  1. You're not funny. I said I wouldn't mind picking up Mora if we could get him cheaply. Obviously, you don't know what cheaply means.
  2. I didn't say you were the same(on this thread). I'm not even making that assumption. I just asked how he was doing(because I haven't been on in a day and a half). And jackass is just as much a personal attack is dumbf*** or idiot or moron or cocksucker is. And using two browsers isn't crazy computer s***. It's common sense. And bighurt....for what it's worth....thanks. And BE GOOD.
  3. Our minor league future? The only guy that was ever going to amount to anything really big was Royce Ring....and the only shot Almonte has is to be like Brendan Donelly. Salvo, if I understand correctly, is a backup infielder in A ball. Pathetic defense at SS? I think SS has actually been one of our better defensive positions. And CF has not been that big of a deal, IMO. Harris can play CF. Paul is no longer on the roster. The DH's and the 1Bmen are the same ones....so you can drop one of those two arguments. Also, Daubach can play a little OF, if necessary. This is a VERY good trade for us. We get a 2Bman who hits well, has good speed, good defense and also helps get rid of the dead weight that is D'Angelo Jimenez at 2B. We gave up very little, and WE pay Alomar nothing.
  4. You could also being using two internet browsers. For instance, you could be using Internet Explorer under one name, and Netscape Communicator with the other. Simple enough. I've done that in a fantasy draft where I had to draft for two teams. And no personal attacks? How about calling me a "jackass"? Also, if you are going to joke around like that, most people use smilies.

    Hey all

Did you have to go feel some boobs or something? Don't worry....we're not being negative. And welcome back!
  6. I just asked how he was doing, I didn't say you were the same person(on this thread). And regardless.....I could make up a name and be on two seperate names at once too....ever heard of using two computers or using two different internet browsers? It's not that hard to figure out. And regarding your personal attacks....maybe Mommy needs to change your diaper?
  7. How much cash are we getting here? $20 mill, $30 mill? It better be atleast that much, because Sierra is way over the hill, Weaver might never be the same pitcher he was in Detroit, and to give up 3 f***ing studs for these pieces of s***? No f***ing way. We'd also be getting Alfonso Soriano and maybe Juan Rivera, right?
  8. Let's see.....you're here for 10 days and you're telling me, a person who's been here for several months, to leave? HA! BTW, how's mike12345 doing?
  9. I'm gone for a day and a half, and we f***ing slaughter the Twinkies(and I see that Valentin got robbed AGAIN....hey Jose, hit the ball a little farther when you do that), and then we trade for Roberto Alomar. Maybe I should leave for a day and a half again.

