  1. Nice that they are covering that but I'm sure it's been a pain working with them. I couldn't believe how much fences were to put up when a friend mentioned they were doing that.
  2. For sure! One of the hardest parts is A) coming up with the design B) trusting through the process that its going to be what you wanted. I am very much looking forward to not making a design decision for awhile lol.
  3. So I ended up hiring a contractor to help with the basement, it was up to 3 inches different in floor level in some places, so we jackhammered out some of the highest ends and poured new concrete and leveler. And with the bathroom floor being so much lower, decided to just rip everything out and start from scratch so we could start with a floor totally leveled with the rest of the basement. I've also started to redo my kitchen, painted the cabinets, got new appliances, put in a new backsplash, new countertops, and new flooring is coming in tomorrow. The house feels totally different now. https://imgur.com/gallery/1eOZw8M Old: New: Old: New: Old: New: Still have some pieces to be done, but most of the major pieces will be all done by end of the weekend hopefully.
  4. Man that came out of nowhere, he kept that so private. Fuck cancer and fuck 2020 already.
  5. So if we put the Soxtalk name on something, it would need to follow board rules. Moderating a chat like that is hell, so we're not looking to support this kind of model officially as affiliated with Soxtalk. That said, if someone wants to setup a discord server and invite Soxtalk members, especially during say game threads, we won't stop anyone from doing that. We just ask that advertising is kept to a minimum as we've had people go overboard with ads to their blogs, facebook pages, etc in the past.

    2020 Catch-All

They've actually been pretty reasonable up to this point, for a condo building it's pretty necessary. But yea you have to be careful with who/what you are signing up for.

    2020 Catch-All

So I'm selling my condo in Chicago, and the HOA is charging $500 for a disclosure form that is required by Illinois law. Apparently there have been lawsuits related to this as companies gouge people since you have no choice but to pay it if you want to sell. I've asked my HOA how they can justify charging as much as an attorney charges to do an entire house sale just to send a basic, digital document.
  8. So first of all, what data are you using to support the claim her businesses and philanthropy has done more than anyone in government? That is a wild claim. Second, you wouldn't call this a pandemic? What in the world? What is your definition of a pandemic and how does this not fit it?
  9. I’ve watched it twice since Friday, man it’s so good.
  10. Just buy a Ridgeline, you'll get plenty of hate from people.
  11. I went from driving small sedans/hatchbacks to a mid size SUV a few years back, it's been huge to have especially since buying a house to lug bigger purchases home in and such. I would love to get to a point where I have a cheap pickup truck for house projects and then a normal smaller car, but not at that point yet.
  12. He hit like .217 at SJU, looks to be a non-prospect.
  13. To me, the biggest statement those players could make is to not play for those coaches anymore. If the university refuses to make a change, then you need to make the change and unfortunately that is another price they have to pay to make a statement. But continuing to play for those coaches and letting them profit off of you is unacceptable in my opinion.
  14. Royals: Saul Garza, C/DH, Louisiana State | Link | Scouting Report (No. 379 on BA 500) Kale Emshoff, C, Arkansas-Little Rock | Link | Scouting Report (No. 174 on BA 500) John McMillon, RHP, Texas Tech | Scouting Report (No. 357 on BA 500) A.J. Block, LHP, Washington State (No. 20 on Baseball America's top undrafted seniors list) Tucker Bradley, OF, Georgia | Scouting Report (No. 317 on BA 500) Chase Wallace, RHP, Tennessee | Scouting Report (No. 440 on BA 500) That's like a 6th, 11th, 12th, 13th and 15th round pick, plus probably a top 10 round pick for a cheap senior signing. All for $120k. They had a game plan and they are executing it better than anyone right now.
  15. How does the UDFA pay work? I gotta imagine it's not totally open since you could essentially pay over slot then.
  16. I think you could have phrased that last part jusssst a bit better.
  17. I only read that just a few days ago...another WTF moment in this country's history.
  18. So here's an example of institutional racism, I never heard of the Tulsa or Rosewood incidents. I had no idea that a black community was building wealth in Tulsa in 1920. This was for sure not included in any of my history classes, which were at a fantastic school system. I'm ashamed I've never heard of these before today.

When you say you asked for more instruction, what does that entail specifically?

2 days man...look I can't begin to fathom what you are going through but there's obviously a change in approach or something needed here. I've seen some weird shit, I've had people disappear without a word, I've had people come in that were clearly different than from video interviews, etc, but I've never fired someone who didn't lie about credentials blatantly 2 days into a job. It would take something pretty big for that to occur, can you shed more light on your interactions with team members and the manager in that time period on what could have set that into motion?
  21. As someone who lives in Milwaukee, not shocked at all by it but still pretty upset that people think this is ok. Read an article the other day that after protests in Madison, there were 75 more cases reported from attendees alone. Just dumb.
  22. Some of those are not really dropped interceptions, they barely had any chance. But there are still plenty in there that are straight drops.

No, but I've seen it. Just know that you'll most likely burning at least one bridge by doing that. You've got to look out for yourself, so if you truly have a better opportunity then evaluate it against hurting your reputation with the original firm. Most likely, you'll be ok. But it depends on the industry, network, etc. For example, if you're in a niche consulting job, word probably spreads way too far to take that risk.
