While I agree with Thomas and Lee being on there(or in other words, I am disagreeing with White), I tend to agree with him on Konerko(or I am disagreeing with you about Konerko), though I do not agree with him fully. If you go by 2003 numbers alone(which is wrong and incorrect and inaccurate, because, generally, you should go by what players have done in their past 3 years, and even in some cases, that is also misleading; like for instance for a Frank Thomas who has suffered a serious injury within the past 3 years, it is inaccurate because you don't know how they'll do), Paul Konerko has worse numbers then Jose Valentin...off the top of my head, Paulie had numbers that were something like .235 18 65 .700 OPS(maybe his OPS was not even that high), and Jose was about .240 28 80 .750 along with hitting about .260-.270 against RHPs(which is him batting LH) while putting up some pretty damn good numbers late in the game while Konerko was the opposite. Basically, when you make the Valentin-Konerko argument going solely on the 2003 numbers, Jose beats Paul handily. And indeed, what a silly b****!

Can expect to play worse in 2004: Frank Thomas? Good luck with that ESPN. I'd rather read Posnanski. Atleast in his cluelessness, he is actually funny.

If UConn plays like a team and they shoot say 40% from the field, you could damn near cancel the Final Four and just give UConn the title. Then again, that's why they play the games. At this point in the season, all it takes is one poor shooting game and you are out. However, I am very much a believer that if there is a team that can flat out take over a game and just dominate the entire game in the final four, it is UConn. You saw it against Alabama where UConn didn't even have Okafor as a post-up prescence for about half the game, and they still humiliated Bama. And I still think Duke takes them out in the game between those two, and OKie State takes out Ga Tech, with OKie State winning the whole thing.

Just as a publicity stunt, we should trade Schoenweis for a position player and put the position player in the rotation, just to see how it works out. And seriously, just leave him. If he sucks, moves will be made to help make our rotation not suck.
