QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 16, 2017 -> 09:01 AM) Yeah I saw a spoiler. And I hate that I saw it. Yup, ran across it by accident today. -

QUOTE (MEANS @ Aug 15, 2017 -> 03:48 PM) Did I miss how the Hound and the others wound up in Eastwatch? The Hound had those visions in the fire, looks like they took them and headed up there. -
By the way, stating someone who voted for a hate-mongering politician allowed racism does not make that person inherently a racist. I'm not saying that they will go out and call someone the n word or not hire someone because of their race, I don't think that many people are that DIRECTLY racist. But I do think that by voting and encouraging those behaviors and policies, that you are supporting or at minimum allowing racism in favor of other things (such as economic support). I wish I saw a lot more Trump voters upset about these Nazi rallies, but instead they get more worked up about libtards and anti-fas instead of the root issue. That doesn't make someone racist, but I sure question if they have the right perspectives.

I was pretty hyped to see the Hound, Beric, etc at the wall, but to get a wight just seems like a silly side mission in the overall scheme of things. Considering they cut the seasons down so much and still found a huge chunk of time for this quest seems odd. I'd rather have more flashbacks with Bran to uncover more nuggets and such, but oh well, hopefully they do it well. I'm sure it'll be entertaining having all of them fighting. And it sure seems like they are setting up Dany to do 1 of 2 things (IMO): 1. Become too much like the Mad King and get killed off 2. Jon is able to counsel her enough in a marriage as they co-rule I'm leaning towards #1 as being the choice, just too many references thus far to her father, her cruelty, Varys, etc. -
I think it's totally fair to hold people accountable for those who voted for economic progress over race/social issues. Isn't that how the Nazis gained power in the first place?

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 8, 2017 -> 03:40 PM) This might be our next show. The first episode was nuts, and man they aren't afraid to take turns.

Just wrapped up Ozarks last night, I was hooked throughout.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 8, 2017 -> 02:58 PM) Its also not true. You arent wealthy if you are bringing in 1000 bucks a month but your expenses are 800. I believe they meant that if your assets (dividends, rentals, etc) cover your expenses, which leaves salary/wage income then you are wealthy. It's one way to look at it, don't think I really agree with it but I could see how someone labels that as wealthy.

QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Aug 8, 2017 -> 01:31 PM) Emilia Clarke and Kit Harrington are both pretty poor actors. Emilia looks the part at least, but Kit doesn't. Meh, disagree on both. I don't think they are stellar but I wouldn't call them poor, and not sure why Kit doesn't fit the description. -

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 8, 2017 -> 11:12 AM) The fact that Jaime and Bronn kept getting "saved" in the knick of time multiple times in that battle bothered me way more than it probably should. I was prepared for Dickon and Bronn to die, a bit surprised both survived, well thus far. -

Bran is like a computer right now, and he's still processing the world torrent. I am a bit surprised he hasn't been offering more tidbits but I think that's just related to him trying to understand the info still. -

First off, the battle scene was pretty great IMO. The Tarlys being with the Lannisters and talking about fighting the Tyrells adds some clarity to how easily Highgarden fell. it was assumed but good to see confirmed. -

QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Jul 31, 2017 -> 09:13 AM) We've also hit the point where a strange phenomenon in TV occurs. People start to watch the show just to find inconsistencies. It happened with The Sopranos too. This show is even more subject to it because of its incredibly massive scale. I agree with this statement. -

To your last point, I think it's a calculated risk. Davos was able to see the plan of Dany not wanting to be known as a conquerer, so not out of the realm of thought that Cersei saw it as well. Tyrion has gotten his ass kicked in his plans so far, my one thought is that they are getting beat up so badly that they will have to go the Stannis route. Go up north to secure an ally there and fight the white walkers, win the realm over by saving it. -

Yea this is my issue with shortening the seasons, they just want to get to the end without being clear on how they are getting to it. Not saying we need filler to show ships moving from Dorne to Highgarden but some time lapse would be nice (or more explanation). -

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 26, 2017 -> 04:04 PM) It's pretty true, Russ. Of course some s***ty teams have a few decent pieces to move, but a lot of teams that suck don't have crap to move, which is why they haven't been moving it. Anyways, I won't fight you guys anymore on this. I see pretty much everyone is pleased with the deal and I'm not here trying to change that. Just expressing a different opinion. My apologies to anyone I may have offended or been abrasive with. Please enjoy Ryan Cordell and Ian Clarkin until your hearts are content. It's ok to be disappointed by the returns, but honestly you've gone a bit off the deep end in your reactions and I think that's why people have jumped on you. In the long run, will this trade really be worth this much discussion? Probably not. I am optimistic because these ARE the moves that Hahn needs to make, sign cheap players and hope they turn into additional resources in the future. Whether he makes the right trades will be determined but I'm encouraged by the process. -

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 26, 2017 -> 03:48 PM) Think about this...bats apparently have no value in this market. The market is "flooded" with relief arms. There have been basically 5-6 rumored decent SP on the market. There are basically 15-16 supposed buyers in the market right now, and maybe 10-11 sellers. And the sellers aren't exactly loaded with great pieces, or else they wouldn't be selling. They'd be good. And half of those teams haven't sold anything yet. Several of those selling teams went into the year attempting to suck, so they don't even have many movable pieces, because they are all kids. We've seen 6 teams sell thus far - CWS, Oak, SF, Mia, Det and SD, three of which have moved relief arms. And honestly, don't worry about what I am or am not upset about. That middle paragraph isn't true, we had great pieces to trade but we sucked. The market for rental players has been weak this year compared to recent years, unfortunate but that's the market thus far. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 25, 2017 -> 08:56 AM) Every single battle plan Cersei has come up with has worked to fend off armies or enemies that should have beaten her. IMO this is the time where she is confident and the f***ing dragon comes out of the sky and torches every one of those p**** crossbows. The show has made it a point to have the dragons stay in one place while breathing fire (not all the time but frequently), my guess is during one of those times an arrow from one of the crossbows will hit them. Gotta remember, no one has battled with a dragon in hundreds of years, tactics to protect them and avoid such defenses aren't really known at this point. -

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 25, 2017 -> 10:17 AM) The Dorne characters were crappy in the shows (and weren't well received) which is why I presumed their were whacked so quick this season. Yea seemed like an out clause for the show writers. Even their dialogue before the battle scene was pathetic, they clearly didn't want to invest the time into making Dorne work. Which is too bad, one of the more underrated stories in the books imo. -

You literally have to sail through Blackwater Bay and past Dragonstone if you're coming from King's Landing, so it's not that crazy to think that Euron kept some spies/ships near Dragonstone to keep tabs on Dany's fleet and where they were heading. That's about the least crazy thing in that episode. I don't think Euron is that awful, not really sure why you guys are hating on him so much. He's not the best villain type but there's been worse. The sea-battle sequence had some nice shots but wasn't nearly as good as I thought it would be. And agreed on the Sand Snakes, happy they are pretty much gone, but their army should still stand and "should" still have a part but who knows now. I take it though that Olenna wasn't in that fleet. -

QUOTE (farmteam @ Jul 23, 2017 -> 10:50 PM) Didn't think that meetup would happen that quickly, though as Russ mentioned they were already in King's Landing and Dragonstone anyway. And what up, Hotpie?! I burst out laughing at "I can't believe I thought you were a boy. You're pretty!" Speaking of hot pies, I don't think I'll be able to eat pot pie for awhile. Jeebus, that transition. -

Well that throws some wrenches into Dany 's gears.
