Five or so weeks of school left. Then three weeks of training. Then heading north to cooler temps.

My daughter had her bachelorette party in Washington State.
  3. I wonder why they were returned to anyone? The man (not a kid) was an adult and should just have had his property seized. Why even give it to the dad? And still not comment, middle of the night tweet, etc from the President.
  4. So how does Trump benefit by not acknowledging the Waffle House shooter or hero? Is his base really as bad as Dems want to paint it out to be?
  5. The job creators use the money that the middle and lower income wage earners spend to grow their businesses.
  6. I actually had a chance to play a round. A few things I discovered. I can still get a ball around the course, although I moved up a tee box. I went to the 6,500 yard tees and shot +2 for the back nine, including being one under for the final 6 holes. I just am too short to play the tips. This course has five sets of tees and I'm never going back to the tips again.

We're staying a little closer to home this summer after our 8,000 mile roadtrip last summer. It's a coin flip between the Rockies and Smokey Mountains. I really love Memphis and Nashville for the music but we're really wanting some quiet glamping time in our RV.
  9. Other reports say he is naked. I'd include that in the be on the lookout notice.

I received the tux a few days ago, I just now had a chance to try it on. Everything fit reasonably well. The quality is average. The condition of the tux, shirt, and tie were above average. Overall I'm pleased with the experience. We'll see when it's time to return it. But sealing it in a box weems so much easier than heading back to a store.
  11. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Apr 16, 2018 -> 02:40 PM) Seeing as the only "work" Cohen seems to do as an attorney is hush payments, Im going to guess that is what Hannity was paying him for. Cohen really had to be up to something, because only having 3 clients is absurdly small. Its not like he was general counsel for Trump's business, the business actually has its own real lawyers. (Edit) So some quick research, maybe related to: http://www.newsweek.com/sean-hannity-debbi...fox-news-588881 I know a couple lawyers who only work at the law part time. Their other legitimate business interests occupy most of their time. What it does is potentially offer privilege, which we are learning may not be iron clad. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 16, 2018 -> 03:16 PM) "Sean Hannity did not have legal relations with that man" Post of the Month worthy
  12. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 11, 2018 -> 01:07 PM) You cannot have a baseball stadium face west. It's one thing to have sun in the eyes of OFs. In the eyes of hitters is a huge no, no. I remember seats at Wrigley below the scoreboard in center field. Bad for hitters. My grandfather told a story that fans were encouraged to wear white when the opponents were batting and blue when the Cubs were batting. Not sure if it was true or he was pulling my leg.
  13. When I look over the list of key people investigating the Russians and Trump I see all Republican names. Trump calls it a Democratic witch hunt. How? And who in his base believes that?

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 11, 2018 -> 11:54 AM) 2 weeks in advance...that is a good deal. You should wear that tux every day of the week haha. Maximize the value proposition! One of my golfers is going to two proms about two weeks a part. He wanted to give that a try but his date shot it down. She was worried it would be late for the first prom.

  16. Interesting fact No one in the history of the Masters has shot 4 rounds in the 60s in the same tournament.
  17. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 5, 2018 -> 08:11 PM) You are a saint dude, I dont know how you do it. I'm going to send my boy down there for your tutelage I was working with a couple pros and we are convinced that six shots will create a solid high school player. Serviceable tee shot. No two chips/pitches/bunker shots 50% from inside 6 feet 2 putts from 40 feet to 6 feet 3 putts from longer Solid wedges from inside 75 yards. Long irons/hybrids/fairway metals just aren't that important to breaking 85. Just hit two 8 irons. Of course my players who are breaking par need a full bag of shots. But my goal is to get my freshman working on the key 6.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 10, 2018 -> 01:27 PM) True story...when my dad got remarried, I landed on the day of the wedding and arrived (and my dad had picked up my tux so it was waiting)....well, it turns out I had a "capri" tux because they had totally botched the measurements. Literally, the pants were like 8 inches off of my shoe. It was horrible (but hillarious). It was just a small wedding with only family so not a huge deal (only money spent was on a local photographer and food), but all pictures (except a few funny ones) had to be taken from the waist up. But I would had to have the situation reversed and that happen at like my daughters wedding or something. So basically...just don't be the goofball that doesn't try on a tux in advance to make sure nothing is wrong the day of the event. Haha. Didn't happen without pics.

They ship two weeks ahead of the date and anything that doesn't fit they overnight a replacement. I decide to give it a go. I know most of my sizes, so this will be interesting. I asked around school, this is prom season and a few had good experiences with the service. The biggest drawback I see is not seeing the actual style, color, etc.
  20. And while we call it the Baseball HoF and we hold a World Series, we don't really mean the world and we really don't mean all of baseball.
  21. I still think the best option is the west/northwest suburbs. I thought the area around Arlington Park would have been cool with public trans.

My tux is outdated and probably needs a lot of alterations. I no longer need a tux on a regular basis so I'm going to just rent one for my daughter's wedding. Does anyone have experience with on line tux rentals? I'm thinking blacktux.com which seems to get decent reviews and I like the idea of not having to go somewhere to be fitted.

Yesterday I learned that digging holes in rocky soil is a very therapeutic way to relieve stress. This morning I learned that old men should not try to get out of bed after digging holes in rocky soil.

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Mar 28, 2018 -> 12:18 PM) While we were away the Loop went out of business. That was a tad depressing as the Loop was awesome back in the day. Nooooo. I have to find my Loop Rocks album, and stare at a picture of http://www.wlup.com/rockgirl/lorelei/ They are still streaming, just not over the air Let’s get Jaked and blow lunch.
  25. Another thought, does the teacher leave the students to confront the shooter, or shelter in place and defend?
