I think Boston will be maxed out frankly and will not have much payroll flexibilty once they get Arod, unless they let Pedro go....
-
Can you please stop posting new threads for the heck of it Wsoxshuf? Seriously, are you freaking 13 or what? Stop acting like a pre-adolescent juvenile and grow up We understand you love this team, but my God, I swear I saw a post from you telling us you were going to sleep a while back
-
You can get rid of Jose, but remember we better improve....our O sucked last year with Willie and Rowand starting, and I can see that again if we keep dumping our bats without improving
-
Dodgers need hitting, not Garcia...try again
-
So is Jose gone or no? WSCR update?
-
What about our frontline pitcher though? If we trade Maggs and prospects for Nomar and Damon (and assume Nomar signs extension), and then trade pick/prospects for Everett to Expos, and Valentin for Guillen, our lineup would be awesome with: Damon (CF), Lee (LF), Nomar (SS), Frank (DH), Everett (RF), Konerko (1B), Crede (3B), Guillen (2B), Sandy/Olivo © We would still not have a frontline pitcher though...to go with Buerhle, E-lo and Garland If we could only unload Koerko then for some pitching to the Dodgers (Perez)
-
The Ms have two deals on the table they are considering for Garcia ....none of them with the Sox, so that is good news as far as I am concerned (NO TO MAGS FOR GARCIA) They have Garcia to the Dodgers for Paul De Luca and Garcia to the Mets for Roger Cedeno and some more folks
-
You cannot take the Royals seriously until they have quality pitching, and they do not Look at their starters, then look at ours
-
When will White Sox fans learn to appreciate that Frank's #s at his salary are probably the best bargain in all of baseball for a veteran player who could be a FA is beyond me Yes, there are the young players who make less and produce a lot, but when you look at what Manny, Maggs etc make, Frank's #s vs his production is the best deal for the Sox Like Kenny Williams said in the ChicagoSports.com, if you want to make an offer fro Frank you BETTER not embarass the Sox, or Frank with something stupid.
-
Doesn't matter.....the so-called die hard fans rather whine and moan to death than support their team
-
If you want to propose a trade, please put a "?" in your heading.....otherwise it seems like you are reporting a trade
-
If you read carefully, it says the 58 mill salary is not really a ceiling....our payroll could be higher
-
Well I left out Millwood considering he was way out of our league....the other three can still be 7-8 mill signees...no chance with Millwood
-
It has to be Maddux, Garcia or Ponson now right? Petite...he gawn Colon...he gawn Escobar...he gawn Batista...he gawn Vasquez...he gawn Kevin Brown...he gawn We cannot have Scho and Neil Cotts as 4 and 5 can we?

Why the f*** does everyone hype Nick freaking Johnson so much? Yankees never let anyone good go somewhere else Look at their freaking trades over the years Nick Johnson is freaking mediocre at best
-
Get Kenny Lofton back....speed in the OF, left handed bat and lead off GET KENNY BACK DAMN IT Kenny vs RHPs/Rowand vs LHPs C Lee FT Maggs Valentin vs RHP/Uribe vs LHP PK Crede Willie H at 2B until trade deadline Olivo/Sandy We get 3 LHs scattered in our line up that way
-
Replace Lee with PK and I am all for it
-
YOu really think Loaiza will stay aftre next year......he is a FA then, and when he wins 18 again, HE GAWN No way we re-sign him then.....
-
In your example case, you do have other restaurants to go to.....our choice is the Cubs. Makes sense? Sports is like politics in that if you love a team (or a party's agenda) you can never be pursuaded to stop doing it. It would mean lowering ourselves in our own eyes (say if we went to Cubs games instead) And one more thing, if you stop going to the restaurant, it will run of business and fold up. Most likely, with the way baseball is, 10 teams will fold before ours, and if jerry does get fed up, he may move before he sells. And like cwsox said, not going to games is voting to move this team out of here....I do not want that. joshPR: You say JR is making money and that we had 30000 fans last year....that is BS.....except for half nights, no one showed up on any other night.....go look at the attendance log, you will get a clue on reality. Against Boston and Minnesota (two games I went to), there were not more than 22000 fans each. AND WE WERE IN THE THICK OF A PENNANT RACE.

If the Yankees cannot afford Vlad, no one else can....no way any team is going to give Vlad the deal ARod got....those deals will never happen again
-
Frank might leave too....since his double option will kick on again with his decision followed by our decision
-
Remember we were scared to commit to 4 years to Colon when we were willing to pay for 3 years So it does not surprise me that we wanted Sully for one year when he wanted two Jerry R should just f***ing sell, asswipe
-
First off, Anderson is not being easy with the contract extensions with the Angels Next, remember the Cubs are paying cash as part of the deal...that could be a swing factor depending on the $ involved
