3 is retired, correct?
-
I agree, Harris was up next But why did JM let Harris bat? Who would have played CF if we pinchhit for Harris and tied the game? That is why we didn't PH for Willie could Rowand have stayed in the game and played cf if anyone pich hit for Harris? Not sure, just asking. He could have, but he would have been brought out of the DH spot, which means the DH would be taken out of eligibility to use in the lineup. In other words, we take Rowand from DH to CF, we're seeing Tom Gordon or Scott Schoenweis batting.

Now tied for first....I don't know why I'm startin

So if that's the case, why was Wallace Johnson fired? I think he was the most agressive 3rd base coach I have seen in quite a long time. -
well, it worked for the twins today! Yeah, I know, that's why I said it!

That is why we didn't PH for Willie However, if there is 1 out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, a risk you take is sending Rios up there and hoping he can hit a flyball medium deep. He doesn't do that, you still have a scorching hot Konerko coming up, and he could have gotten a basehit very easily. What Kimm did was very, very dumb.

You're excactly right. Some people only b****, and Roman is one of those who I can no longer stand. It's getting to me as well. The fact that some of these people don't realize that we do have 14 games left with the Twins and Royals bugs me. That could be a positive or negative, and the way the Sox have played against those two this year, I think it will be a positive instead of a negative.
-
I agree, Harris was up next And if Harris strikes out like he did in his at bat, we have Paul Konerko up next. Konerko has been nothing short of scorching over the past week or two. And no one is ruleing out us sending up Rios to try to get a little air under it either....he can play a little CF as well. I have no problem being agressive.....I have a big problem with Kimm sending a guy and hoping he breaks the catcher's arm by running into him.

Agreed wholeheartedly. Kimm can take a lot of blame for this loss, or for atleast sending Aaron Rowand in the 9th. Worst idea ever. The fact that Maggs GIDP with the bases loaded, Lee popping up with runners on 2nd and 3rd, and that Everett popped out with the bases loaded didn't help, but Kimm....that was not fun. And yes, f*** David Ortiz. That fat f*** should lose some weight. And I hate Kevin Millar. I think he is the closest looking to a redneck in the majors. I wonder if his working TV is on top of his non-working TV. -
Not sure if you noticed, but the first place Cards/Astros are about as good record wise as the White Sox. Both divisions are equally s***ty, and I don't appreciate the Sox being called losers. They haven't lost anything yet, aside from a few games(like every other team on the face of the planet)

That was a Wavin' Wally call right there :fyou Kimm

Dammit, you are right. This game should have been a win. We need to win tomorrow, period.
-
I agree with that. This is a major downer. We need to do what the Royals have done all year, and that is come back and kick the s*** out of them tomorrow after a tough loss. I can't remember how many times they've done that this year.
-
Man, Kip is really good. Too bad no one except a select few realize it.
-
Maybe, maybe not. You never know. That's the beautiful thing about baseball.
-
And so what if he is? We will resign one of Lee and Everett, and we have Reed sneaking up on the big league club, this not mentioning Nanita, Anderson, and Sweeney, this years draftees. I'd love to have an OF of Lee, Reed, and Maggs for 4 years, or an outfield similar to that.
-
I'll just forget you mentioned the terrible fielding SS. Jose has been anything but terrible defensively this year.
-
Sounds fine to me. And if Frank doesn't get $6 mill, we'll probably be able to get Robby back quite cheaply too, as well as Jose. We could realistically keep this team together and then add a piece or two as well in the offseason.
-
I've said it before, and I'll say it again.....the team that wins this division will be the team that comes out and flat dominates in the head-to-head games against the other two contending teams in the division(because I believe one team will). With the Twins and Royals pretty much splitting their last 7 games, I think it shows that it truely is our division to lose.
-
That'd be very nice
-
If Frank wants out, he can get out. Personally, I don't think he wants out. I think he may even exercise his own option of $6 mill. Had we lost him and if we lose him, it could end up being one of the biggest mistakes we make.
-
I don't. I think this team has the talent to be the best in the league, and they are just finally starting to gel. We got a good karma going on right now, and I dont wanna mess around with it.

LF in Fenway may not be easy.....but are you gonna tell me that playing LF(I dont care where you are) is a less demanding position then SS? Or is there some reason ARod has played every game(I think....I know he did last year) and he is doing this with a bone spur in his neck. Point blank, ARod is far from a pig, and when you compare everything, Manny, IMO, is a pig compared to ARod. I said LF in Fenway is not easy. Never did I say it was harder than SS. Neither of them are f***ing pigs. That's true.

Twins announcers as bad as Cubs announcers? I don't think so. If I'm thinking right, that'd John Gordon and Dan Gladden. They're not bad to tell you the truth. Not as bad as Cub announcers anyways. Speaking of John Gordon....did anyone see Mark Teixeria's homer yesterday? Apparently when he hit it, Gordon just said "Wow, where did that one land?"
