And, in all reality, those are the only two people I want to see back on the White Sox next year who aren't already under contract.....on offense. Who in the HELL gave this team the idea that you could hit a 2-run homer leading off the inning, or that you could hit a 5-run homer, or that you can hit a homer every time up?

You mean like that 11-8 game in the World Series last year, or that 16-4 game last year? This not mentioning the 15-14 game in the 93 Series(I think it was 15-14, wasn't it?).

This division should have been wrapped a very long time ago. This team is a disappointment. I think today was one of the worst days of my life as a White Sox fan. Seeing my team end a season like they did....breaks my heart. IMO, the finger needs to be pointed in one direction and in one direction only. So JM....here's your goddamn finger :fyou

If I had to rank that stadium on a scale of 1-10, I would rank it a 2. Maybe it has changed since I was there the last time(which was 2000), but from what I remember, the only foods you get are very, very, very generic foods....pizza, pretzels, hot dogs....nothing fancy. I've heard nothing about good things about USCF, minus the attacks(i hate the Ligue's and I f***ing hate Cubs fans).

Does that mean MN will nail the coffin shut tomorrow night? It's a possibility. I personally don't think so....that will happen while we're hosting the Yankees in a week and the Twinkies back in like we did in 2000. Bart wants his money next year. He'll step it up and will probably throw a CG, get the W.....hell, he'll probably throw a shutout, and we'll win something like 11-0. You know, score all our runs in one game like we did so many times last year(I still remember the series where I think we lost 2 games to 1 the Expos....lost game 1 2-1, lost game 2 3-2, and won game 3 12-1 or something like that). Then, while Detroit and Minnesota play a game where one team gets their ass kicked(I don't think I need to spare any details), we'll win the series against KC 2-1, we'll beat the Yanks 2-1, and then we'll split the last series with KC(I may have those KC games in the wrong order....my bad if I do). Won't matter that we go 6-4 in our last 10 games....cuz I figure Minny will go atleast 7-2, and most likely 8-1, with that 1 loss coming to Cleveland in Minnesota. But, if we do lose tomorrow, you may as well call up the 40-man and see what we'll have to deal with next year. Let me say this.....it is not IMPOSSIBLE to climb out of this hole. Stranger things have happened before. It is just very, very, very, very unlikely it will happen. We'll probably need to go 9-1 in our last 10 and then hope the Twins lose 2 games....cuz we won't win a playoff game in Minny, and even if we do, it won't matter, cuz we'd then go into the playoffs a little fatigued. So like I said....if we want any shot at all, we have to win 10 out of our last 11 games. The odds for the Bears winning the Superbowl are better then the White Sox winning 10 of their last 11. As my "favorite" fans always say...."Wait till next year..."

I still had faith because we had so many games left with the Twinks. That doesn't matter anymore. You wanna know how I know this team is out? The way I saw this team play the last two nights....it was sad. I think those were the two most disappointing games I have ever seen in my life. In fact, I would venture to guess that that game tonight was the most disappointing game all of us have seen in several years....tonight's game was even more disappointing then getting swept by the Mariners in 2000. It really hurts hard when a team has such a great chance to go to the playoffs and doesn't. Last night, we got the wind knocked out of us, and we were out. And tonight, we got the kick in the gut that knocked us backwards into our coffin. The Twins aren't in the driver's seat. They are in the f***ing parking lot waiting for us to get there.

Dude, I'm in the same boat as you are. This whole overall process in my moving to ND has been a b****, but the thing that pissed me off the most was the fact that I had to take my written test over again.....and of course me being the "smart kid" that I am, I figure the test will be very similar to the South Dakota one. I was already pissed enough that I had to take a test that I had already passed once before, and then I get more pissed when the question "What is the max speed you can go before you need to hook chains onto your vehicle is if you are carrying a trailer?" Thing that pisses me off most about those questions is that they'll give you 3 answers, 1 over that limit, the right answer, and then 1 under the limit. Do the people at the DMV not realize that if I select the answer for the limit under that I am not breaking the law? I think that's what they are teaching me about here is not to break the law. I understand that going under the speed limit would piss some people off, but I'm not breaking the law in doing so. And then the fact that I'll never need to use a trailer in the first place... That was like the 3rd questoin into the test, and it pretty much set the tone for the entire test. Then, when I'm so pissed, the lady at the counter says "Did you skip the ones you didn't know?" I was about ready to say "It wouldn't have made a difference you dumbass because I would have gotten them wrong afterwards anyways." God I hate stupid people.....and yes, I do realize that means I hate myself sometimes.

This season is OVER. You can give me that magic number, mumbo jumbo, still 12 games left bulls***....but right now, with the way I saw this team play tonight.....it was really disappointing. To get your ass shut down by a guy you should hit the s*** out of really is saddening. Congratu-f***ing-lations Minnesota on winning the worst division in the majors and on getting your asses handed to you in the postseason :fyou (which I already know is going to happen....having little starting pitching is going to put them in a lot of trouble, and then having no offense to compliment that little starting is going to hurt their chances even more). I personally hope they keep this team together while getting rid of a few. Plain and simple, this team needs to know how to get base hits and then drive those runs in. Hasn't anyone told them that you CAN drive in runs WITHOUT hitting home runs, prior to their original believing? Maybe they all have short memories and can't remember all the way back to...(gasp).....2000? f*** this s***....atleast the Bills are good this year. I'm glad I'm not a Bears, Bulls, or Blackhawks fan right now.

Apparently you haven't seen any of the hits he has delivered, or if you have seen them, you don't remember them. The guys he hit proabably don't remember them either. I'm not sure you could find an offensive player that hits harder then Shockey.

Both brought up good points....but they were points any person with a brain already new about. Twins have an easy schedule, White Sox have the better starting pitching....well thank you Captain Obvious #1 and #2.

Me personally, I don't think our season is over is we take 2 of 3 from Minny. Remember, they still have to get back in first place after that. (wouldn't be hard, but they would still have to do it) However, we lose the series, or are swept, and we are done, period. We can't climb up hill from here on out. What we have to do is pass Minnesota and stay in front of them for the rest of the year. What people don't realize is that even though the Indians and Tigers both suck big time, they can still play spoiler(or atleast Cleveland can). I believe about a week ago Tampa won 2 of 3 from Oakland. To me, that shows that Oakland did not go into that series with the right attitude and they got their asses kicked. Now the Tigers don't have as much fight left in them as the DRays do, but I personally think the Indians do. I'll just say ahead of time, don't be surprised if the Indians take 2 of 3 from Minny in the Homer Dome. I didn't say you should count on it though either.
