Madrigal? Morel? Quick handsy type swing. Looks like he clipped with glove and definitely got line. Robert actually adjusted his approach there.

Chapman vs. Robert the Cuban version of Trout vs. Ohtani. Chapman should walk Robert but that won't happen.

Scary what things would look like with Conforto...at least shorter term contract and still some upside.

Mariners Mets Cardinals Phillies Guardians Padres Yankees...joining Sox for biggest disappointments. Except those other teams were expected to compete for 1st/2nd.

3-8 in the lineup actually with decent offensive numbers right now. It's Sosa Anderson and Benintendi with the worst stats. Anderson had something like the highest rolling MLB batting average over a 3-4 year period heading into the 2022 season. Pretty incredible.

Do the White Sox have too much starting pitching?

The Jarred Kelenic Appreciation Thread
Kelenic is clearly an improved player and will provide fantasy value with homers and steals, but it’s safe to expect his batting average to continue to drop. Pitchers have adjusted to him, throwing far more breaking balls and fewer fastballs since the end of last month, and his K% has spiked as a result. We are still dealing with small samples, and Kelenic will adjust to the adjustments, but he’s batting .204/.264/.286 with zero homers and 18 strikeouts (34.0 K%) over this span (49 ABs). THE BAT X projects Kelenic to hit .236 over the rest of the season. Yahoo fantasy sports

5/10- Sox at Royals, 6:40
They're only ahead of Oakland for run differential. Lost a lot of ground head to head this week. Promise of Sunday's win has practically evaporated.

Started down the stretch in 2005. That crazy game they were way ahead... you woke up the next day and were absolutely stunned they had managed to lose.

Least likeable team since 2000
Especially Robert in 2019-20. And the tide really shifted on the "we don't even need that Machado guy" pretty quickly. Plus, Machado had long periods of offensive struggle that first year in SD as well. Looking back on that Kopech debut every Sox fan watched...maybe that was the first real gut punch, just as much as trade deadline 2021 or, prior to that, losing Game 3 and Crochet against the A's in the first round.

Don't forget Charles Johnson...

Do the White Sox have too much starting pitching?
"Going into 2021, the rotation would be Giolito, Wheeler, Kopech (second full season), Cease (second full season), and either Rodon or Dunning. To me, that’s potentially an awesome rotation." Rick Hahn likes this post. Theoretical plans have to count for something...

2014-15 seems more like 15 years ago with how bad that KC organization has become…especially on the pitching front.

Royals: Steer Brady Singer back on track Singer, the Royals’ first-round Draft pick in 2018, had a breakout 2022 season with a 3.23 ERA across 153 1/3 innings. The start to '23 hasn’t been as smooth. The 26-year-old has an 8.82 ERA entering Thursday’s start against the White Sox, with a 1.60 WHIP. He’s allowed the most runs (33) in baseball, and hitters are crushing his fastball with a .338 average against Singer’s most-used pitch. Royals pitching must take a step forward this season as the club evaluates what they have in their system. That includes seeing other homegrown pitchers improving like Singer did last season. Now it also includes getting Singer back on that same path.-- Anne Rogers mlb.com
