  1. Not sure...accessing most US websites from China have them now even with a VPN.
  2. Yankees' new Director of International Scouting only makes their failure more baffling What — and we cannot stress this enough — the f***. ByAdam Weinrib|Jan 27, 2026 "This did not make sense at all. Were the Yankees really so aghast at Rowland's scouting — which many publications are aligned on! — that they'd rather not participate in the process instead of dole out ~$4 million pre-agreements? Was there something sketchy going on behind the scenes, where MLB demanded they divest to prevent a large-scale investigation/suspension? These prospects — and the agents who represent them — couldn't really have loved Rowland this much, could they?! Garza has spent essentially his entire career with the Yankees. He's as internal as internal gets. If MLB was about to drop a hammer on Rowland and the Yankees, this wouldn't have been the move. If the Yankees wanted to make a change to their evaluation process, this definitely wouldn't have been the move; Garza was the team's director of Latin American operations from 2017-2019. As it stands, the Yankees spent two months hemorrhaging talent while seeking a changing of the guard, than changed that guard by promoting someone they already had in their braintrust to a different position of power ... all in an effort to salvage a cascading pile of disintegrating relationships? Maybe we were being too generous in assuming that Rowland had to have triggered some sort of massive scandal for this all to make sense. Maybe the Yankees really are that incompetent, and had no idea the damage they'd cause by making a change. As it stands, they've lost two years of talent from one of the very few prospect pools they can access without getting lucky at the back of the first round/nailing a comp pick. Hope the time lost was worth it. Hope Garza is an historically good whisperer. God forbid the Yankees ask someone who hasn't already been in the building for their opinion on anything." https://yanksgoyard.com/yankees-new-director-of-international-scouting-only-makes-their-failure-more-baffling
  3. "I Want That To Be The Standard:" Omaha Looms Large Over Alabama's 2026 Season Alabama baseball looks to redeem its regional failures and end a 27-year College World Series drought this spring. Theodore Fernandez|Feb 13, 2026 "Lebron is arguably the best defensive player in the nation, a projected top-five MLB Draft pick in July who could leave campus as the most decorated player to ever call Sewell-Thomas Stadium home. "He just does stuff that other people can't do," Lebron's roommate and teammate Zane Adams said. "You see it in practice, you see in the scrimmages, you'll see in the games coming up, he's just gifted, he's special." The dominance Lebron has displayed on the diamond made him one of the most valuable players in the transfer portal over the summer. Despite having the ability to start at just about any program in the country, the junior did not even consider a move." https://www.si.com/college/alabama/baseball/i-want-standard-omaha-looms-large-over-alabama-2026-season
  4. 69-93 sounds about right...compromise position between optimists and pessimists.
  5. https://www.mlb.com/whitesox/schedule/2026-02/list White Sox getting in four home February spring training games for Murakami "attendance/media boost" ... plus @ Dodgers next Thurs which is really another home game the day before he leaves for the WBC on the 27th. Also has the reunion in Mesa with Suzuki and Imanaga next Friday in Mesa.
  6. Heyman getting a sales/agent referral commission?
  7. Think the moment has now pretty much passed for Fegan to dig into it...he's just going to deflect.
  8. Too much information lol. I guess it's better than Nugenix or Viagra. Hard to over state how different the toilet culture is in Asia. Ofc you have China with their open holes/squat public toilets that are so uncomfortable for westerners...and having to bring your own toilet paper and never flushing it into the sewers. Which most find impossible to father. Japan is next level better in terms of comfort/ease and high tech (heated toilets an absolute must in colder climates), then Taiwan and Korea.
  9. "Whoever was running the show down there must’ve been doing some pretty fucked up s%*# for this to all blow up and for them to all get fired. Wonder if they were skimming money off the top. Plus, most of these kids have all sucked anyway." Compared to Jim Bowden/Dave Wilder situation with skimming bonuses. https://www.reddit.com/r/NYYankees/comments/1r2t4vs/yankees_lose_top_17yearold_catcher_as_prospects/&sa=U&ved=2ahUKEwiE39bYm9qSAxXPkq8BHfdKDKEQFnoECAMQAg&usg=AOvVaw1LfrXNUG6_vmJCbDe0gHNC Why the Yankees couldn’t afford the international scouting status quo nypost.com › 2026/01/30 › sports › why... Jan 30, 2026 · The reality is the vast majority of international signings will not pan out. It is also reality that the Yankees have had their fair share of big misses...
  10. Lebron entered spring ball in Top 3-5 in most mock draft positionings. fwiw Looks like he has put on some added weight/strength. Grady Emerson the clear #2. Btw, which UCD starter against UCLA was their best, Fri or Sat guy?
  11. SD adding Marquez (no terms yet announced) possibly through 2027: leaves Michael King, Nick Pivetta, and Joe Musgrove (TJS return) in the top three spots, with some combination of Márquez, Canning (when healthy, returning from Achilles'), Randy Vásquez, and JP Sears taking the last two spots. MLBtraderumors.com Seems Mason Miller back to closer. Castellanos replaces O'Hearn. Still haven't really replaced R.Suarez, Arraez and Cease...the latter two the biggest losses.
  12. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2026/02/dodgers-max-muncy-extension-2027.html Dodgers extending Max Muncy, possibly through 2028. Looks like they're not 100% in on Mune Murakami as of yet at 3B. LAD "stuck" with Freeman/Ohtani at DH...eventually Betts.
  13. Man that Yankees' leadership changeover on the Intl side really did a number dignings existing signings. Kind of the opposite effect with the White Sox/Paddy seemingly mailing it in the last couple of years and the Cuban Connection drying up as well.
  14. Or maybe referring to him as the best SS prospect since Troy Tulowitzki in 2007...?
  15. What was Burger in 2022-23 with the Sox? He was right up there, too.
  16. Sounds like NIL/transfer deals falling through for NCAA teams lol.
  17. Preller striking late in offseason two years in a row trying to hit mother lode at bargain bin prices. Pivetta deal was Feb 17th, 2025, Sheets on Feb 10th. Kyle Hart on Feb 13th.

  20. Kondoh if he holds up in CF to replace Acuna.
  21. Never a Chicago/Bulls Bears SNL accent...grew up in Iowa/Quad Cities. Generally, the food here doesn't have MSG like the US, but I had a bad Western junk food and soda addiction (Coke is still just 30-40 cents per can) that I had to change after being stubborn about not changing those well-engrained dietary habits over the last 10-15 years or so. Generally ke kung pao chicken with sweet (Hangzhou style) sauce the most, cashew chicken, anything with sweet and sour sauce, fried rice, dumplings, ciao long bao, crab noodles but not too spicy, hot dry noodles (rugamien) are famous in Wuhan. Crab rangoon is quite different compared to US/San Francisco style with the cream cheese emphasis. Beijing/Peking duck occasionally. Szechuan/Sichuan, Chongqing, Human are very famous for very spicy dishes and hot pot.
  22. https://stats.statbroadcast.com/statmonitr/?id=642889 1/4 with a double, just stranded, leading UCD 8-4 going into the 9th. Hitting second.
  23. https://www.fangraphs.com/players/zac-gallen/19291/stats/pitching 4.2 5.2 2.8 Averaged 4.1 fWAR for three seasons before turning 30 last August. Last year clearly a down season. But that would be $28-40 million fair market value one offseason ago. The QO attached just killed his market, and his last two seasons compared to prime of 2022-23.
