  1. baggs....I agreed with everything else except this. In KC, his grand slam(regardless of where the pitch was) knocked the Royals out of it. At the time, the score was 4-2....you can get 2 runs by getting a hit, drawing a walk, and hitting a double....and just like that, you're tied up. Hell, you can manufacture two runs in two innings....no problem. Lee's granny was the nail in the coffin that killed KC. It's easier to come back from 2 down than it is 6 down....anyone can tell you that. In yesterday's game....we were down 3-2 at the time when CLee hit his homer....his homer tied it up. The way Colon had been pitching the last couple innings....he wasn't gonna give up another run....hell, it looked like he wasn't gonna give up another hit(I'm not sure....he may have kept Cleveland hitless for the rest of the game). CLee's shot gave us new life. Today....when you're up 9-2....a 3-run homer is as meaningless as Koch giving up a solo homer to Hafner. While you like to see it/don't like to see it....you could have done without it. We would have won anyways. That homer was meaningless....hell, anything after the first was meaningless unless you have some of those guys on your fantasy team(and I do....I got Jimenez and Lee in the same league...and in that league, I have Colon, who earned me 24 points yesterday....hell yes ).
  2. Last night....I noticed something that I really like to see. While watching the highlights on ESPN.....I got to see Clee's blast....but then, 2 pitches after Lee's homer....Crede got a brush down pitch(because I don't know what you would call it). They showed Lee in the dugout...and he went to the top step and yelled something at RicRod. That is two times now that our players have been brushed back like that and we have had backup like that....the first with Thomas and Ascensio when Ascensio hit Frank the second time....and now this. Team chemistry is not a problem....it is obvious to tell when the two most selfish players on the team(Thomas and Lee) are either being backed up or are backing up the team. Minnesota better not do anything to piss us off....like hitting Thomas or hitting CLee...because we'll come out as a team. I can deal with the suspensions and such if suspensions were given out....but we'd come out charging as a team....like in 2000 after the Tigers series.

What happens in September? I'll see if Tupac is alive or not....and hopefully, the Sox clinch the AL Central, and homefield advantage throughout! And I do also believe that the LAPD has something to do with BIG's death. It would be solved by now.
  4. I'll second that. It's one thing to be a distraction that doesn't produce like K-layton. It's another thing to be a distraction and produce like Jimenez has thus far. By not producing, you mean not hitting your weight for the first two months of the year, but then come July and August, you are a .300 hitter, right?

    NBA Playoffs

No, I am not s***tin you. You can't just say a team that won 103 games is going to bow out. Lets say the series was the same through 4 games, 3-1. Ok, well a team with a lineup of Soriano, Jeter, Bernie, Giambi, Posada, Ventura, White, Mondesi, Johson is capable of coming back and winning 3 in a row. The '01 Yankees with primarily the same pitching as the '02 yanks came back from down 0-2 to beat the A's...and that was without, Giambi, Ventura, White, Mondesi, Johnson. The A's were a better baseball team that had outplayed the Yankees the sameway the Angels had, yet because the Yankees are the superior team they are easily capable of a comeback. Especially in a 7 game series that would have returned to the Bronx with a win in game 5. You gotta be s***tin me to say that there is no way the Yankees could have comeback, not too mention that the Yankees were facing Appier, Ortiz, and Washburn, Washburn is the only stud among those guys, Ortiz proved unworthy in Game 2. The Yankees actually should have won game 2. Game 4 in that series was the only game you could say...damn the Angels really outplayed the Yankees. As for the twinkies, yes they deserved to go as much as their ALCS opponent, the Angels deserved to be there. The Twins were as impressive in the ALDS as the Angels. Why do you want to see the teams that deserve to be there anyways, thats like saying that you want all the high seeds to win in the NCAA tourney The A's didn't dominate the series like the Angels did though. The Angels were tearing up the Yankees. The Yanks couldn't stop them.

Is it true that Tupac took his name from all his stints in prison..... his ass being worth "two pack" of cigarettes? Uh....no

    The Simpsons

That one is classic. There are too many good ones....but I really liked the one where Marge got implants. Pretty damn funny. I'm not sure if it's the greatest show ever.....one of the greatest cartoons ever, no doubt. They should come out with a Simpsons movie.
  8. I know this guy....a nice guy....that is kind of weird. In 7th grade....I was at a kid's sleepover. Anyways, while at the sleepover, we dared this guy to strip down to his boxers, and run down the street to a house. In front of this house were 4 seniors talking. He ran down there, and just said some stuff....and the guy said "Why don't you bring your other friends down with you?" and then the guy ran back up to the house and put his clothes back on. After that....we found a pear, and we dared him to stick his dick in it. So he did it. We threw the pear away after that. We then got a couch pillow, and put it over his hips and legs, and he started to do a masturbation motion type thing.....and we took a picture of it. It really did look like he was jerking off(he got the facial expression and everything). We then dared him to spray paint his pubes....and he did it. I never did bother to look though. After that.....we asked him to strip down to his boxers again....go outside and take something that looked like s*** and put it under his ass.....and take a picture of it. That one did kind of look like s*** as well..but it wasn't as real. I think that's all that he did on that nght. What a crazy-ass night.
  9. Murc....the Jimenez haters are going for your head now! I'm very happy...and if he drew 100 walks and struck out about 60 times....I'd be happy.
  10. I'll second that. He's been incredible so far. The ball seems to jump off his bat like noone else on the team. BTW.... Jimenez OBP = .418 Frank OBP = .449 Dammit clujer, you beat me to it Weird how Thomas has an average of .227 or so and Jimenez has an average of about .297....yet, Thomas has a higher OBP. If Thomas gets it going....we'll be awesome.
  11. HELL NO. Taking away the umpires would take away an integral part of the game. I'd be firmly against that. Just hold the umps accountable when they f*** up, and that will solve the problem real quick. Umpires are as important to baseball as bread is to a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Hell, because of a bad umpire, the Royals won the 1985 World Series. Willie Wilson was out by a friggin mile....but was called safe on a s***ty call. I still find the fact that the Cubs are playing great baseball right now and we're playing s***ty baseball and we have nearly identical records funny as hell.
  12. Right now....that is maybe one of the only things we could do. I'd still like to get Rios and Dauber more playing time than they would if Harris came up and was the CFer....meaning more pine time for CLee and PK.
  13. It's all about the starting pitching Exactly. If our offense gets going and our starting is half as good as this....we are one hell of a scary team.

