seconds into the 1st. I left the stadium around midnight.

Damn straight. Clemens and Pettit are the guys I believe you are talking about I always figured we should of hid PA in the basement like a crazy aunt. Never ask a man if he's from Texas. If he is, he'll tell you on his own. If he ain't, no need to embarrass him
  15. I am trying to figure out if we sold our future to the devil in 1961 to win a Stanley Cup. All I know is Pully is the 2nd biggest putz in the world followed by Dollar Bill Worst. I pray that mama Sutter didn't have another kid, or we will never get rid of the f***ing family. Those three shouldn't be running an ice cream truck let alone a pro franchise . . . And Print It!

  17. Les Grobstein was the only journalist who was carrying a recorder that day. This may have been his shining moment. The Grobber has a web site I remember Dahl playing it like 100 times. Each time it got funnier and funnier. He has a couple clips on his web site regarding the Elia tirade. One is a dueling banjos with Lasorda and anotehr sets Elia's tirade to music. Also from the grobber's web site I am feeling very old that a generation of Sox fans are not equated with the mother of all bloopers. I only wish it had been on video.

Actually it is a grain used to make Lentil Soup. It takes almost 40 days to cook and requires almost around the clock attention. For many it is the only cure for erectile dysfunction. Good luck PA With Miss Pa coming to town, he must be cooking a big pot. It is so good, that Barbara Streisand won an Oscar in 1984 for it, or was that Yentl?
  19. To me actually winning games is down the list for ST. Focus on evaluating players, getting guys in game shape, seeing what some of the guys can do, making evaluatuations on guys who may get called up later in the season are more important than the ST record. Setting expectations is also important and for that I salute Oz. I liked him as a player and believed from day 1 he was a great choice. In fact it's about the only thing this off season I cheered.

I plead temporary insanity. Nice to know you're still alive.

  22. Gee, if he's pissed now, he should have been around last year Hey Oz, let me offer you a couple tools :puke :fyou :dips*** They all worked for us last season.
