**SPOILER THREAD** GAME OF THRONES ** SPOILER THREAD **

QUOTE (bmags @ May 23, 2016 -> 09:15 AM) Wait is nights watch synonymous with white walkers too? Sorry misread it as night's king and not as night's watch. http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Last_hero http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Battle_for_the_Dawn In reference to the last Hero: Sounds a bit familiar. -

I may or may not have shed a tear or two at that. And f*** you Bran, could've not gone through all that s*** of you just had some patience. The children creating the nights watch is a heck of a twist, need to digest that. -
QUOTE (iamshack @ May 20, 2016 -> 03:41 PM) Not necessarily in the summer, but I am planning a little weekend in mid -Sept in Boyne Falls, MI. Hoping to get a big cabin for about 20 people and do some drinking, barbecuing, golfing, firepitting, etc. Anyone ever been up that way? That's quite a haul! I haven't been up there but lots of friends have gone and they all loved the Traverse City/Mackinac Island area.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 20, 2016 -> 12:52 PM) So, they're looking for a new James Bond. Here's a name I'd like to see considered for it: Chiwetel Ejiafor. I think he'd be a pretty good follow to the Daniel Craig type James Bond, not sure if he could pull off the super charm that some Bond's have but to me that isn't really a requirement after Craig's story.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 19, 2016 -> 07:46 PM) Nice. Just picked it up. Lost Stars was awesome. I just finished it last night, great book, really dove into the politics of the New Republic and how it crippled itself and allowed the First Order to come about.

QUOTE (greg775 @ May 19, 2016 -> 05:04 PM) I read his long reply and do appreciate it. Very well written and thought out, but it just screams "Hllary supporter" to me. I mean Elizabeth Warren was exposing something simple and important about Hillary. BTW I have resisted getting into the Christina Aguilara thing with Hillary out of respect to the woman's career. I'm not all evil even though I truly feel Hillary needs to just go away not be our most visible American the next 8 years for gosh sakes. Eight years! If you can't get past anyone supporting Hillary then just stop asking people to defend her. You see how stupid that is right? Greg: Say 3 things good about Hillary!!!! Poster: Ok, 1...2...3... Greg: That's just a Hillary's supporters non-sense!!! I mean come on man, just stop posting about her already and let everyone have some sanity back in their lives.

I applied to Loyola last year for their part time MBA program, it came down at the time between going for it then or buying a condo. I went with the condo, and after looking at more options I'm working on saving up for a cheaper program like UIC. It just isn't worth paying so much, especially what schools like NW want, for a part time MBA. UIC is actually really reasonable and I'd like to do their weekend program which seems like a better fit for my schedule.

Shack I'd call your local police department and confirm those were official police officers, seems way to shady.

QUOTE (Boogua @ May 18, 2016 -> 03:50 PM) Thorne granted his 6th year. The team should be pretty loaded if they're healthy, which I know is a big if. Finally some positive news. -
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 18, 2016 -> 09:31 AM) Ok i will clarify, i dont remember us closing a offseason thread that dealt with possible white sox targets. Unless it devolved to greg getting a sandwich I literally laughed at work, thanks.

Kendrick Nunn pleads guilty to battery. He'll get 18 mos. court supervision, 100 hours community service, write apology letter. IMO, he should be off the team. He may not have any jail time but guilty to battery is still guilty and we shouldn't EVER allow that. -
QUOTE (farmteam @ May 17, 2016 -> 09:55 PM) Yeah I like. Might have to check that out. I usually just wait until Men's Wearhouse has a sale. How many suits do you guys own/rotate through? I have 1 suit and 2 sport coats. Fortunately work is business casual so I don't have to wear one often.

Ford announced return of the Ranger in 2019, not really sure why they ever got rid of it.

