Konerko and Lee are struggling badly...if they get going...we will be a very good team. I'm just worried they won't get going. Lee may get going in June like last year....but that might be too damn late. It seems like he may be a guy that is never on a championship team. Last year....when we were winning....he was struggling. And then, during the Cubs series, he caught fire....after we had basically given up. And if I remember correctly....he also struggled in the second half of 2001....when we were trying to fight for a playoff spot after starting out 14 or 15 games under .500. If I were KW....I'd trade both and get what value I could....and use Rios/Borchard in LF and Daubach at 1B. We'd have a more balanced lineup with bats from both sides of the plate, and, for what it's worth, we'd be cutting salaries as well....gives us room to trade for a good but overpriced player in the final year of his deal that we could use. Not sure who....but it is a possibility. I'd be for trading Konerko to the O's for like Rodrigo Lopez and trading Lee to Toronto for Shannon Stewart.....I don't know about anyone else though.

Maybe we should consult a calendar before celebrating. agreed. and I'd rather them be behind us only rather than both of us behind the Royals. In my book.....not necessarily. I would rather have everyone behind us.....but I would be all the more happier if Minnesota was behind KC while we were ahead of everyone. If Minnesota is right behind us....then I'm not gonna be as happy.

Hey....success can do a s*** load. In 2000....14,700 was a very good number for a Twins game. If they got 10,000, they were happy as hell. If they got 10,000 now.....there would have to be a hole in the roof and baseball wouldn't be able to be played....because some 10,000 dumbasses would show up to the game anyways.

I predict that after April...Garland gets going and becomes a dominant pitcher....winning 18 games. He'll get a win or two in April too.

It's fine if Konerko wants to "cheat" a bit with a power swing on a 2-0 pitch or (less likely) sees the pitch so early and so well that he feels confident about jumping on it...but it isn't the case: I see so many 0-1 power swings that result in foul ball and pop ups I feel sick. Gary Ward should get the f*** out if he can't teach his hitters value of opposite field hitting. Konerko and Lee in particular should be embarassed. If he is as dumb as he seems during interviews, I am scared for these hitters. Somebody tell me why I shouldn't be pissed right now You should be pissed. I'm frustrated with Carlos Lee, Borchard should be on the roster and not Josh Paul. CWSOX45 Trade Lee and bring up Miles...use Daubach in LF for now...breaks up the righties in the middle of the lineup. Put Dauber at #5....and Konerko at #6....IMO, that'd work out great....and if Konerko needs a rest....use either Dauber at 1B....or Graffy or Miles or someone like that. Hell, use Thomas and have Alomar DH. Something. I seriously would really not mind at all if Lee got traded...hell, trade him for prospects....and have JR do it. Don't let KW know about any of it.

Damn....I forgot we changed hitting coaches since then. I assume Ward has put into our hitters mind that we should be hitting for the 3-run homer....and not playing small ball like Von Joshua taught our guys to do. We should blame Joshua's firing on someone-who-I-won't-name

Manuel is the dumbest f***ing manager in the world. What's the point of pinch hitting now when you have a hitter coming up that has actually hit decently this year? Why not pinch hit for a guy that is the tying run when he has hit like s*** the whole year? I'm about ready to trade Manuel and Lee to KC for Tony Pena.

End of 6 1/2....Twins still down 2-1. It was kind of funny....whoever led off the inning got out...then Pierzynski had about an 8 pitch at bat....and it was at 1-2 about the whole count...he eventually singled, and like 2 pitches later, Rivas grounded into a 4-3 DP.

And only 1 of them has deserved to go to a World Series. I wonder who I could be talking about...
