This is an old story, but I thought he showed a lot of class in helping the school that gave him his first head coaching job

Did he lose any weight when he joined the Sox? Perhaps he went on the Barry Bonds - Jason Giambi diet plan? His returning to 2002 form was key in my thinking we could actually do something this year.

KW to JR "Well we've signed almost no one that can help and we lost two key arms, what do you want to do" JR "Let's be more entertaining" KW "I'll hire a comedian as a manager!" JR "Nice idea, but he has to have some baseball experience" KW "Maybe I can get someone who juggles too!" I'll be far more entertained when we are 3 games over .500 We fumbled away a golden opportunity last season. I hope OZ can make up for Colon, Everett, Alomar, and Flash.

I may have the shortest commute. I have about 25 feet from my bed to my office. But I'm always visiting clients so I rack up 20,000 to 25,000 miles per year.

cw, Bottom line you cannot lie to the police. They get a little testy about that. If she had just kept quiet sge would not have had this problem. From what I read and heard it seemed obvious she lied about the phone call from imclones founder Sam Waxal (sp?) and the calls to her broker. Further she is not an inexperienced trader getting a tip from a friend. She was a very good stock broker in her earlier career. Still, being Martha did not help her with this jury. In a bit of irony. For comparison Mark Fuhrman framed a guilty man. Martha was convicted for lying about a crime she wasn't convicted for.

I was fishing the end of the open water season on the Fox chain. I had my father-in-law with me as we pulled around a point and stopped about 100 yeards from a small boat which was surrounded by dozens of ducks. It was obvious from their attire they were duck hunting (ok maybe it was the shotguns) After a couple minutes my father-in-law says "they must be waiting for the ducks to take off before shooting." to which I replied "I don't think decoys fly"

Nope, too big

Our constutution does not require anyone to speak with the police. You do have the right to remain silenced. If you give up that right you have to be truthful. Reading the transcripts I do not believe she was truthful. If she wasn't MS, and if Enron and all the other bs hadn't happened, we wouldn't be having this discussion. One of the juriors even said they were trying to send a message.

Wildlife experts in Britain are stunned by the apparent discovery of a frog with three croaking heads and six legs, Local 6 News reported Friday night. The frog was reportedly found at a children's day nursery in the English village of Weston Super-Mare in Somerset, according to the report. The staff at the Green Umbrella nursery first thought it was three frogs huddled together but after closer inspection they realized the frogs were joined together. A wildlife biologist said a reason for the three-headed frog’s development could have been damage to the embryo, according to a report.

So far we've taken $100 from the treasury and returned, at most, the same $100. Using Occam's Razor: I was going to send $100 to Washington. We cut my taxes and I give it to a bank so they can make loans. The $100 goes to someone who pays income tax on that $100. So he sends in $20. It still sounds like a $80 drop in revenue to the US Government. Again, I cannot see how we can simultaniously cut taxes and increase spending without running up huge deficits that eventually must be paid back. Our politicians all seem bent on this free lunch of decreased taxes and increased spending. Nice con if you are trying to get re-elected. If we are going to cut taxes we need to cut government spending. We need a balanced budget amendment that actually balances the budget. We can't have all the loop holes that are used. The biggest fallacy that our government uses is basing the budget on predicted income. Imagine going to your spouse and saying well we can't seem to balance the budget. Well just change the incoome projection and it looks fine.

Cheat, the evil misquoter lol I am not convinced how much of the rhetoric about WMD, etc. was out and out lies. I doubt we will ever know. I do think we had some hawks in the Bush administration that pushed too hard to go to war. What pissed me off about Clinton's lies was when he looked in the camera and denied everything, I believed him. Sorry, he lost the last bit of respect I had for him. At the end of the day, the realities of partisan politics leaves me with a hollow feeling about all of our officials. As an example if I suddenly was a Democratic Congressman I would be at odds with them over Abortion rights, freedom of speech, paying for programs, and a few other issues. I jump across the isle and it would be Capital punishment, tax cuts, and other issues. But to get anything done and re-elected I would need their support and money. So I'd have to suck it up and toe the party line, and sacrifice some issues for others.

91? Is that confirmed? Man I was hoping for a big rebound. I hate to say it but, could he have been "working out" extra special when he had the heater really going? i.e. before we got him?