QUOTE (dasox24 @ May 17, 2016 -> 10:57 AM) That's crazy. I don't fly out of Midway a ton (probably 10-12 times the the last 3 years), but I've never seen that line go into the open area where the escalators are, much less past it to the area you mentioned. I was just there a couple weeks ago and it maybe took me 5 minutes to get through security, though that was on a Sunday afternoon. I honestly wouldn't have believe it if I didn't see it, Midway is typically a breeze for me as well but it just kept going and going and people kept arriving. I was taking the Orange Line so had to walk past all of it, just ridiculous.
-
Not sure why O'hare and Midway both have had so many issues lately, I've witnessed the Midway issues firsthand (luckily I was leaving and not arriving) and it was UGLY. Line stretched back to the last divider between the Orange line/parking lot entrance/exit. I have no problem with the scans, I rarely ever have a need for a pat down. I have more of an issue with the fact that the lines are inefficient and are still allowing s*** to get through. TSA needs better policies, management, etc, I think it's pretty visible how bad some of the processes are. Especially in international travel, the whole re-entry crap with the automated kiosks that don't actually do crap to save time because you still have to go through all the checks with a human being... You just know they spent millions on these systems and were sold crazy efficiency/security and instead they didn't think through the process and got stuck with a product that just made everything worse.

My prediction: Monica gets the seat.

Bighead won't get the chair, it would be funny for about 5 minutes but then the story would get diluted way too quickly with bad material.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 16, 2016 -> 10:38 AM) They talked about it right before he killed her, about him flaying people. Im sure she didnt know the true extent of how sick he is, but she knew he did some bad stuff. And she thought she could sneak attack him, not really that surprising. -

QUOTE (Ezio Auditore @ May 16, 2016 -> 08:43 AM) Daenerys has been an insufferable twit for the past 2 seasons, mainly cuz she has a simplistic approach to everything which leaves a mess everywhere she goes (I had taken to calling her Daenerys W. Bush). Having Tyrion there, who actually knows something about ruling, was going to help before she was chased out of Meereen, but since he did that deal in her absence I'm sure she is gonna clash with him over her moral purity. That was part of her problem and I'm not sure she knew it. It was just good to see her being a BAMF again, though. I think they will clash a bit but I think she got the message that she f***ed up in Meereen though. She'll be open to new ideas and quite frankly she won't be there long. Anyone else get all giddy seeing the Greyjoy ships? Foreshadowing one can hope! -

QUOTE (bmags @ May 12, 2016 -> 03:25 PM) What about station wagons? Does Audi still make one? My dad had an A4 wagon back in the day, love that car, Quattro is some amazing tech. Otherwise I don't really see many wagons out there anymore, I'm sure Subaru has some crossover type wagons still.

Ok so this steamrolled a bit more than expected, and I probably didn't clarify enough. He wouldn't yell at umps, get in their face, swear, etc. He would just constantly be complaining about calls, not that that's great for kids to see but heck there's worse things and he would NEVER allow his kids to do the same. He wasn't near perfect, but it killed me that he got pushed out of coaching as he was the reason I not only kept up with baseball but made me appreciate and love the game.
-
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 12, 2016 -> 11:56 AM) Here is the problem..you as kids see him ripping on the umps and now you think that is an acceptable approach. It can snowball from there. I even think of my softball leagues where people would flip out at the umps and how I'd laugh (although I will admit, once or twice, only on total hosejobs, did I voice my displeasure with a loud "realllly" or "noooooo way" that was it. When it is the big leagues, I understand. And people will say, its okay, no it really isn't. In high school and college it isn't tolerated, like at all. Yes with the coaches to an extent, but certainly not with players. I see your point and it's quite valid, but just to point out I haven't ever really thought it was ok to rip on umps, in fact I was usually one of the more respectful players on the field to umps throughout my career. Only time I would get upset is if they were d-bags to me for no reason, which unfortunately happened more than preferred in my HS games. Like I said, he didn't swear or call the umps/coaches names, he would just bicker balls/strikes in games that weren't necessary, argue outs, etc. He was just intent on winning and backing his players 100% of the time, didn't matter if you were up 10-0 or in a tied game. I can see out the act got old and it's too bad he couldn't simmer it down because he's a HUGE reason why I fell in love with the game, and without his coaching/patience I don't think I would've stuck with it.
