Let's go out and score 6 runs out of the box to get him off to a good start....and then give him 10 more in insurance. A 16-9 win would be fine by me.

No s***? You and I will probably be talking a little bit this year. Those are my two teams as well.....and, for what it's worth, I think Minnesota's gonna win the division this year.

College football this weekend

Don't know who SJSU is playing....I just hope they don't lose 65-3 again! -
Packers(I hate them mainly for what happened last year when Minnesota played them in Lambeau.....worst.refereeing.ever), Jets(f*** their 1-5 start to a 9-7 finish....I loved seeing them get their asses handed to them in the playoffs last year), Patriots(goddamn assclowns killed Buffalo twice last year....not happening this year), Cowboys(same reason I hate the Yankees), 49ers(see Cowboys), Dolphins(no team with a QB that came out of Dartmouth and got cut by the Bengals should even be in the league ), Titans(that f***ing Music City Miracle was so not a f***ing backward pass.....biggest blown call ever.... :fyou referees), Rams(se 49ers, Cowboys), and I think that's about it. GO BILLS!

84....I lied a little though. I assumed I would, at the very least, finsih high school.

That was the first series of the year....this one is the last. They may not be as nice, but let's hope they are.
-
Sorry Bmr, I gotta disagree with you here. 7-0 would be very nice, but I don't think it's necessary. Very possible that we could be up 4 on the Twins at the end of the series with them here, and 2 or 3 on the Royals. We could be up on the Twinks by 5 or so by the end of next week and still up some on the Royals as well. 7-0 isn't a must, but it would be very, very nice.
-
You mean this one? :fyou
-
Ouch, did they make it out OK?
-
Problem is after Miller and Oswalt, their starters suck. Robertson is pretty good....I think he's like 12-7 this year. Not bad....and then Jared Fernandez is OK. I still like the Astros winning the division though. The Cubs pen isn't quite as bad as the Cards, but it ain't no beauty of a pen either.

My only reason to believe this team can win it all is because they have a s***load of talent. Without all the talent, this team would be in last place. This team is not the Minnesota Twins or the Kansas City Royals. If they played like those two teams with the talent they had, we could be talking about two records being broken this year....the all-time loss record(we still are)....and the all time White Sox win record. It's been proven to me on several occassions that Manuel will not lead this team to the promised land. I like some of his long term decisions(for example, not starting Mark in New York does set up a rotation of Buehrle, Colon, Loaiza, and Garland, not necessarily in that order, for the Twinkie series), but the small things are what kill him. He can't manage a bullpen to save his life, and using all the scrubs in one game(like having Daubach, Rowand, Harris, and Graffanino starting in one game) is what kills him. You do it slowly and you ride the hot bats. I got hope because this team is so talented....but that's about the only hope I have. I have a lot of confidence as far as us getting to the playoffs. I think we have a very good chance of winning the division mainly because we play the Twinks and Royals so much down the stretch, and we've had very success against them.
-
Alright, just let me say this. The more I got to thinking about it, the more I thought Manuel could actually take part of the blame(seriously). What I'm wondering is why would you put Harris, your fastest player, in the OF when you have a guy in Rowand who is just as good as Harris defensively in CF(with a little less range obviously), but a stronger arm, and then still have Harris's speed on the bench. I figured that I would have sent Harris in that situation, simply because he is a much better runner then anyone on the team and his speed does that for him all by itself, not to mention the fact that he is probably a little more nimble and could make a slide where he just does sneak his hand in there. That game was very winnable, and was not won. That is my only fear come playoff time(assuming we make it, and that is a very big assumption), is that Manuel will make some seemingly small decision like that and it will come back and bite us in the ass.

No team is doing any driving, nor has any team done any driving all year long. The last time the Twins were in the drivers seat was last year. There is still plenty of time left, and because of that, there is plenty of time for a lot of s*** to happen. Just because the Twins have a weak schedule doesn't mean they are in the drivers seat. Have you checked their starting rotation lately? IIRC, it is Radke, Santana, Lohse, Rogers, and Balfour. One helluva rotation, huh? Their bullpen ain't much better then ours. This division is still up for grabs, and I still think the Sox are gonna win it.

Damn, I should have wrote "So that's where my gerbil went!"

Here's my thing. I could care less if a model is smart or not....as long as she is fine, she is, well, fine. However, the kind of girl I want is a girl with a head on her shoulders. I do not want the valley girl, airhead type, who says "like" every other word. I want the girl who is confident and pretty, but also has a good sense of humor. Too bad there aren't enough women on the planet like that.

Happy B-Day you two. And CubsSuck, if you don't post on this thread, so I can see that ass, there'll be hell to pay.
-
Damn, I got everyone's ass kicked. I'm sure I'm the only one here who starts school at 8:30 in the morning, ends at 2:30, and has open lunch as well. Unless someone proves me wrong, that is.

Bulls***. Kimm did not make the right call. Even if Rowand had a shot at making it, you still don't send him. You then have runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. One flyball wins the game. We didn't execute earlier, but who says we won't execute in the 9th? If we don't, then the players suck, not the managers or coaches. Oh give me a break. Have you not seen Manny Ramirez play left field? I could play left field better than Manny for crying out loud. You cannot blame Kimm for this loss, he did the right thing. I saw Manny Ramirez play LF tonight....he is quite possibly the biggest piece of s*** out there. He's worse then Carlos Lee prior to this year. I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about the fact that you don't try to be over-agressive in a situation like that. You play it as safe as you can. What Kimm did was stupid. Eh, I would have ran Rowand, but that's just me. To me, I'd rather take my chances with Manny Ramirez fielding than Willie Harris batting. I guess we'll just agree to disagree then. Because if we hold Rowand, we can then send Willie up to the plate. We then see if they want to walk Willie to get to Konerko to try to set up the DP, and if they don't, we have Harris step out of the box, and take him out and put Rios in(and he can hit a flyball better then anyone on the team I think...don't know how many times I've seen him do that). They walk Rios, we have a hot Paul Konerko up. To me, holding Rowand was win-win.

Once you get to the postseason, anything can happen. It is the team that gets hot at the right time, and not the team that is stacked up best against every other team, that usually wins. We have one of the better 1-2-3 combos in the AL, and an offense that can explode on the competition at any time, as well as a bullpen that is starting to come around. You are going to tell me that this would have no chance in the playoffs? I don't think so. Someone apparently forgot to tell the Angels and Giants that last year.

You'll win some big ones and you'll lose some big ones. This one was one that should have been won but was not. However, I disagree with your title. This game was depressing. This team is not. I still think this team will be playing baseball next month.

I just learned that earlier this year. So you're probably right that 90% of people don't know that. I'd say it is atleast 90%....maybe more.
