Damn, too bad Shockey ain't kicking off. Atleast he wouldn't have kicked the ball out of bounds twice.

WELL let me just say one thing ya right about 1 thing we're goin need a hell of a lot of luck, but I think any win the Dolphins get it involves luck The Bills slaughtering of the Patriots....no luck involved. Their crushing of the Jaguars...no luck involved. Just a warning....this game will be, at the very least, a very close game, and that's if the defense has a bad day.

I'd rahter get Matsui from Japan....I think his name is Kazuo Matsui. All I heard about him is that he is incredibly good. Also....thanks for the compliment on the sig.

The Twins commentators piss me off with their arrogance time and time again. For starters, last week when we were playing the Twins, Bert Blyleven said something to the extent of "If KC is watching this game, and they want to control their own destiny, they are cheering for the Twins." I was about ready to smack his stupidass up. If KC wanted to control their own destiny, they would be cheering for the White Sox, who they play again, and not the Twins, who they don't play again. The other thing that pissed me off was tonight when they mentioned that Bart had won the AL POTW. Dick Bremer said something to the extent of "Well if you can get POTW by throwing 2 straight CG's, then Bert, how many times would you have won POTW?" and of course Bert came back with some stupidass thing....something like "Oh, CG's happened a lot back then" or some stupid s*** like that. What pissed me off the most was the fact that they were totally oblivious to the fact that Bart stepped up and pitched incredibly huge games 3 straight times out(2 of which were wins, and 1 of which was a 2-hitter that could have been a no-hitter had he been facing another team). Anyways, congrats Bart....you most definately earned it.

No doubt. We need about 3 more from ELo.

The thing I will most remember about Gary Glover and his starting days was last year against Atlanta. Started and had 3 perfect, beautiful innings. Next inning he gave up around 7 runs to a struggling Atlanta offense. Gary was great the first time around a lineup, making him a very good bullpen pitcher when used enough. When the lineup sees him a second time around, they light his ass up big time.

KW made more bad trades to make you forget about it. I mean, Todd Ritchie for cripes sake? I think that'll cover anything anyone remembered about Berry-Barry.

Had we won all 3 of Elo's 1-0 losses.....f***ing scary where we'd be. But if's and but's are candies and nuts. Just gotta go out and take care of buisness tomorrow and Wednesday and Thursday, and then win 10 more in a row. We'll win the division for sure then!

Shhh.... Some people might think that is a jinx.

Easier said than done. Those 2 are responsible for 14.375 mil next year, and have been probably the least productive in most Sox fans minds this year, so of course they are the first that most people wanna get rid of. Other GMs know the same things that we do, and know that Konerko at 8 mil for this years production, and Koch at 6.375 mil for this years production aren't worth taking a shot on. They are with us in 2004, good or bad. Me, personally, I think a team would take a risk on either one of them. We ask for very little in return, and I think we could make the trades. We get another Daylon Holt or a Berry-Barry situation comes up, or someone like that, it's worth it. Maybe take on some of their salaries as well.

Let's hope that the Twinkies scored all their runs tonight and they score 1, 2, and 1 runs respectively in the next 3 games. Then let's hope that if they do that the Sox can top those totals.
-
I think we need to get rid of Paulie and Koch. I think if we get rid of those two we are good to go and can actually spend some money to keep this team together. Getting deep into the playoffs(ie getting to atleast the ALCS) would help.

What, you mean Carlos faking a bunt in the first inning against Boston and then homering on the next pitch doesn't count?

Atleast the f***ing Packers aren't in first....let us celebrate that. And then let's hope the mediocre Vikings beat the mediocre Packers and win the division. God I hate the f***ing Packers. I think I was the happiest guy on the face of the earth when they got their asses kicked by the Vikings in week one. And hearing the Packers radio guys hope and pray for a miracle....oh man it was just as funny as Chimp calling Geoff Jenkins's 3-run homer in Prior's 16 K game.

