Get used to Jose batting from the right side. He played all off-season putting emphasis on right-handed swing. Last year he hit a grand slam from right side. Graffanino's era is over. Graffy's still a helluva backup IF and brings a good bat as a PH. Players like him ALWAYS find homes. I really like him in Chicago....because he brings a little pop off the bench. Very nice. We must be going 2000-style....using Jose as much as possible.

He probably will....but I wouldn't. Not only is Jose seeing the ball really well today(which means he'll probably see it well from the right-side of the plate as well....and he is a pro hitter....he can hit the ball well occassionally from both sides of the plate), but we need him up there....it's going to work out. He'll hit a little seeing eye single that will score DJ.....simply because he's gotten robbed 3 previous times today. Well, that's what I hope happens.

Haha....sucks to be the Mets
-
That'd suck for the Indians....get beat by two former Indians. Haha

Anything to get him out of his funk.

What if Loaiza and Stewart r the real deal?

Last year's team vs the Tigers team this year, right? We woulda killed them....and our AAA team would kill the Tigers this year too. The Tigers have like 2 mediocre players....and 1 good player....otherwise, everyone else on their team sucks ass. Pena will be a good hitter some day....and Young and Palmer are decent players....but otherwise....everyone else is terrible. They have decent pitching....but it is young and raw. They might lose 110-120 games. Not a great first season for Alan Trammel and crew. -
I don't think this game will be that fun to watch. If Kansas's fastbreak offense gets going....they're gonna dominate. If Kansas's fastbreak doesn't get going....Anthony is gonna take over and score about 25-35 points with about 10 assists and Syracuse's 2-3 zone is gonna kick the s*** out of Kansas. It's a good offense against a helluva defensive scheme. I'm not sure there is a clear cut favorite nor do I think it will be a close game. I'm usually wrong though because s*** just goes that way for me.

Or....if Stewart continues to pitch well....and we want to get another good starter at the deadline(assuming Loaiza struggles), Wright becomes decent trade bait. Let a team have their choice of Wright or Rauch.....Rauch being the one with the most potential, but being no where close to it, or take Wright, who is the better pitcher thus far and does actually have pretty good stuff. I'm hoping for the best....but Murphy's Law always kicks our ass. Something will happen.

If they're for real, then we have one hell of a rotation. -
200-250 miles.....something like that...about a 3 and a half hour drive(going on I-90....it can go pretty fast sometimes)

Roman.....you just go to the league home....and at the top in the little yellow box it will say "Enter Live Draft NOW".....and you click on that. That is, if you can make it to the draft for any of it at all. If not....it will draft your highest ranked player that is available....for instance, if you have the 4th pick and have A-Rod ranked #1 and Vlad Guerrero at #2, and ARod has been taken while Vlad has not....the computer will draft Vlad for you.

Hey....you're laughing at the biggest county in South Dakota. Seriously though....Sioux Falls is in Minnehaha county. Don't laugh at SoDak....we don't wanna get in this s***. Laugh at the Twinkies or Minnesota or Minneapolis....not South Dakota though. Then again....everyone here is stupid enough to follow the Twins...so you can laugh at SoDak, as long as you don't laugh at me.

420....Palmer tried to spike Valentin.....because he's an asshole.
-
I wouldn't have given that s*** to the guy. I would have given the stuff to a kid in the Make-a-Wish foundation. That would be a class act. The guy at the Angels game is a huge dumbass....I wanna smack people that arrogant. They piss me off immensely.
-
Yeah....I guess that does look good.
-
What in the hell would Dibble know about being classy?
-
If one of those three goes....it will be Valentin. He is in his comfort zone...playing SS and hitting in the #2 spot ahead of Frank. I wouldn't be surprised if he hit .280 30 100 this year

