The only insider secret thing I could think of is someone at the bank, which is selling the property, told someone this property is going on the market for this price and the bank will accept this price. It is worth a lot more. Then the bank has a problem with that leak.

I guess my question, what "insider information" may have been given that was unethical? That a property was going to come on the market?

The person coming in 36 hours later would have said the same thing about your dad and his offer. If whomever was selling was smart they would have told everyone and anyone of the property's availability. Accepting a quick offer seems within the rights of the seller. So unless I am missing something, this seems fine from a ethics stand point.

Of course now Homeland security is less about jets flying into towers and more about Mexican low skilled workers taking low skilled jobs from Americans.

Interesting, the last thing I remember seeing was that about 15% of the workers, and their were tens of thousands, were paid and the rest were indentured or slaves.
