They could use some help on the offensive line, so I am the only one that went with Brown. Go me

Valentin has had an OPS of over .900 in April 3 of the past 4 years(02 was the only year it was not...he started off horribly, with a .700 OPS in April), and his OPS in April of 2000 was .866. He almost always gets off to hot starts, cools way down in May, and gets hot as hell in June. This is nothing out of the ordinary, but any good props for Jose are fine by me. Go Jose!

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 8, 2005 -> 02:43 PM) What thread would that be? LOLZ
-
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 8, 2005 -> 02:41 PM) Carlos Lee swings at a bad pitch up and away and hits it to foul territory near 1st base where Derek Lee makes the catch. 2 outs. OMG CARLOS IS CHEATING AGAINST THE SOX BY MAKING THE CUBS THE BETTER TEAM! I will never stop making fun of that that thread

QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Apr 8, 2005 -> 11:35 AM) Prior is so overhyped. f*** him. I hope he never pitches well again. f*** Mark Prior and the Cubs! I prefer women.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 8, 2005 -> 12:36 PM) He threw...God is so overrated. Jay disagrees

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 7, 2005 -> 12:51 AM) If he goes past Minny at #7, the Cowboys will be in a good position to draft him, assuming Washington passes on him for a defensive player like a CB. Which is what I don't see happening.

What do you expect (Realistically) of El Duque?
witesoxfan replied to Butter Parque's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Apr 8, 2005 -> 11:09 AM) I expect nothing less than another quality start from a CSox pitcher: 5-6IP/2-3ER WTFizzle? I agree OMGWTFLOLZ :banghead ...except of course that 5 IP can never be considered a quality start. -
QUOTE(The Critic @ Apr 8, 2005 -> 11:00 AM) It's the Indians' fault for hitting those belt-high fastballs into the seats!!!!! We really need to move on. I haven't been on the past couple days, but damn does this post essentially hit it on the head. Lighten the hell up. If you really want to think about it, we should still be 2-1...we really did sort of win a game we had no buisness winning on Wednesday. OH NOS!1!!!!111!!!! WE LOSTED 1 GAME! If you are going to go putting blame around on everybody, why not put some on the offense too for not scoring more runs? Put some blame on Politte too because from what I remember, he let a run cross the plate when a GIDP would have ended the inning. Putting blame on others is ridiculous. So Shingo f'ed up once. We lost 1 game. It is still April, and there are still 6 months in the season. I know that is just a variation of the 'it's still early' excuse, but it is true. There is no need to even look at standings until like June, and even then it is really early.

Wilkerson hits for the cycle
witesoxfan replied to DonkeyKongerko's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 08:01 PM) Wilkerson is one of my favorite players in baseball. Very soon he is gonna asplode very soon might be this year or might be next year but it will happen. How good would he look hitting 3rd for us? DA-YUM!!! It would probably take quite a bit to get him, but he is so solid. I -
Michael Vick Hit With Sex Suit
witesoxfan replied to Goldmember's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 05:55 PM) I'm betting it was unintentional -- when Vick passes anything, how often is it caught by the intended receiver? I think I will bookmark this thread...it may get good...or we may have seen the best....I am never too good with things like this. -
QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 10:36 PM) All they have to do is feed him a steady diet of lame ass curveballs and he'll probably do just that. I was at the game against the Rangers when he K'd 4 times on that very same pitch. The last time he was up I screamed at him from about 100 feet away......... "Don't swing at the curveball!!!!" He K'd on the very next pitch........a curveball. Did you ever think that maybe he tried to do that to prove you wrong, errrr, right, errr................? I lost my train of thought

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 08:16 PM) I see us taking Williamson. I heard the Cowboys are looking for another WR(don't know why) so it will be him. Merriman will be 2 and either Rogers or Rolle will be 3rd. Assuming Williamson falls to 11, which I don't see.

The Vikings are on the clock, again

Missing out on a WR at 7, they take Clayton here. -
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 4, 2005 -> 08:28 AM) That can't be good for Wite's man Willie Bloomquist. Good chance for Wilson though, I hope he makes the best of it and shows something, could make Reese expendable. OH NOS!!!!!!!!!!!! Bloomquist = GOD

I think they are talking s*** about me, Jose didnt seem to friendly, I guess telling someone "nice outting last time pitch!" isnt a good idea after the pitch allows 9 ER in 4 IP. Note taken. ROFL

And the Mariners are good :banghead

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 09:27 PM) Agreed. I still don't understand why ESPN let David Aldridge go for Stephen A Smith. I think 406 gave you that answer...or maybe Stephen A could have given it to you. Maybe it is because he stirs up controversy? Or because people like to watch dumbasses? I would guess it is something like that. I too hate Stephen A Smith...cuz he's so cool of course.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 12:18 AM) Best player available on defense. They'll take James. I did the same but I think it is Spears. Spears seems to be a better bet to be healthy, and is still very good defensively.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 4, 2005 -> 10:17 PM) 200+ homeruns will not be enough for you this year? Guess not
-
QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Apr 3, 2005 -> 11:58 PM) Yah I'll ask again, what the hell is this? It just finds how many results are out there for two certain topics, and sees which one has more. The one that has more is the winner. Or so I figure.

Gotta be Davis. They need a safety and an OLB. How perfect is that?

I guess Vermont really is Syracuse's daddy