Let's see....Danny only won 14 games for us last year. Yeah, he really sucks. you beat me to that response What gets me is when people use the "high ERA" argument.....ERA is overrated IMO. If you win a lot of games but have a high ERA, it obviously means you kept the team in the game long enough to help the team get a win. If you have a low ERA and a low win amount...it obviously means that you can't keep the team in the game. That's why pitchers with more wins win more games in postseason play than pitchers with low ERAs....they don't crack under the pressure. Pitchers with low ERAs may have a 2-0 lead....but in the 7th or 8th inning, give up 2 or 3 runs.....which results in a low ERA for the pitcher, but no win either. A pitcher with a high ERA may have a 6-5 lead...and hold it until the 7th....the bullpen comes in and shuts the game down. The starter has a bad ERA for the game....but gets the win. That's why last year Dan was our second best pitcher....and not Garland. That is also why Eldred helped us so damn much in 2000...BTW, anyone know if he made the Cards rotation, and if so, how he has done so far? Then again....if you're Todd Ritchie, and you have a high ERA and a low win amount....it means you suck. I like Garland's stuff more and I think he'll develop into the better pitcher over time....but Wright has earned his spot in the rotation. He won't lose it because of an injury. And to judge a curveball pitcher based on Arizona ST stats is stupid as hell also....Dan's got a helluva curve ball....but in Arizona, it doesn't curve, and it is hit hard. Dan has his spot in the rotation, and he will keep it.

I am sory but this would be a mistake of Sosa-Bell-esque proportions. Carlos is a goof no doubt, but so is Sosa, Ramirez, Canseco, and many others. He just came off a great second half AND hit .400 in the spring..AND has already 3 walks while obviously being in the slump. There is no reason to give up now. Not on Konerko and especially nto CLee. Sure, keep an eye out for Rowand and Daubach and Valenzula, but Lee-Borchard-Maggs should be the starting trio until proven otherwise. And Sox will never have great, Minnesota-like defense regadless if it's Borchard or Lee out there. IMO, Rowand is also FAR from his potential. His second at-bat against a bad Tiger pitcher is case in point: on 2-0 he puts a huge swing on would-be ball 3. Way foul. Then he proceeds to take two consecutive "right there" pitches that players like Giambi would have absolutely crushed for stikes 2 and 3. See ya later. Clearly Aaron was guessing and reacting out there intead of trying to read the pitches and use short and quick swing like all good hitters do. Not good. Borchard has mis-leading range in CF....it is pretty good....but an OF of Lee, Borchard, Maggs is absolutely god-awful. It is the best offensively....but the worst defensively. One of Thomas and Lee will be gone after this offseason....and I'm crossing my fingers it will be Lee. Thomas at 36 is better than Lee is at 26 or 27 or however old he is. Thomas is much, much more valuable than Lee is, IMO. And Thomas may make less as well....who the hell knows.

If the Tigers won 3 games in a row.....I wouldn't know what to think. They seriously suck ass.....you couldn't wake that team up if you hit them in the head with a baseball bat. Hell...you could blow up their park and they'd probably be happy. Just bring in the Krochster and have him drill Palmer in the ribs the next time he play them....with a weak Koch fastball....you know.....95 MPH.
-
1. Lee has deceptive speed. He stole 20+ bases 2 years ago, no? He is slower than Stewart but by no means a Konerko. Above average for a LF'er I think. 2. Lee is way too talented. Unless Stewart can play center field, I veto the trade proposal With the exception of Frank, Crede and Hurt, we are NOT all that slow with the likes of Jimenez, Olivo, Magglio, Rowand, Borchard Lee and esp. Valentin all being able to score from 1st on a double down the line and swipe an occasional base or two and that's ALL you need. Can they steal 20+ bases each? Rowand, Olivo and Valentin could easily if they had 28-30 attempts each, which they won't so it's a moot point...but thene agin, lioke you said, we're a high-powered offense and will never be Minnesota-like. I am fine with that. We are a high powered offense....but I'd like to mix in the hit-and-run a little more often And if we can get Jimenez and Valentin stealing bases....then that will leave Frank with fat ones to keep them from stealing bases.....and Thomas can hit a 94 MPH fastball a long ways.
-
As long as we kick the s*** out of everyone else, I don't give a rat's ass who else sucks.
-
Jimenez never will steal 30 bases...that's a given. He doesn't possess the speed nor the baserunning skills to do that. However....I gotta think he has a better glove and better range....though no one was better than Durham at turning two. I could most definately see Jimenez become a good #2 hitter someday....but I personally do not believe he'll ever be a real good leadoff hitter. To be a good leadoff hitter....you gotta be able to steal some bases IMO....and I'm not sure Jimenez can steal a whole lot of bases.
