Ok caught the game tonight randomly, had control of the remote, haven’t seen a lot this season and my wife was wondering wtf this broadcast is. She hasn’t watched since Hawk retired and I haven’t much either to be honest (we have a 2 year old and following bad Sox ball live from NY isn’t as high on my list as it used to be as a daily watcher). who the f is this guy it’s not even bad good it’s just hard to listen to! Considered moving to the Angels broadcast team. So much for a rare night of getting to watch baseball!

Man at that price with two hours beer and food that’s a steal for a ballpark experience wish I was able to attend!

Hahn slow slow slow roasts his turkey. He has a timeline for it. The oven is preheating right now and should open in about 2 days. In the meantime he’s acquiring some seasoning and baste. He is contemplating a bold expensive deep frier to speed up the timeline for the turkey but isn’t sold yet.

I feel ya on this like everyone said you learn not to live and die with the team when you grow up. I was an MLB.tv subscriber for ten years after the World Series (2006–2016) And just couldn’t pony up anymore. I got married, had a kid, and quite frankly the team hasn’t given me a reason to want to tune in every game like I did in my 20s (I was 19 when we won the World Series). I still catch highlights, lurk on this board and follow the MLB in general online and cannot wait to watch games with my son when he’s old enough to appreciate and understand it. But the days of watching every game have passed me by for now at this point in my life... 2007 was probably one of my favorite seasons and it was terrible. Darin Estrad “it drops behind him!” losing a pop up in the lights @ Angels is one of my favorite bad plays. Bad baseball can be fun to enjoy for different reasons, but I just don’t have the time for it right now.

He went 7 scoreless against the Twins AAA team last weekend, might end up facing some of the same batters.

Selfishly I hope not Charlotte is coming to Rochester next week and I really want to see Eloy in person.

I didn't really get to watch Sox games until getting MLB.TV for the 2006 season, not having even WGN where I lived. And only having one other friend who's a Sox guy, I definitely came to love and appreciate Hawk's homerish ways. Like people have said, it feels like you're watching the game with another Sox fan which is huge when you don't have other Sox fans to watch games with. Civil War: I'm with Hawk.

I always take off Opening Day. This year I had to take Tuesday as well since it was a 10 start time. I got my beer, popcorn, peanuts, cracker jacks, big league chrw, seeds, and hot dogs. I usually take a picture but I started pregame drinking when RAW came on. Love Opening Day! Go Sox!!!!!

Ugh. I was playing last year's MLB The Show on PS4 this weekend against my brother who's a Cubs fan. With rosters from the end of the year... so Olt was my 3B. He was terrible, my brother just kept hitting balls to third that Olt wouldn't reach. This may have been partially due to alcoholic consumption, but I smiled when I read Olt was DFA'd because I was cursing the s*** out of him because video games. Oh, yea, game ended when I just started throwing at all his batters in the 6th inning. Good times. Thanks, Olt.

Glad the Yankees lost. And let's go Pirates! And here in Western NY, as far as casuals go it's like 75% Yankees, 22% Mets, 2% Blue Jays (closest geographically) and 1% crapshoot. Of that crapshoot, I've met a few Cubs fans through work over the past 10 years. They don't watch the games but are quick to get on me for wearing White Sox gear (while owning no Cubs gear). In this instance the two particular dues I'm thinking of also happened to be Cowboys fans. AKA "America's Teams" homers IMO. I get why people around me have abandoned the Bills over the years in pursuit of following a winner, but "Cubs" fans who don't even watch the Cubs are obnoxious as s*** even here in NY. I was following Cubs/Pirates on my phone at the end of a shift a month or so ago, dude across cubicle is generic "Cubs fan" and they had scored to go ahead and he started clapping. "You watching the Cubs game?" "No, x player just scored for my baseball team on Fanduel"

Catching a game in Toronto next Sunday as part of my honeymoon (getting married Friday), excited to watch the Jays. Plan on picking up a Buerhle shirsey. Prices as expected are much higher since the last time I caught a Sox game there in 2009 when we were able to walk up and get club level for under $50 Canadian. Stubhub is all $30-40 for the Upper Deck right now and where we sat then is around $100 American. Back then the exchange rate was pretty close where as now our dollar is stronger than Canada's. Had to watch Roy Halladay own us that day... we jumped to a 2-0 lead on Halladay then got shut out which brought back bad memories from the year before in 2008 (infamous blow up doll clubhouse scandal broke that day!) when Halladay out-dueled Contreras who actually pitched the whole game and lost 3-2.

I'd settle for a split, tough loss in extras but the Foyals are good.

I've learned my lesson to subscribe to MLB.tv monthly rather than yearly, sadly. That 6 game streak gave me false hopes. Is there anyway to just play the Brewers and A's all the time?! The Twins piss me off the most. That's where I expected to be after this off-season.
