Happy B-Day Mark....I hope he wins as many games as he is years old this year. That would be sweet.

If Anthony Webster develops out as we hope he does.....we could have an incredible OF from left to right....Maggs, Webster, Borchard....Maggs and Borchard could both be hitting 45 homers and hitting .320 and Webster could be hitting like .310 with 25 homers and 25 steals....and that is a pretty good OF defensively too. I do know one thing....this organziation, at this point in time, is heading in the right direction.

If our pitching is this good in the regular season....holy s***, we'll be f***in awesome.

AJ Burnett would take a LOT more then rauch... AJ is the real deal. AJ was injured at the end of last year....and is sore again this spring(I believe....I know he has been hurt a little). His opening day start is in question, I know that. I don't want to trade for AJ just yet....with Torberg and his past mishandling of pitchers in the season....it scares me. I just don't really want to trade for any of the Marlins's pitchers, in all reality, except maybe Josh Beckett is that chance ever came up. If we got Josh Beckett cheap....pigs would be flying

Sturgis is a very nice place to go....and they have a hell of a wrestling team.....I think they won the state tourney in wrestling this year. Their football program is terrible though(they've lost like 50 straight games or something close to that), and their basketball program isn't much better(they won 4 games this year...at the most). Oh yeah....they also have this thing called the Sturgis Rally.....any of you ever heard about it?

That could be compared to Babe Ruth when he called his shot against the Cubs -- because that's basically what he did. Bo was a hell of an athlete. I wonder who the next Bo Jackson is....or if there will ever be another Bo Jackson. Who knows?

Just a little clarification From my source(sox2k3 from the MLB board), Loaiza gave up 12 hits through 14.2.....if he gave up 217 hits....he would have had to have given up a hell of a lot of hits in like 5.1 innings....like 205. That's a little too many.

Well, if you're talking about just that....then hell, I bet HSC or Heather could do that. They could throw a no-hitter if they got naked too!

I didn't want to create another thread for my venting....so here goes. You know what pisses me off? WSB 2K3 is NOT, I repeat, NOT going to come out of GameCube.....instead, they are going to put out Home Run King, a much worse game than WSB....why in the hell would they be that f***ing arrogant to do such a stupid ass thing? They did more work then they had to, or so I assume. Home Run King has the same hitting and pitching engine, or so I assume, but you can't do a franchise mode at all....you have the season mode, home run derby, exhibition, playoffs and quick start....AND THAT IS IT. What kind of BULLs*** is this? Those f***ing assholes....I'm still wondering why in the hell they wouldn't just put out WSB for all 3 systems....is it because they want to be sons of b****es or what? I'm still gonna get a GameCube....no point in getting a PS2 or XBox and then not being able to play the games I have grown up on to this point in time(Mario, Zelda, Metroid, and to an extent, Super Smash Bros as well). Goddamn that pisses me off. Once I get it(because I don't have near enough money yet), I will get ASB 04, Metroid right away(because I'm gonna save up for the $150 combo you get at ebgames.com....you get a platinum system and Metroid free)....and eventually Zelda, Super Smash Bros, Mario....etc....and if they don't come out with WSB 2K4 on GameCube....I'm going to register about 100 different email addresses....and email them 1000 times about how they are assbags for not coming out with it. Also....Harris didn't lose it. He regained himself and made the play, amazingly enough.

I saw that and I have that on the MLB message boards as my sig....before this even came out(or so I assume). I have it and then a caption of like Harris thinking "What in the f*** is that?" only I edited out the f*** with some symbols(*% or something like that)

Had Bo not suffered from injuries....he could have been one of the only players to have atleast been on both the Football HoF ballot(and probably voted in too) and the Baseball HoF ballot. He was a helluva player. You see guys like Deion Sanders....who are two-sport players, but only real good at 1 of them(and mediocre at the other)....and you still think they are amazing. Then you look at Bo Jackson....who was an absolute frickin stud. I'd take 9 Bo Jackson's in my lineup over almost anyone....guys that have a ton of talent, but also a great work ethic as well....and a lot of heart for a sport. To play on a reconstructed hip is an incredible feat in itself...hell, to play in a slow pitch softball league on a recontructed hip is incredible....but he played major league baseball....and succeeded.

Regarding Aaron's 0-5 day....refer to Showtime's first point his his post. s*** happens Even the best have 0-5 days.

Didn't Sweet Lou call Nardi the worst pitching coach ever? Now we have him in our minor league system(or so I've read at times)....not sure if that's still true, but if it is, then our prospects are in deep s***.

Clujer....what you are apparently forgetting is that Danny has a bad case of getting himself into the big inning. He could have 3 good starts in a row....giving up 2 runs through 6 or 7 or maybe even 8....and then he'd get lit for like 8 runs in 4....that's gonna inflate your ERA no matter who you are. His 5.17 ERA is a little inflated.....it should be lower....but isn't.

Rios can backup CF just fine... Harris in CF scares me... he would work in case of a emergency though... By that i mean Rowands hurt, Rios has explosive diaherra and cant play, Borchy has a hangover and they managed to find harris in time for the game.... other then that i really dont wanna see him in CF... he doesnt have the arm for CF That's a little farther than I think you had to go...but it works for me. LOL

YASNY, you're probably right....I just put down what I want to happen.

No Miles can't play CF....that wasn't really the point. The point was that Harris is a terrible CFer, and can only play CF because of his speed. Obviously Rios won't start....I was talking about being a backup CFer, in case Rowand goes down or he needs a day-off. Rowand could stay in CF all 162 games if he wanted to....all you have to do is look at Terrence Long in Oakland. There's a minor difference though.....Long's nickname isn't "Crash."

Not that theres anything wrong with that, is there? Never said there was....you wouldn't think that an older man like him and a 15-year old, mid-teen kid would have a lot in common....but we do. It's kind of nice.

For part of April....Stewart would basically be giving us another lefty out of the pen. This is going to be tough on whoever is the #5 pitcher....because if we go with the rotation the way it is, no matter what(going 1-5 regardless of off-days)....then the top 4 will probably work on 5 day's rest....and that may keep them out of a rhythm, or get them into a rhythm only to have it be broken later on....but if we go with whoever the best available is depth wise(1-5 in the rotation)....then whoever the #5 pitcher is takes a hit....though being used out of the pen isn't necessarily out of the question. If Stewart is the #5....then he could be used as a lefty out of the pen. However, if Danny is sent down to AAA without it being a rehab assignment...his confidence could take a hit. I mean....the kid wins 14 games for us in 2002....and his reward is being sent to the minors? It doesn't make sense. Jerry's got a tough-ass decision....and I hope he makes the right one. Both has their pros and their cons....and at this point...I don't know which is the better option. I'd assume it is use Wright out of the #5 slot....just because he does have some pretty good stuff...and he gives us another arm out of the pen for atleast a little bit....long relief.

I've got a plan that I'm going to try to do. Over the internet, you can vote for the All-Star game....and what I figure I can do is just register a new email address each day, and vote all 25 times. If I can actually do this....and say I vote for 30 days(like 1 month)....that is about 750 votes. If I did it for 2 months....that'd be 1500 votes. If 10 people did this....that'd be 15,000 votes. If 10 more people did it....it'd be 30,000 votes. If 20 more did it....that'd be 60,000. If we could get 60,000 more votes for Sox guys....I'm sure we'd get a few more starters.
