This team could have easily won 30 games by now with the right manager. Great players, even very good players, can overcome bad coaching. Guys lucky to be on a MLB roster need great coaching to stay barely on a MLB roster. Here's the saddest part, most of the players are playing to their potential. Next step? College managing? Bench coach for an old buddy?

A decent starting player on the worst team of all time. It's like being the tallest midget. If we had an entire roster of his level we'd only by 5 games under .500 at this point. Move the body.

Today's will be great. "We tried to make the team worse for the rest of this season by trading anyone that could make someone's roster. Sadly we failed and we're all in on the rest of this season. We're increasing our season projection to 35 wins from 31."

Our guys are likely to get hurt, whomever we get in return will stay healthy until they put on a Sox uniform. Then they will get injured also and lose value.

Even though he can play at the MLB level let's keep him down so the team can keep another year of control. Exactly the kind of moves fans said were wrong during the lockout.

Lol During the player lockout fans complained about team owners screwing players over like that. Greedy owners putting profits over players. Players deserve the money. Their careers are short.

Getz just had to answer the phone and he's got lots of choices and opportunities. We'll never know the offers, so based on years of experience as fans, we will call his efforts a failure and want him replaced. His boss will stand by him literally until death as this point. The above I believe is an unbiased prediction. The following is based on decades of being a fan. Tuesday at 6:01 pm, the player we didn't trade will go on IR.

I break the season into the start, the middle, and the end. I thought April/May looked really good. By the end of May I thought he'd bring a lot more than what it looks like now.

I'm glad I'm not in Getz's shoes. If no team overspends, and he takes the best deal available, he sucks because he could have gotten more. If he holds and injuries cause value to drop, he sucks for not taking the best deal now. I don't see anyone going all in on a guy that's going to bring contract drama to your team chemistry and potentially fall off the cliff the final month of the season. I'm not seeing the haul I was hoping for when the season started.

I think at least one GM is going in thinking Robert will be energized being on a winning team. It is probably wishful thinking on their part, but could be helpful to us.

What SS kind of buried was my thought that a three or four team deal could be in the works. I've thing that is kind of nice. With so many teams supposedly interested it would be difficult, but not impossible, for the Sox to totally botch this opportunity.