You will after Sunday. -
I wish my winters would be like yours up here in NoDak. We're already trying to get below 40 here. Got down to 43 this morning. Damn cold weather. Probably have goddamn snow in 2 or 3 weeks.

Oh yeah, SJSU is gonna hopefully beat Nevada and be 2-2 after Thursday.

My Bills(yes that's right, my Bills) are going to f***ing roll the Dolphins up, just like they did TWICE last year. The Bills are, what most people would call, clicking right now. Bledsoe is being Bledsoe, the line has been great, and the defense has been unpenetrable. For example, they shutout the New England Patriots and made Tom Brady have a game to forget, beating them 31-0. What's New England then do but go out and kill the Eagles like 31-10. The Dolphins lost to the Texans....case closed. The Dolphins have one good receiver in Chris Chambers(and even's he's not all that great), which will be beneficial to the Bills because they'll be able to send more guys to the front to stop Williams....so I predict that Williams will rush for fewer then 75 yards. And because the Bills's secondary is probably one of the better secondary's in the league(Clements, Winfield, Milloy and (the only weakness)Reese/Prioleau/Wire...undeniably good), so they'll be able to blitz all day long. Because of this, the Bills offense will wear down an overrated Dolphins defense and just flat out dominate. In other words, I like the Bills chances a little more then I like the Dolphins chances. Good luck....you'll need a whole hell of a lot of it.

Maybe you should clarify that for young-in's in here who forgot about that game last year. Butter gave up 3 homers to Mike Cameron IN ONE GAME. Ouch

lol yeah we all thought they were in our favor in 2000 and in 83 and in 59 ...ect.ect.ect.... we know how this story ends...... isnt it about time for a new ending????? I hope so

What has Robbie done for the Sox? He's only rejuvenated this dead lineup. This team would have done what they'd done the past 2 years if not for Robbie. Without him, we are probably in 3rd place. What he had this team remember is that even on your bad nights you can win ballgames, and on good nights, you should win 80% of you games. IMO, we have had more bad nights then good nights as far as the overall aspect of the game is concerned....but one thing has stepped up in each game, whether it be the starters(which it has been I'd say 50-60% of the time), or whether it be the offense or defense. I think Robbie has had a lot to do with this team's sudden surge, and he is one of the reasons why I love this team's chances in October(assuming they get there) He won't get a 2-year, $10 mill deal...but I sure hope that if he will take a 2-year $6-$7 mill, I sure hope the Sox resign him.

Just thought I'd get this out there. As a point of interest, had the Twins lost tonight, and we then (hypothetically) swept them, we would have been 3.5 up with 10 games(9 for them) left. Say we then win our 1st of those 10 games....we are 4 up. We could have gone 5-4 and still tied for the division title, and just the opposite is true. If there is a sweep in this series, the team that is swept can pretty much kiss their season goodbye.

I think I heard someone mention something like the White Sox lost 2 of 3 to a s***ty Washington team back in '67....or is that just me making things up off the top of my head? Anyways, you're probably right, we shouldn't expect to see the Tigers put up a fight against the Twinkies....doesn't mean it won't happen now though does it? We just gotta go out there and take care of buisness. I got an idea, how about we just win 13 in a row from here on out?

The Cubs would get killed if they got to the postseason. I don't give a s*** about their starting rotation...they have 2 really good starters, and that's it, and, correct me if I'm wrong here, but hasn't only like 1 team won the whole thing pretty much riding on 2 starters(those two being RJ and Schilling), and even then they got good starts from Miguel Batista and Brian Anderson. I just don't see how the Cubs could do it. The Sox, on the other hand, I think have a good chance. They have a very good rotation, a very good, very explosive lineup, a much improved bullpen over the course of the season(adding Sullivan was huge IMO....Wunsch, Marte, Gordon, Sullivan, and to an extent, Wright and Schoenweis, as both could be good, but both could get their asses lit up), and good team defense. The only two things holding them back are JM and as one GM said, can they keep it together? I just am not sure if they could.
