FWIW, people questioned Bryce Harper's attitude and mentality coming up too. He was more successful, but part of the development of these young minor leaguers is developing their social skills as well as their baseball skills.

He also found himself dealing with injuries that a pitcher who is older than 40 would deal with too.

He had a team capable of winning some games last year. That project was set to fail from the beginning, but they should have been better. I think it's less "Ozzie knows how to win" and more "Williams is better at building teams than people give him credit for"

You ask if you pass on Dwyane Wade if you had XYZ, but what if McLemore isn't Dwyane Wade but rather Rip Hamilton? Then you'd surely pass and wouldn't think twice.

Even including his s***ty rookie year, John Danks has averaged 6 innings a start, and once he figured it out, he averaged 6.1 to 6.2 innings a start. Danks pitches deeper into games than people realize.
