I stopped watching that show a long time ago. They have good opinions....but Kellerman just bugs the hell out of me. I wish he wouldn't just go with that attitude of "Oh no, I don't agree with you....I'm going to put you on mute." He doesn't do it often....but that's how I feel when I watch that show....and how he always thinks he is right....when he is not right all the time.

Holy s***...no wonder why we sucked ass. Seeing him say "We left our bats at BHam," I thought he was going to like analyze it and give the reason why...you know how they say you forgot your bats at home when you go on the road and score like 5 runs in a series....yeah, that's what I thought he meant. And then I find out it is the truth. Holy s***.....I don't know if I wanna laugh or cry....but I'll probably laugh.

I'm reading this thread....and we're all pissed because we lost....but we have to realize, that we did play better then they did...and that's the truth. They got luckier than we did....and that's the truth. I know I saw two lined shots in the game....and I was in school until the 4th or so. I heard Hawk mention Jose's rip to the 2Bman(?....or was it SS? I can't remember), and I saw him rip a MacDougal pitch to the RFer....he just hit them in the wrong spot...another foot one way or the other, and Jose goes 2-3 or 2-4....whatever he would have gone. I saw Sandy rip one right to Randa....a foot one way or the other...and it is a single or even a double. I also believe Rowand hit one that was just foul....a foot or maybe a little more right....and that is a fair ball. Meanwhile....Ken Harvey fights off a pitch in about the 5th or so...and it goes down the line for a double. 2 inches to the left....and Konerko has it in his glove. That s*** will happen to you....and it just happened to us on opening day. In my books....this loss is no big deal. We were going to lose to them eventually over the course of the season. You can't win 'em all.

If we're done because we got shutout by the Royals(by a pitcher who does have good stuff), then so are the Red Sox when their bullpen imploded against the DRays. Not sure if this has been posted....but I figured I'd point it out. Something tells me that all of Red Sox nation has (not) given up already. They got beat by a worse team than we did....big f***ing deal. They're all major league teams and every year will beat every other team....unless it's interleague. During interleague....we may sweep the Dodgers(let's hope so)....and in that case....they won't beat us. Odds are....we will lose to every team we play. This one just happened to be us getting shutout by the Royals on opening day. Had this happened in June....we would has said "No big deal." But because it was opening day....we are pissed. Let's just rock the s*** out of the ball for the next 2 months or so....and then for the last 2 months(being September and October)....and put up 6 runs per from June till August. If we do that....we're good as gold.

Graffy is not even close to what Jose is defensively. Graffy makes all the routine plays....Jose does not. Graffy has very little range....Jose has very, very good range. Graffy has a soft, accurate throw....Jose has a fast, inaccurate throw. There is a big difference defensively. I'm not shocked by the move though....because as some guys have said, you gotta get the bench players in....and Jose doesn't hit lefties very well.

Hell..if he gives them advice like that...then we could trade the entire roster we have now....go through a rebuilding time...and still win a World Series or two before they do.

I've never liked Lee....and I would love it if we traded him. But there is no need to trade him for playing poorly for the entire season when he has the tools....especially, if the season has only been 1 game long. Maybe this team realized how much potential they had and they had the jitters....who knows? It's one game....and is hopefully the last game we are behind Minnesota in the standings.

Absolutely. Respect isn't given -- it's earned, and since 2000, the Sox haven't earned s***. Also, why did whitesoxfan crucify the entire ESPN staff because of Gammons and Harold Reynolds? Linda Cohn, Stewart Scott, Dan Patrick, and Kenny Mayne are exceptional on SportsCenter, and Dan is equally as good in his radio show on ESPN Radio. Also, their Sunday Night Baseball crew (Morgan and Miller) are pretty darned good too IMO. Anyway, don't blame the whole staff for a couple of moronic comments made by 2 people. And let's be real -- who's going to give the Sox credit? Even in 2000 when we were rolling over everybody, everyone in the national sports media was just counting down the seconds until we imploded. We never did, and I don't think 2003 will be any different. I meant the whole Baseball Tonight staff....and I'm talking more of the analyzers, and not the guys that talk about the games like Stuart Scott and who not like that. They don't say anything objectional. I still don't know why Gammons is employed by ESPN. Also....CLee apparently forgot how to count in Arizona....sheesh.

The worst team will be Milwaukee....if Ritchie pitches half as bad as he did last year....he could lose 25 games. Now knowing our luck....Ritchie will be a 20-game winner....and Royce will win the triple crown.

First off....welcome aboard. I think I'm the first to say that. Now, for the question....3 catchers sucks. Miles should be on the roster....not Paul. Paul blows....and we now only have 1 backup infielder...unless Paul can handle 2B, SS, and 3B.

I watched Baseball Tonight before the game tonight....and I had mixed emotions. I was pissed, because no one is giving the Sox the credit they deserve...yet, I was light-hearted, knowing how stupid they all really are. I don't really think I have to sum up Peter Gammons's side of the story to tell you why he is a dumbass....he talked about why he had the Braves winning the division...and he said that it was because of their bullpen and how Bobby Cox can always put together a good bullpen. And then(and I was LMAO after he said this), he said that John Smoltz has been one of the best closers over the past decade. And when he talked about how the Cubs were going to win the division(another time I was LMAO), he was just spewing s*** everywhere. And his reason for the Twins winning the division was "Watch out for Kyle Lohse." He basically said that the Twins will win the division because of Kyle Lohse...and he then said the Twins had the best bullpen in the league. This time last year....we were all talking about how the Twins bullpen was their weak point. Gee, how times change. I pretty much stopped watching it after that Bobby V was the only one I ever really agreed with....I don't think there was anything dumb that he said(off the top of my head, that is). I don't agree with his decision on who will win the AL Central.....but he atleast backed up his opinion with a solid statement....saying it's because the Twins defense is so good. He said the Twins defense will win the division....and if the Twins do win the division....that will most likely be why. Harold Reynolds didn't say anything wrong until they started talking about defenses....his comment on how the White Sox just can't play defense is stupid as hell. He said because the White Sox can't catch the ball, they won't win the division. Last time I checked....they had a s***ty defense in 2000....and they still won 95 games. This year, their defense overall is much improved over 2000.....why is it suddenly the weak point? Also...I think Reynolds said that the Twins would win the division because they have a good balance. I guess he hasn't waken up and smelled the White Sox....they have the most balance team in the majors....having a great offense, a great pitching staff, and a solid defense. I could see how the Twins being a balanced team could win them a division....but it won't win them a division this year....because the fact is, the White Sox are more balanced than the Twins. I don't know how much Baseball Tonight I'm going to be watching this year....probably a lot, because the Sox will come bursting out of the gates and won't slow down until June or so....maybe July, when the All-Star game comes to Chicago.

Kurkjian? He's worse than Gammons. Only Stark's opinion is worth a damn in my mind. That's why he was sent to the situation involving the strike last year and not Kurkjian or Gammons.

I'd look for him to get traded at the deadline....possibly to Arizona. If Kim makes their rotation and pitches well.....then they will have 1 spot for both Patterson and Batista....and then I assume one of those two will go to KC. Maybe like Lyle Overbay, Patterson/Batista(I assume Batista), and then some others for Sweeney....that's what I'd do if I was the Royals.
