When your second fastest guy on your team is your backup catcher(for now), that says something about your team right there. When your third fastest guy is your third catcher, that also says a lot more than what the above says about your team. We are slow as hell on the bases.....but then again, so are the A's, except for Singleton. Slow teams can win....and I'm thinking that a good move would be to trade Lee at the break for Shannon Stewart....gets us a real good leadoff hitter and improves team speed....I don't care how bad his defense is. It can't be worse than Carlos's.

Well, C-Lee will have to wait until Monday, because I read that he's going to be sitting out Sunday's game vs. Detroit. Paul Konerko is also going to get an off-day Sunday, and the article said that Brian Daubach will get a start. I would guess that the lineup would look something like this... Rios, Rowand, Ordonez in the OF Crede, Valentin, Jimenez, Frank in the IF Olivo and Stewart as the battery and probably Daubach at DH That said, my prediction for a big game Sunday is Magglio. He's overdue Damn clujer....you were right. Maggs did have a pretty big game. Hey....I was right. We won 7-0 yesterday and 10-2 today....I love being right.

Baggs...Just wondering.... Do you think you could make wins and CG's worth a little less? IMO....at 10, they are a little too high. Again....that is just MHO....but I'm thinking maybe like wins worth 5 and CG's worth 7.5....and then shutouts worth 10. Also....I gotta give you credit. You may laugh at me....but I personally believe our offense got rolling tonight. It's kind of hard to believe it....because we only scored 5 runs....but with the cold weather....the balls weren't jumping off the bat like they do when it gets warmer. The air was so thick that it kept atleast 2 in the park(I'm thinking the first ball Thomas hit to RF and Olivo hit one off the top of the wall as well). You add those two, and it is like 7-2 or 8-2....maybe even more. Of course....the thick air helped Jimenez get a triple. Given....this was against the worst team in the league....but it's still steps in the right direction. And the Twinkies lost as well....sweet s***. They face a real team....and get creamed. 4 games into the year....Kansas City is in first place. Ho--ly s***. Who in the hell would have thunk that at any time during the year we'd be chasing KC? Anyways....I fully expect to get rolling soon....everyone except CLee and Konerko. CLee has to hit to get a hit and not hit to get a homer as much anymore(because he's killing himself time and time again), and Konerko isn't hitting worth a damn period. And it is nice to see Thomas going to opposite field as well. And there is still 158 games left. We're gonna see some crazy s*** this year.

I had some ramen noodles before the game today....tasted pretty good. Not that long ago, there was some deal for ramen noodles....maybe 10 for $1....something real friggin cheap like that. Takes 5-10 minutes to cook....that's fastfood....faster than some of those fast-food chains, that's for damn sure.

For what it matters....we got swept by Cleveland last year after they had sold away the entire team(without Colon, Shuey, and whoever else they traded). That team was just as bad as the Royals team is now. The Royals, IMO, might be a 70-75 win team....nothing great....but nothing too terribly bad either. They seem to have some good young pitching over there....and with a former veteran catcher as manager, he knows how to handle pitchers as well as anyone. That's probably another reason they run a lot....because he was a catcher and had an arm as good as anyone....and knows when and when not to run....etc...or so I'm assuming. Then again....that may just be because they made us look like high school hitters against them....who the hell knows.

Man....that sounds like some good s*** that sounds really good to eat. I wish we had some. It's weird that soxheads started this thread today....because I just found out that in North Dakota(where I'm going to move to over the summer), it is illegal for unmarried couples to live together. What the f*** is up with that? And is there any other state that is like that? That bugs me. And according to their little info....there were like 11,000 unmarried couples living together....meaning that there were 22,000 people breaking the law last year. A little too many, IMO.

Than so is Atlanta...getting swept by the future last place Montreal Expos. The Braves had zero offense all series and Andruw Jones made an error(a stupid error at that). The Braves pitching was also shaky. In other words....nothing was clicking. Sound like anyone from the AL Central that we would know of? Right there....I'm seeing two teams that have the talent to be World Series champions....it's just a matter of getting their s*** together.

