QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 25, 2016 -> 03:29 PM) I dont think she sacrifices herself at all, and I do think she resurrects him. I dont see why sacrificing herself is necessary, back when Arya met those people in the forest and a guy was resurrected in front of her(pardon me for forgetting their names, its been a while), was someone sacrificed? I thought I remember the priest(or the guy who performed the resurrection) was fine, but the guy who was resurrected said that every time it happens, there is a little more of something missing of himself I probably have it all wrong, lol. Feel free to correct me Nope you're right, Thoros of Myr resurrects Beric Dondarrion, no sacrifice was needed. Beric just felt less and less human each time, mentioned he forgets who he is a bit as well, has less memories, etc. -

QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Apr 25, 2016 -> 03:18 PM) His death was weak, but he had to go. We've got limited hours left, gotta cut down the field of contenders. Melisandre predictions? Has a new vision that Jon is THE ONE? Sacrifices herself to rez Jon? Sacrifices someone else to rez Jon? Too depressed to do anything? I think her taking the necklace off is her faith wavering and kind of letting herself go (aka let nature kill her). However, some sign, most likely fire related, will have her perform the last kiss ritual and it reserructs Jon. -
Here's my problem with Clinton, lots of people used to be against gay marriage, and I'm glad that she is one of the people that now publically supports it. But what I don't like about her is that she will come out and state that she was always for it, when there is video evidence of her stating otherwise. I'm not bashing anyone who has changed their minds, but rather how they respond to people saying they changed their mind. She just goes straight to a bold faced lie, when a respectable answer would've been "times have changed, and so have my opinions. I've grown and matured and so have some of my ideologies, one of those being my support for gay marriage." If she gives an answer like that it humanizes her, because we've all had moments like that where we've decided that something we used to believe just doesn't mesh with your current moral stances. She decided that her best course of action was lying when there was a very good opportunity to give a reasonable and relatable answer, and that's why I don't trust her. (and this isn't the only time she's done this)

Woah, people don't want to see Cersei punished? Yea she has her moments of pity but damn she's up on the list for most people on who they'd like to see revenge on. -

QUOTE (illinilaw08 @ Apr 25, 2016 -> 11:07 AM) She didn't. Arianne went bonkers in the books and her and the Sand Snakes end up locked up. Then Arianne finds out about Doran's plan and gets on board. The biggest issue to me is that the events in the show don't make sense. Ellaria's only standing in the show is as Oberyn's lover. I didn't have a problem with them aggregating those characters previously, but it doesn't make a whole lot of sense that Oberyn's lover would have had such access to Doran Martell. Arienne killing Doran and taking over rule of Dorne makes more sense logistically. Not sure what Dorne looks like re: succession, but I have a really hard time believing Ellaria is anywhere the front of that succession... Plus, the biggest issue with Dorne at the moment is moving forward. Dorne is making a play vs. the Lannisters. But that threatens to spread the Lannister plot very thin. We already have the Lannisters dealing with the Faith... a faction that Dorne certainly doesn't fit into... so how will Dorne organically fit into what's happening in King's Landing at the moment... s*** that's my confusion, I was putting Ellaria/Arianne together in my head. -

QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Apr 25, 2016 -> 11:09 AM) "I am not blind, nor deaf. I know that you all believe me weak, frightened, feeble. Your father knew me better. Oberyn was ever the viper. Deadly, dangerous, unpredictable. No man dared tread on him. I was the grass. Pleasant, complaisant, sweet-smelling, swaying with every breeze. Who fears to walk upon the grass? But it is the grass that hides the viper from his enemies and shelters him until he strikes. Your father and I worked more closely than you know … but now he is gone. The question is, can I trust his daughters to serve me in his place?" - book Doran "I need to sit down, my feet hurt." - tv Doran Book Doran was one of my favorites, that quote right there is just pure poetry. -

QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Apr 25, 2016 -> 10:55 AM) It's been a while since I read it, but how did she go bonkers? I recall her being pretty reasonable while the Sand Snake daughters wanted revenge in various ways. Lilling Myrcella, performing a coup, killing Doran/Trystane, and wanting to lead Dorne to war are completely departures. She led all of that (if I'm remembering correctly), she only stopped doing it once Doran revealed his plan to her. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 25, 2016 -> 10:34 AM) The thing is the show has broken off from the books. I dont know if it would have happened in time in the books but they certainly made them snap and takeover in the show. She did go bonkers in the book, she just lost in her attempt though and ended up believing in Doran's plan. Considering they didn't get to that point in the show they clearly decided to cut all of that out, which isn't surprising since the whole Quentyn storyline was scrapped in the show. They essentially expedited the ousting of the Martells, now it'll be interesting to see where they do with this, there's still an opening for the Martells to support Dany/Targaryean conquers but there needs to be a bridge to that and Doran was it. -
Silicon Valley is off to a good start, the Belson speech had me rolling.

QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Apr 25, 2016 -> 10:08 AM) But they're not ending it. They're just making it really stupid. The TV Sand Snakes are f'in terrible. You're the first person I've ever heard say anything positive about the Sand Snakes or post-S4 Ellaria. Ellaria has become a complete contradiction of Oberyn. "We don't kill little girls in Dorne." LOL NM YEAH WE DO. And then she murders his brother and nephew too. Way to honor his memory, lady. Who's even supposed to be ruling Dorne now? Every Martell is either dead or was written out of the show. I guess we're supposed to believe Ellaria is in charge because reasons? Gimme a break. I agree on the badness of TV Dorne, but I don't agree with every statement you made. Oberyn's little girls statement was much more tongue in cheek than anything, you really think that Dorne of all places never had little girls killed in their massively violent history? Please. On top of that, Ellaria saw the love of her life's head smashed in, right in front of her. I could imagine that may change one's motives/actions pretty quickly. -

QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Apr 25, 2016 -> 09:47 AM) Debbie Downer. Why do you always have to be so negative? I thought it was great. Happy to be back in this world again. Agreed, and they actually did do quite a bit still for a first episode. -

QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 25, 2016 -> 09:43 AM) So - are we moving to a place where Dorn allies with Tyrell to battle the Lannisters? Anxious to hear what House Tyrell has been doing since they threw the Queen into jail. While that makes sense with where the two houses are right now, their history is wayyyy to violent to make that a real possibility. And Doran was the only one who may have allowed that, the Sand Snakes will hold a grudge just as hard against the Tyrells as the Lannisters. -
QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 24, 2016 -> 05:36 PM) That whole thing is your deck, Russ? Yup! 600sqft. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 24, 2016 -> 06:42 PM) Perfect timing. That looks awesome for a rooftop deck. Hope you're utilizing that grill tonight! Oh yea, made steak kabobs, delish QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 24, 2016 -> 07:19 PM) That is killer work on the deck! Thanks! It turned out better than I even thought it would.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Apr 23, 2016 -> 12:09 AM) Do you have an incredibly long commute every day? Or do you mean a parking spot at home? I live in a condo building so I have a parking spot in a large garage, but I don't have the ability to put an outlet/powersource there. While a Model 3 would easily handle the 50ish mile daily commute I currently have to work, I don't trust the electric vehicle recharging network enough yet without having an in-home charger. Hopefully in 4 years it's good enough that it doesn't matter (and maybe by then I have a garage spot with charging available), but for now it just would be too restricting as my only car. I love Teslas and really hope I can get one at some point, but it needs to make sense still.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 01:26 AM) If you haven't pre-ordered the Model 3 by now, it's going to be probably 2020 until you can get one. I refuse to pre order until I have a parking spot with access to an outlet, otherwise it would be pretty stupid to have an electric car. If that means I have to wait longer then so be it, I probably won't move until then anyways.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 09:27 PM) Ordered a 2017 Audi Q7 the other day. Should be here in 3-4 months. Test drove one last week and was sold. Some awesome tech in this vehicle. Can't wait! Audi's been killing it lately, love their lineup. Next car will be a Q3 if I don't get a Tesla Model 3.

When I bought my condo, the previous owners had astroturf out on the patio: I ripped it up about 3 months after moving in, after raining there would be a giant puddle for days. Turns out there is a drain in the middle of the patio (20x30ft so large patio) but they didn't cut away the astroturf around it so it just would not drain. They had used some glue tape to keep it down, so we started taking that off and it just ripped paint right off the concrete, so now I was left with concrete that needed a stripping of the paint. I found 2 options; sandblasting or grinding. Sandblasting wasn't really an option as it's an open deck connected to a neighbor's. Grinding was quoted at about $1400, plus I would have prime and paint it again. Did some research and decided to buy decking tiles made of composite wood. Ran me about $2500 including shipping but it added some great character to the patio. This is the first 3rd we did, my buddy helped finish it yesterday so I don't have a full pic yet (haven't been home with the sun out since), but here's a sneak peak:

Just got a free ticket/pre game meal from a work vendor for Tuesday's game, never been to a pro-hockey game in person so definitely pumped to see the atmosphere.

QUOTE (LDF @ Apr 14, 2016 -> 12:49 PM) ok, if you say so.... you are always right. The fact that you aren't even willing to list a FA and compare them statistically to Laroche is all anyone needs to see, you're arguing just to argue and have no ground to stand on here.

QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 13, 2016 -> 02:31 PM) That's what we're saying. There doesn't appear to be a good trade down partner. This is where it may help if one of the QBs drop, hopefully someone is targeting them and wants to move up to grab them. That's a lot of ifs though.

QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 13, 2016 -> 11:15 AM) If the act of filling out taxes is what annoys people, there is plenty of support to updating that system, and a very well-funded group aimed against preventing that. I also laugh at Cruz's plan for security reasons, and getting rid of the department that would monitor fraud is essentially a forger's dream.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 13, 2016 -> 11:11 AM) Anyone going to Draft Town this year? I heard it was pretty awesome last year, very interactive I went last year, it was a good time since the weather was great. They definitely had things to do but with the amount of people there the lines got pretty long to do anything. Definitely worthwhile to checkout, grab a beer, enjoy the lakefront and event.
