So happy to be above .500 and doing it in ways I forgot how to win (comebacks). Stir that drink, boys.

What should the White Sox do with Carlos Rodon?
claydude14 replied to Dam8610's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Replace Noesi. Like someone said, rest with call-up spot starts as needed as we roll into contention. Phantom DL if necessary late July. -
See where Flowers/Soto/AJ at are in July, and if AJ is actually a beneficial upgrade still at that point, absolutely.

Stealing Halftime Heat's gimmick, I see.

The way they were working tickets for today's game before it was postponed was that if you had a ticket from Friday you could exchange it for a $10 bleacher seat or something like that, saw it on Facebook earlier I believe.

Pitching match-ups for White Sox/Royals series
claydude14 replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Ruck the Foyals I'd be ecstatic to take 2 of 3.... oh nm, it's 4? I'd be ok with 2-2 but 3-1 proves something. They are not tough like they think they are. -
First game I was unable to watch and or listen to live this season. Of course this happens!

"Believe" - New documentary about '05 Sox
claydude14 replied to LittleHurt05's topic in Pale Hose Talk
As an out of state fan, I'm all over my want for this; like my desire for anything 2k5 related... especially the early playoff round games *ESPECIALLY THE AJ ALCS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!* ... got the World Series DVD from 05 and it was only clinching games besides the entire series. I got Mark's Perfect Game from here and am willing to compensate... please!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PM me.... My Grandfather lives in a Chi-Town burb' and I've tried slinging stuff but he's way too old... -
I definitely prefer Steel Reserve to Natty Daddy. We used to do Steel Reserve Thursdays in college. They never ended well. Especially if I played the Darin Erstad drinking game, where I'd watch that clip of him in Angels stadium where he lost a pop fly in the lights and put his arms out "... and it drops behind him!" on loop, drinking every time Erstad did not make the catch.

QUOTE (TitoMB @ Apr 6, 2015 -> 02:21 PM) Awesome. Think I'll give it a try then! And I agree with all of that except the Natty.. Haha, I don't blame you. Let's just say I'm not drinking it for the taste (dirt cheap with 8% alcohol, let's get drunk)

QUOTE (TitoMB @ Apr 6, 2015 -> 01:49 PM) That's what I'm trying to figure out. How's the service? Are there ever interruptions? How's the customer service? I've been a mlb.TV subscriber since 2006, the service has always been great but it's gotten better every year. There are rarely interruptions, especially if you watch on your PC because you can adjust the stream quality to match your bandwith. I watch on my computer, on Roku and on my phone. It's totally worth the money. Customer service has been great the few times I needed to reach out to them (one year I was paying monthly and forgot to cancel for the last month when the Sox were totally out of it and I was on a budget, I requested a refund after they had pulled the money from me and got it back in a timely fashion). I'm ready!

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Apr 3, 2015 -> 01:52 PM) mlb.tv has added a Roku option for 2015, so I have made my purchase and will be watching the game! I've been watching it on my Roku for five years. I'm pumped I finally got a smartphone and will be able to tune into day games at work.

Oh, s***... @CLE on 4/15 for a NOON EST start? Time to start twisting my fiance's arm I want to be there for that... $12 tix with first drink free in their right field bullpen? Sign me up! Standing room only won't me s*** at a game that early in April! #DayTrip!!!!
-
Got the day off, so mlb.TV on the couch in HD as always... but hey, inclement weather scheduled? Maybe I'll be safe and take Tuesday off too... if the game doesn't play, fine, if the game does play, recovery mode from excessive beers, hot dogs, peanuts, and cracker jacks. I always ball for Opening Day.

I love Q, he absolutely deserves it, but Shark makes sense on the match-ups and Sale coming back plus that extra respect card to get him to re-sign with us. No issue with this at all, I've anticipated this all along when Sale went down. I think he will eat up the "new" KC (FU Rios), not as much as Sale would but Ventura vs. our new line up against Big Game Shields' vs. last years line up doesn't phase me. Sox will be 1-0 at the end of the day. Book it.

Blue Jays prospect, who lives out of his van
claydude14 replied to southsider2k5's topic in The Diamond Club
This guy is great. If he stops in AAA Buffalo I'll do everything I can to interview this intersting individual as I just started writing for a Buffalo Sports site even though I'm in Rochester. -
I loved me some Gavin, and a healthy Gavin with Cleveland's rotation this year scared me. Don't wanna wish injury upon anyone, especially an athlete I like, but I am OK with this.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 17, 2015 -> 02:52 AM) Why? Can people not excel at jobs with which they are not happy? Mark Buehrle talked about retiring at 28/29, and talked about retiring at 32/33. I think he enjoys baseball, but it's work. He's made more than $100 million in his career, and he doesn't appear to be the type to enjoy a lavish lifestyle. Just because someone succeeds in their career exceedingly well does not mean that they enjoy it or want to be apart of it as long as they are a capable worker. I hate my job personally, but when I'm at it getting paid to do it I strive to be better than anyone else doing it, because I will get recognized for it and paid even more. quick edit: man I haven't posted here this offseason have I... still read it everyday but time to update my sig... might just go back to GrindErstad Palehose comic if I still got it! This one was made for me by the photoshop happy fiance and is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy outdated now hahaha.

Another "Ozzie wants to get back into baseball" article
claydude14 replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I agree that Ozzie was more entertaining, and that the jury is still out on Robin. And if you want entertainment, I hope you are looking forward to AJP, White Sox Manager, within the next 10 years. Cause the Oz ain't getting back here; after he f'ed up the Marlins gig, I honestly see no other management group that would think "Yea, that's our guy!" Maybe McCourt era Dodgers but certainly not the current era Dodgers. -
If anyone DOES have a DVD burner, or the capability to DVR it and upload it, I'd reward you handsomely since I live on the east coast and have no way of making a copy myself.

I'm rooting for Uribe.

Live arms for DeAza!!!! YES!!! I wanted him gone before the season even started, although I will miss singing Lady Gaga's Alejandro every time he came to plate. Never understood why he didn't make that his walk up music. So catchy. "Alejandro, Alejandro... Alé Alé jandro, Alé Alé jandrooooooo"

Holy shift!

D-Backs did that to Dodger fans in their premium seats last year.

It's about that time of the year again...
claydude14 replied to ChiliIrishHammock24's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Yea this week's losing streak has got my outside shot of sneakily sneaking into the 2nd wild card hopes pretty much crushed. It would definitely help us out more next year to get a protected pick so we can land a decent FA.
