And left for better deals.

I like this move. Hopefully he works hard this off-season and continues the positive trend. The downside is we're not exactly the destination for healthy playing.
-
I'm certain he'll be fine with so many women and kids to console him.

This has to hurt TA's value.

Without looking it up if he did make it he must hold the record for playing for the most teams. -

Which cap would Colon wear? I was surprised that Joe Buck wasn't already honored. -
"He's healthier now" (hidden injury ploy) "We'll fix 'em" (our staff knows better) Front office flipping a coin before writing the press release.

Because not many folks want guys rushed to the majors like Vaughn. It's "give the young guys a chance" until they under perform then "blame the team for rushing them."
-
It's not happening with the teams that already exceed that.

As we noted during the lock out, the owners are getting rich while cheating the players. Where you one of the few on the side of the owners?

I wish nothing but good luck for him. $10 million should be the MLB minimum salary. Anything less is just lining the owner's pockets.

For anyone looking for a reason to get excited about Sox baseball 2024 This ain't it. But it is a nice win for Getz.

I'm finding Ranger fans to be very nice. Jerry, it's not you, you're you. It's me. I'm not good enough for you. You'll find someone new. I may even keep you some as a side chick. As your grandkids what that means.

Texas A&M won't have to look very far for an excellent candidate. Jeff Traylor at UTSA would be a great fit. But he may be too much of an idealist for them.

I went to a lot of games in years that there were no chance of a playoff appearance. I really wish I could get back to that mindset. Bring at the ballpark, seeing some good plays from either team. Just the experience.

In the past I planned multiple summer vacations around attending games in Chicago. Now, I'll be at a game or two if they happen to be in town when I am. I'll also check the secondary market for cheap seats over buying direct. I threw away a few worn out hats and shirts. I won't be replacing them anytime soon.

Donations. The athletic department spends a lot of time soliciting donations. That money goes directly to the programs. Plus all of the TV revenue, stadium advertising . . .

Boosters most have pledged an additional $80 million

Interesting with a depleted Sox MLB roster these guys think their careers would be better off in a system that has actual MLB pitchers in front of them.

Prettiest pig in the pen.

I honestly can't get upset about anytime the team does at this point. I also can't get excited. He grew on me and I eventually came to enjoy his broadcasting abilities. I'm certain the next broadcaster will be just fine after a period of adjustment. As far as leaving his dream job. I suspect he dreamed of being treated well and valued as an employee. Sometimes your dreams become nightmares or you achieve it and move on.

@ThirdGenCould it be he's facing free agency with a horrible public image and trying to rehab quickly to improve his signing chances? It seems like a guy who learned his lesson and trying to save himself.

GM Meetings Thread: MLB Rumors and Elaborate Boras Metaphors
Texsox replied to bmags's topic in Pale Hose Talk
If I was a player, he'd be my agent. Everyone else lets the greedy owners line their pockets.