You wouldn't make any errors either if your range was 3 steps to each direction either. Jose had 2 homers today....how many multi-homer games has Royce had this year? Jose was the only one who played well today....yet, you're trying to blame the loss on him. If you wanna blame it on someone....either blame it on Konerko, blame it on the bullpen, or blame it on the 1B ump. Do NOT blame it on Jose....that is just plain stupid. I'm sure even the biggest Jose bashers would agree with me on this.

Where did you get this info from? It is a proven fact that enough of any drug will impair motorskills, speech, and sight just to name a few for a period of time. It is also a proven fact that enough of any drug, over an extended period of time, will have damaging and lasting effects..... that goes for alcohol, to pot, to the truly hardcore drugs. And, did you know, that one joint has 3 times as much tar and cancer causing carcinogens contained within it than a cigarette does? While I am for the legalization of pot, to say that marijuana has no effect on you, short-term or long-term, is naive at best. Last time I checked, it was actually 4 times as much. Not a big difference...but I thought I'd point it out. I'd be one for legalization of marijuana only if they had strict laws on it....obviously, can't sell it to people under 21(like the alcohol law, because it impairs your vision like alcohol), and assuming they could get like a breathalizer like they do for alcohol testing, I figure that'd be good as well. I'd also make the paper on it like orange or something other than white....so that way you know it is marijuana. I've never personally smoked pot....so I wouldn't know that if the pigments that went into coloring the paper would have an effect on the taste or not....they might....I wouldn't know though.

No effort. That is the only thing I can say about our play so far in this series. These guys better show desire and effort. Or JMs gone and were gonna firesale. I thought we were going to recover from 0-2 but 0-3 Im not so sure. This teams looked horrible... We were 10 games below .500 last year in mid-August, and had the ball bounced our way just once last year in Minnesota during the last stretch of the year, we would have been over .500. When you lose 3-1, 3-2, 3-2 over 3 games, you know you got unlucky, especially when that f***head Bobby Kielty goes deep against you in the 8th inning in 2 straight games like the f***ing dickhead he is. I hope someone drills that f***er just for doing that against us. I hate guys like that. Why can't we have a Twinkie killer? Hopefully Colon will think that by Twinkie we mean the snack Twinkie and he eats them all up. f*** I hate the Twins....they're so goddamn lucky....we'll have a ball hit 1 foot shy of a homer because it was hit too far over towards CF....and they'll hit a little dink shot out just past the foul pole....that's the exact way it is. I hope that the first series we play them.....we outscore them like 48-2 or something over 3 games.....and we score like 12 of those runs against Joe Mays in like the 3rd inning.

We need more team speed....plain and simple. Trade Lee to Toronto for Shannon Stewart....gives us a good leadoff hitter with a good OBP and good speed with some pop in his bat....and it opens up a spot for Daubach to take over full-time and give us LH power in the middle of the lineup to break up all the righties. We then bring up Miles and have another backup INF. I personally feel that'd be the right move....we need to shake some s*** up....get this team going. If this team gets going....it could dominate.

Maggs has gotten off to a slow start more times than not. Thomas is playing decently. What's wrong with the team is that we got beat by the Royals in 3 straight games....when you get beat by the Royals, you are going to suck. Hopefully playing in Chicago will wake their asses up....this team could be special....but it's looking like it could be the Texas Rangers of last year with better pitching....and that's not necessarily a good thing.

I figure a wakeup call would be Konerko or Lee getting traded for 3 prospects...they'd hopefully realize that they better get their s*** together.

Bring in Bobby V or Wally Backman....or someone good like that. Hell....give Sparky Anderson $5 mill a year and bring him in here....I'm sure he'd come in for $5 mill. He'd help us beat the s*** out of the Tigers in a damn hurry. I wish this team would realize that if they beat the teams they are supposed to beat, they can handle getting their asses handed to them occassionally by a big boy, instead of having to be beating the big boys just to stay within 5 games. After the 3rd game of the year....and you are 3 games out....you are in the s***ter. Atleast we didn't have to face Detroit when they had 4 pitchers make their big league debut....had that happened against us, you'd think the Tigers had the next 4 Cy Youngs coming out.
