Video Memories of Sox Past
It's this year's marketing campaign, they've been playing that spot and another one with a janitor sweeping and that Sox fan with a SWEEP sign during the Spring Training games.

Cubs may play at The Cell?
If I lived in Chi-Town I'd definitely look into the public transportation. It took about 3 hours in traffic to get downtown to the game I went to last year, but I'm not used to Chicago traffic.

Game Thread 2/27/2008
Woo only about an hour more! Live Sox baseball! I'll be watching on MLB.tv as well, although it doesn't look like they're gonna have a premium feed up for the game, all I see is the 400k option.

2008 White Sox Catch-All Thread
Some Sox were in the front row on ECW tonight. Saw Ozzie, what looked like his son, Swisher, Dye, AJ and a few others. It was pretty quick.

Spring Training is Officially Here
I remember reading he was like that with Thomas when he was in Oakland, trying to soak up all he could from him.

GOT MY SOX TIX... what'd you get?
I'm going to try and go to Opening Day in Cleveland, depends on my friend.
-
Who is your favorite player currently on the Sox's MLB level team?
Thome; then AJ and Buehrle. I'm pretty excited about Swisher, but I'm going to start calling him a favorite until he does some nice stuff in our uniform.

USA Today editorial cartoon
Probably because we've played them really well, even last year.

Hawk signs extension
I watch all the games on mlb.TV, so all my friends aren't really White Sox fans but when they watch a game with me, they love Hawk and his catchphrases. I'm a fan as well, so I like this signing as much as any other off season move.

Uribe vs Richar BATTLE for 2nd Base
When I did a career mode in The Bigs for Wii last summer, I made the rookie I had to create play shortstop because Uribe was my least favorite player. However, in my first White Sox game at the Cell (since one when I was young back when it was New Comiskey) last summer, early in August against the Tribe he came through with that extra-innings game winning home-run after his earlier error looked like it would cost us the game. It was a great game, one of the better ones of the season and I will always have a place in my heart for Uribe from that game.

Octavio Dotel signs with Sox
I'm just excited to see anything other than the 07 team on the field.

The Official Soxtalk True Drunk Stories Thread
I woke up in a girl's bed last semester and she told me I got up and peed on her chair in the middle of the night. Apparently that wasn't any reason not to let me back in her bed though. Don't get black out drunk.

Least favorite Sox players
Is the Erstad hate really a hate of Darin as a person/player or a hate of our management's decision to play him everyday? I believe I read the Erstads did a lot of community things whilst in Chicago; with Mrs. Erstad working with Mrs. Thome.

Who likes the Swisher trade?
I dunno, what's better: a year in AAA developing that extra pitch or a year early in ML figuring out ML hitting? Legit, I don't know...

late spring training trades
I'm wondering; I didn't start reading these forums until right after the 05' season, so I consider myself a little out of the loop. Has the doom and gloom been this bad every off-season prior to 05 or is part of it brought on from heightened expectations from the World Series. I love the Quentin pick-up and that alone has me excited about 08; and I also believe in Danks and to an extent Floyd; and of course Fields and Richar. Maybe I'm just too optimistic.

White Sox decline Erstad, Myers options
I'm gonna miss ol' Grindy, he made for some great comic strips and hilarious moments on the field (who could forget the incident in Anahiem where he lost the ball in the twilight and stood there with his arms out? I made a drinking game out of the constant replaying of that clip).

Who Ya Rooting For?
Gotta love the Rockies. They made the playoff games exciting and watchable from the one-game playoff on while the AL games for the most part were very boring; look at the ALCS that was just teams trading lopsided wins.
