In case you were wondering I'm on Twitter @itsgottabeKANE and tried to retweet and favorite you when I was on Twitter (not too much). Great job good to see Sox love in the Fan Cave. -
Other board I read says it's Rios for Hanson, great trade if true.

Had a great time at the games I went to. The Upper Deck had a wave going for a good inning near the end of the game, which was pretty fun after a few drinks. Couldn't find Big Hurt Beer, found out on the 4th that they no longer sell it in the stadium after searching the lower deck and being directed to the outfield where an employee gave me the unfortunate news. I had some beer from one of those fancy vendors that recommend mixing flavors and had the Honey Bear which was honey beer and berry beer and man oh man was that good. My girlfriend was impressed with the stadium photographer's picture of us and I was happy with the $1 hot dogs that came through the section a few times. It was also nice that you could scan outside near Gate 5 (I think) and smoke and scan back in. Can't do that a lot of places out east. Overall, I loved the experience.

Fun time at the game tonight. We had a wild wave going in the UD. Hopefully get to see a winner tomorrow.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jul 2, 2013 -> 12:21 AM) Unless you have someone's season tickets, you can't get down to the lower deck with upper deck tickets. You can check out Chicago Sports Depot, it's connected to the park. You can stop there before, or even after going in the park. They'll scan your ticket in and out. Ton of merch in there, expensive stuff, but good selection. Bacardi at the Park is a place you can check out for a beer before, if you want, but it won't be cheap. Same gate as Chicago Sports Depot. Big Hurt Beer is sold in the park. In the upper deck, it's right behind the plate at a beer stand with a pretty large selection of bottles. Thanks for the help! Very excited for the games. 1000th post! w00t w00t. Definitely gonna try some Big Hurt Beer. Stopped at a beer/liquor store in Wheeling tonight (staying at my Grandpa's) and they told me I was on the wrong side of town to find it. Oh well their loss.

I am on vacation right now and am heading to the games Wednesday and Thursday. I am totally pumped as I haven't been to the Cell since 2007 (just my luck the Sox are s***ty again the year I actually get to go again). We are staying at the Central Loop hotel and planning on taking the train to the games. We've got upper deck tickets for Wednesday- I am under the impression we cant check out the rest of the stadium with these tickets? Its no biggie as we've got lower reserved the next day but I just wanted to confirm that. Any advice/suggestions on places to go before the games? Definitely want to hit up some place with Sox merchandise outside the stadium. Maybe grab a beer somewhere if its not ridiculously priced. Would love to try the Big Hurt Beer (is it served anywhere in the Cell?) Any advice for things we need to check out inside? I know of the outfield statues and stuff but I want to be sure to get the full experience. Couldn't seem to dig up an old thread- I know people have given tips before. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated. I cant wait!!

Let's go streaking. The Blue Jays did it why can't we?

It's nice to turn on a game and be up 9. Forgot what winning feels like.

I hope he's rehabbing with the Knights, they are in town (Rochester NY) the 24th through 26th. -
Blacked out of the game on MLB.tv; I'm used to only being blacked out of the Yankee series this sucks.

HOW ABOUT DESE BENCH GUYS?! f*** Carmona Hernandez!

I guess a day off is better than another loss, but if it would have been a win I miss being able to watch the game right now. I missed baseball too much over the off-season to get myself too worried right now about the s*** show. But it's not even a s*** show, the pitching has been there pretty much! Bats gotta come around eventually, I hope.

I'll always take a nice win in Toronto.

Just win!

QUOTE (Jake @ Apr 3, 2013 -> 12:41 PM) I won't be able to start watching till about 3 and I want to start from the beginning. Can I do that on MLB.tv or should I wait till it is definitely over? Might depend on the device you stream it from. My Roku has the option of Start from Beginning even when it's already started.

Awesome! Congrats!

Good. Sale deserves it, Peavy was right.
-
I enjoyed reading your recap, good luck!

I talked to Chris Sale yesterday! I was the one who asked him who should start opening day- him or Peavy. It all happened so fast, from seeing the 800 # posted on Facebook to calling in, that it was the best I could think of. I knew during Soxfest it had been reported he said Peavy should start and Peavy said he should start, so I just rolled with it. Tried to quickly google some stats while on hold, but his numbers against Tigers hitters was better than my memory of his W-L record vs. them so I had nothing else to ask.
