The next game we have to screw around will be played in 2004. There will be no more screwing around with anything as far as baseball is concerned. If I see a lineup filled with more then 2 of Rowand, Miles, Harris, Daubach, and Rios, I'm gonna flip.

Again, anybody could come up with those trades. Are you going to tell me that any person who knows baseball couldn't do that kind of deal? I know for certain I could have gotten us Alomar and Everett....it's a matter of putting the right numbers on the table and having everything agree. The one time everything didn't agree was when Scott Williamson went to the Red Sox....shortly thereafter, we got Sullivan. The only trade I will ever give him credit for is Colon, and I'm almost certain Selig had a hand in getting us Colon as well. Selig and Cashman most likely.

You're telling me that shouldergate was good for baseball? And that KW getting the reputation of being a dirty dealer was good for us? The fact that the trade was not overturned was a miracle....I'm sure if JR and Selig weren't such good friends, that that deal actually is overturned.

Gordon does not count....nor does ELo. Signing FA's is so f***ing easy a 1st grader could do it. He's not thinking about all....he just says "Here's some money for you, all you have to do is sign on the line and that money is yours." How hard is that? I give NO ONE credit for Gordon and Elo being successful. Just like I don't give a s*** that KW signed Gil Heredia, Jose Paniagua, Alan Embree, Bill Pulsipher, etc, etc, etc. So odd that you mention the few that have worked out and do not mention those that have not and have actually made him look stupid. As far as Marte is concerned, we were lucky. The fact that Marte went from being s*** to being the best LH reliever in the game in 2 years is, what most people call, a fluke. Robbie and Everett...again, I give him no credit for. Those are moves someone with as much knowledge about the game as say, oh, me, could make those deals. You just contact teams that are out of the races about a veteran hitter on their team who is a FA after this year, say we'll give you 3 prospects(or in Texas's case, we'll give you a list of 8 and you pick 3), and then have them pay for all but the $150,000 or so that you must pay to have them on your team. How hard could that be? The fact that he kept Robbie from KC was a very good move. So the only move out of those I give him credit for is Colon, and once again, you for some odd reason leave Wells, Ritchie, and Koch out of the conversation....I'm not sure why. Point blank....KW has gotten f***ed over big time on 3 different occassions.....and they all have killed us in the long run.

Jones I could handle and would like having on the team. Great attitude, great defense, great speed, good from the left side....only negative I can think of off the top of my head is that he is, essentially, Jose Valentin at the plate with a better average. You throw 3 consecutive good breaking balls at him, low, and you will strike him out a lot of the time. He's still good though.

A step faster then Ichiro? I'd have to see it to believe it. However, it does sound like this guy is a stud. I could see him putting up .275 20 70 20 type numbers with a very good glove. Thing is, he'd cost a ton of frickin money. Are we willing to dish it out?
