Forsythe costs nothing financially and can play 2B/3B/SS/LF/RF. Keppinger costs $4+ mill and can play 2B/3B/1B. You tell me which one you are going to inquire about.

Honestly, I hope they use him as a reliever in AAA in hopes that he gains a couple MPH. The guy knows how to pitch, but when you are throwing 87-90 MPH fastballs without much movement, guys are going to hit you. His breaking pitches work ok and he changes speeds fairly well. If anything, it's a quality signing for Charlotte. Having seen a year of him in the majors, he is not going to make it as a starting pitcher. He's likely just Philip Humber reincarnated, but maybe, if the Sox are lucky, he turns into something useful again.