    CLee

As I said...I can't be sure one way or the other. I'll find out this up and coming September. And for what it matters....Tupac died on Friday the 13th. And one more thing....on the night of his shooting....he had attended the Tyson fight in Vegas...and he didn't wear his bulletproof vest, which he always wore to big events like this. Kind of weird how he didn't wear it on a night where Mike Tyson fights in Las Vegas. Clujer....I'm not so sure about that. He atleast had a softer side....you have to have a softer side to write a poetry book.
  15. Konerko looks awful up there. I've seen about 13 of the 16 games, and he looks pathetic so far. And "the HR derby ruined his swing" is a lame excuse. If he didn't think he could handle it, he shouldn't have done it. Besides, that was months ago -- maybe that excuse would work the series after the AS break, but 8 months later it's a flimsy cop-out. He needs to get his act together soon -- especially since he's hitting behind Jimenez, Valentin, Frank, and Magglio, all of whom have a very good OBP. He's only got 5 RBI this season -- he should have at least 12-15. He hasn't hit since the All-Star break....that's why I'm wondering if it really did. He also had a foot injury to go along with that. Both CLee and PK look s***ty up there....and seeing a little more of their backups wouldn't hurt.
  16. Not to defend the umpires, because lately they seem to be suffering from selective blindness when it involves the Sox, but umping in little league is nothing like umping in the majors. It's like comparing Pong (extremely slow) to a modern video game (very fast). And it's like having a very inexperienced player compared to a video game god. It may not be the same thing....but it should be damn close comparing how a little league umpire umps a little league game and how a big league umpire umps a big league game. These guys are pros for a reason.
  17. you better go back and check the archives.. i have never liked dj since he walked into our clubhouse..........honestly.......go look for yourself .. youll never see one post from me praising him or even coming close to resembling my like for the guy.........ive pretty much bashed on him since he got here........... I'd second that. HSC has been pro-Miles this whoooole time. She hasn't come off to me as anti-Jimenez until just now....but I guess she's that too.
  18. Konerko is donig s***ty as well...and he's been even worse on defense(which has cost us atleast 1 game....if not more). However, we have not had these problems with Konerko before.....we'll wait and see if they work themself out, or what happens. We've had these exact same problems with Carlos before....which is a problem. If he is making the same mistake constantly.....don't you think it would be a problem? I haven't gotten to see how Paully looks up at the plate....but I know that he's changed his stance since the All-Star break last year....and he hasn't hit since the AS break last year. I'm thinking that home run derby messed him up real good. Hell....he looks like a friggin rookie up there. Maybe he just needs to be developed again....who the hell knows.
  19. ive said for a long time i wouldnt have a problem with maggs in CF..if we cant figure out our CF woes this year..i think the sox should ask maggs to go to winter ball and play some CF and see if he thinks he can handle it I see a minor problem occurring there. WE NEED A CFer NOW! Next year, we'll have Borchard ready....and we'll let him work through the growing pains(if there are any)....and we'll have Maggs in RF....and hopefully someone else in LF other than Carlos....or maybe we have someone else in CF and Maggs and Borchard flip-flopping between LF and RF. I still wanna trade CLee for Shannon Stewart...hopefully, he'd realize he's not invincible there and he'd start killing the ball...and Toronto wouldn't mind dealing with us again.
  20. This is one of the rare times that I will cheer for the Twins. I hate the Yankees more than any team in baseball. A team that spends money like they do doesn't even deserve to play baseball. I just want them to fall on their faces, because they are the exact opposite of us....if we sign some stud, he'll start doing terrible....and the Yankees will get lucky as hell....they'll sign Scott Brosius, and he'll come through....hell, they could trade for Tony G and he'd become an all-star in NYC....which isn't fair. How can teams get that friggin lucky, when they shouldn't get that lucky? You look and you see the NY media and it eats players up for the littlist mistakes....and you'd think it would be stressful....but nothing happens. You see two 40-year olds in their rotation...and they're the best 1-2 combo in the league. There is something definately wrong in that picture. I don't like it. And when they play KC next....I'll be cheering for them. Anything to stop the damn Royals. Otherwise....I'll be cheering for everyone who plays them.
  21. Oakland used him in an extrordinary amount of innings last year....he pitched like 95 innings....that's about 15-20 more than a closer needs. Suppose that could have done it?
  22. Do you think Carlos doesn't already know that while he's on his way back to the dugout? He's a hell of a lot smarter than some of you give him credit for. He's a major league baseball player for a reason, and it's not luck. It's hard to know. He's making the same mistakes constantly. Swinging too hard, too often....trying to pull a pitch on the outer half of the plate....trying to pull a ball when you have a runner on second and no outs or 1 out....not going to RF enough. I'm sick of this s***...he's struggling like hell right now....so he should either not be playing, or he should be helping us in ways he can. Except for a few occassions, he is not helping us.
