QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Dec 9, 2010 -> 02:15 PM) BFD. Bush Family Dynasty?
  4. Makes about as much sense talking about this as talking about if I would buy the team if given a chance.
  5. So let's see, the GOP wants to cut programs and the size of government, yet it doesn't matter how big of a deficit we run. The Dems want to repeal the Bush era tax cuts, but it doesn't matter how big of a deficit we run. LOL
  6. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 11, 2010 -> 06:27 PM) Call me heartless but I don't give a f*** what happens to anyone in that family. heartless
  7. My I love backpacking in Texas Hill Country
  8. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Dec 9, 2010 -> 08:53 PM) I hear you. Have they ever been to Texas? No way they get back alive. Only half joking.
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 9, 2010 -> 03:40 PM) Yes, they'll want more jobs. Don't you? Yes sir, since we'll have to take second jobs to pay back all the debt.
  10. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Dec 7, 2010 -> 10:02 PM) I'm ground-truthing the recipes for a couple cocktails for tomorrow's audition, and everything tastes pretty good to me. Honestly, the tasting dinner tomorrow won't be a big deal. The issue with me never having professionally tended bar is going to be figuring out how to keep up with the event menu drinks as well as the random call drinks, plus beer and wine when the line at the bar is three deep. I could have been on a plane . . .
  11. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Dec 7, 2010 -> 08:34 PM) Stay away from Bud Light Lime. Was that helpful? Yep, putting fresh lime into your Bud Light and salting the rim makes a better product IMHO
  12. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Dec 9, 2010 -> 08:46 PM) Someone needs to blow up a f***ing grenade where these people are before they get close enough to matter at the attended event. I hate turning them into martyrs, but they piss me off to no end.
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 8, 2010 -> 07:40 AM) Tex, I'm having difficulty figuring out if you're just going for Kaperbole here or if you're actually forcing yourself to ignore challenges to the slogans. If it's the former it's not worth me continuing to reply to these. Debt will destroy this country. I have consistently said that for years. Cut income, increase spending, year after year. What does it say when we have to borrow so much to maintain this country? Why not borrow an extra few trillion and give every voter a nice gift?
  14. QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 7, 2010 -> 04:38 PM) Not to speak ill of the dead, but she has come off as having quite a few issues of her own from what I have read. Not necessarily just the victim most people think. I am certain she was human and had a few issues of her own. Some of her own making. No one is ever that one sides.
  15. Having to live a private life out in the public must be so difficult, she seemed to manage it with a lot more class and grace than most.
  16. I forgot, how was it the Soviet Union collapsed again? Wasn't it something about spending themselves into oblivion and not having the cashflow to support it?
  17. Do we ever look for flexibility to sign an established player for a big contract? Or is the flexibility always to sign more cheap guys and hope they have great seasons?
  18. And what about taking 2% of individual's contributions out of social security? Nothing like having the average wage earner contribute less to their retirement. That doesn't save me any money, I am in a state pension instead.
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 7, 2010 -> 09:40 AM) In all seriousness, I have probably turned in 10 times that over the year and a half I have been out. I have gotten about three interviews, though one of them might be generating another chance, as the person who was hired for the position was already promoted, and I talked to the VP who interviewed me and he wants me to come back in again. I hope that comes through for you. This is also where people say become a migrant farm worker, landscapper, yardman, dishwasher, or a cutter in a meat processing plant. As if that is an option for the majority of people who are out of work. There are so many people out of work that can't relocate or have family commitments where it is cheaper for them to be off work than take a $6 per hour job.
  20. Everyone have a nice day.
  21. Overall it must be great news, Social Security is on such solid ground we can cut the money coming in. Plus we can borrow more money from China to keep government spending at such a high level. While we are pissing away our children's future, why not borrow an extra $20,000 per person and send us a big check. Cut the f***ing spending or raise the taxes but don't cut income and increase spending.
  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 6, 2010 -> 01:02 PM) Actually, he's probably involved somehow in the tax cut negotiation meetings in the Senate, since he might well wind up a deciding vote. Gee, are we unsure which way he will vote?
  23. Always nice to get a toaster
  24. Y'all got your Christmas shopping done?