    I'm back

Apparently, poetry or rapping is not your thing
  11. I hate to pull a wsc here, but roman, why are you being such a negative b****? If it's not ELo, it's Buehrle, and if it's not Buehrle, it's Rowand. Maybe you'll start ripping Colon or Garland next, maybe Wright, maybe it's Maggs, Dauber, Lee, Olivo, Valentin, Jimenez, Alomar, Graffanino, Rios, Harris, Crede, Konerko, or hell, maybe even Man Soo Lee....you'll rip anyone but Frank Thomas. Take off the rose-colored glasses....Frank Thomas is not Jesus Christ. Be happy about the fact that we've won 6 of our last 9 and that Rowand is getting hot
  12. The way I see it, Radke, Mays, and Reed can't possibly pitch as bad as they have all year long. They can only get better. However, those 3 can hardly throw the ball harder then Kelly Wunsch, so we'll see. White is starting to pitch better, and Glover just flat out needs to go. You can't have a bullpen composed of 3 or 4 guys....you need all 6 guys to be very good. Once Wunsch comes back, that will be 5, but he gives us s*** for innings. We need either another starter or another reliever....Wright could potentially be moved to the pen as long as we get a solid starter to fill the rotation. Or we could just do it the easy way and get another reliever. Either way, we get a stronger pen. Glover's stuff just isn't there.
  13. Maybe he just wanted to pull a Jack McKeon?
  14. And what's your point? He's pitching great for us this year, and right now, that's all I care about. What's done is done, and there's nothing you can do about it. What hasn't happened is something you can control. He's a good pitcher who I think has actually figured it out. I don't think he's going to be a sub-3.00 ERA pitcher his whole career, but I definately think he can keep it under 3.00 this year, and I definately think he can be a good starter for another 5 years or so.
  15. He battled his way through 7 innings. Who gives a flying f***? He got outpitched by a better pitcher today....no big deal. No one had good stuff this whole series as far as Sox pitchers go(except Flash in game 1). The fact that we won 2 of 3 is incredible, and the idea that we actually had a shot to sweep is flat out mind-boggling. We had 2 chances to cut the Cubbies lead today late in the game, and we nearly did(Jose just missing a shot). We are starting to play much better and are starting to show life late in games. If the bullpen can hold up, or if we can add some good arms to the pen(someone to replace Glover would be nice), we got a real good shot at this thing. The Twins are doing what we were doing early in the year(if it isn't their starting, it's their bullpen, if it isn't their pitching, it's their hitting, if their pitching and hitting, it's their fielding, and if their starting sucks, well then you can just screw anything else), though they are winning more often because they are good fundamentally, something we are not. I personally see the Twins winning 90 games, or somewhere around that. So now the Sox have their goal....win 62 more games.
  16. Thank you for saying this. I couldn't have put it better myself. And no, I do not want Singleton back. Please Oakland, keep him.
  17. And someone doesn't just luckily have a .360 average. And I swear that it was anthony, and not mike12345, that said Mora was lucky to hit .360. You're not fooling anyone, but nice try If fans voted for the starting pitcher of the AS game, I guarantee you that Loaiza wouldn't be starting either Not quite. You put him on the A's or Yanks, and if he's hitting .360, I'm sure he'd be an All-Star. Any Oriole fan could say that Loaiza would only be an All-Star because everyone else on the White Sox sucks, and for the season, they wouldn't be wrong. Tell me, honestly, how many other White Sox players deserve to go to the All-Star game, OTHER then ELo? Nice try anthony. You're not fooling anyone
  18. Agreed. The offense is still struggling, and we have our hotter bats in Jose, Carlos, and Rowand, down at the end of the lineup. My suggestion would be to have Rowand lead off, have Jose hit 2nd, and have Carlos hit 3rd.
  19. Let's see.....it's June 29th, and the season is about half-over, and the guy is an everday player and is STILL hitting .360. He is ONLY hitting .360 huh? If it were April 29th, I'd consider believing you. You know what I find funny though? You and Anthony seem to have a similar writing style, you just joined, you've made two posts(both on this thread), you and Anthony haven't been on at the same time, and that your name is rather simple, like it was made up off the top of someone's head to use as a name that a person wouldn't use very often, only to draw the illusion that one person has more people backing him then the other person, though because these two names are being used by the SAME person, that person really is not getting all the backing he thinks he is really getting because he is pretty sure he is wrong. Am I saying you and Anthony are the same person? No....not necessarily. Right now, it kind of seems like that to me though. If I see mike12345 and anthony007 on at the same time, then I'll admit I was wrong and I'll move on.
  20. I have let it go. I just thought it was funny that you said Mora hit .360 by getting lucky. You don't luckily hit .360, I don't care who you are. It's like saying Barry Bonds got lucky in 2001. It's like saying Loaiza has gotten lucky all this year. Get it? I don't even know who brought up bringing Melvin Mora to the Sox anyways. I'd definately take him.....nothing wrong with adding a good hitter who is versatile in the field.....but the asking price would be way too high. You are the one who brought up bringing him here, by saying you don't want to bring him here. Get it? And yes, Melvin Mora and Esteban Loaiza could very well be a like in the fact that they were very mediocre for much of their career, and then just put it all together, made one adjustment, and became very good players. How do you not see the connection?

He called out Thomas because he was hitting .230 at the time and he was being a very s***ty teammate. There was a reason he called out Thomas. Take off the rose-colored glasses sometime and use a little object-ability. Frank Thomas is not the messiah, just a good hitter who was the best hitter in the game during his prime. His skills are diminished. Regardless, Thomas and Konerko have cleared whatever was between the two last year afterwards. You never heard about it because it wouldn't have been a good story.
  23. Alfonseca left a mistake out over the heart of the plate for Rowand, and he hit it a ton. Plain and simple.
